7/19 Games
QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Jul 19, 2014 -> 08:56 PM) If you a prospect is struggling, why do you continue to play him everyday. Trey M (My favorite prospect in the system btw) is 0 for his last 39?, and is obviously stuck in a rut, but he keeps going out there everyday. Why not give him a chance to breathe and collect himself? He's in a slump, but he's not 0-39. Still at .280.

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jul 19, 2014 -> 03:51 PM) Why is Sanchez still on the roster? The way they're explaining it is that the bullpen arms are fresh, so they only need 6 right now, and Sanchez gives them flexibility in the infield. Or you can be a skeptic and think a trade is coming, and Sanchez is already there and ready to go.

Sox officially sign Rodon
https://twitter.com/scotgregor/status/490267266970550272 It certainly appears they're going to give Rodon a shot to get big league time this season if he performs.

July 18 Game thread White Sox vs Astros
QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ Jul 18, 2014 -> 05:42 PM) Once a player gets sent down, doesn't the team have to wait a certain amount of days before calling them back up? If so maybe that makes sense as to why they are keeping him up here in case Ramirez can't go 100%. They'd only have Garcia on the bench. Yes, but Alexei is fine and Semien could be called up if something happened. Plus the Sox only have 6 in the pen, which isn't the usual. So what I'm saying is...trade Beckham.

Brady Aiken DID NOT SIGN
He hasn't thrown a pitch yet, and I'm so glad the Sox got Rodon.

Brady Aiken DID NOT SIGN
QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jul 18, 2014 -> 03:53 PM) Seven minutes until Aiken either signs or does not. Crazy. Feels good that we're not sweating out Rodon right now...even though he was never NOT going to sign.

Sox officially sign Rodon
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jul 18, 2014 -> 10:24 AM) Rodon will supposedly be at The Cell tonight. Has anyone heard anything about a Press Conference, Conference call or anything scheduled for today? I haven't seen anything on Twitter, and the two new Bulls are throwing out the first pitch.

ALL-STAR GAME THREAD 7/15: NL @ AL
QUOTE (lord chas @ Jul 15, 2014 -> 10:51 PM) Fox ever make a mention of Tony Gwynn or Don Zimmer? It would have been a nice touch if they mentioned Gwynn. He led off the ASG in Minnesota in 1985. And Zimmer too. It didn't have to be a downer thing, and it wouldn't have taken long.
