  1. Goin' for the sweep!....oh wait.
  2. I'm blaming Ventura if Rodon doesn't pass his physical. Just want to say that before it happens.
  3. This is looking like the Yankees series. Win the first two, blow the third, and a loss tomorrow would mean a disappointing split.
  4. When the opponent scores their 4th run, the Sox are 10-44 (.185).
  5. 100 pitches for Sale. He needs two outs to get the ERA under 2--in front of Farrell.
  6. The Sox lost too many games in June, and are probably not going to get back in it, but if I'm Rick Hahn, I'm probably holding off on anything until everyone has played 100 games. You at least have to see if the Mariners, Orioles, and Royals play well the next couple weeks.
  7. 7.2 scoreless innings gets his ERA under 2.00.

    The fathom jinx. Davidson homered.
  9. More smoke... https://twitter.com/jgravleyWRAL
  10. Somebody on Twitter (so you know it's true), is saying Rodon could be in Chicago as early as today to sign his contract.
  11. Look at this way--if he never played for the Sox before, would you consider him as a guy that would fit into the plan Hahn and the Sox have now? They want to acquire players that fit into the long term. Now, would it feel good to see a headline "Sox DFA Tyler Flowers"? Yes it would. But I'd rather just play out the season, and more specifically, see what they can do over the next few weeks. Maybe they can get a catcher that fits more into the long term plan.
  12. 71 games left. Don't bother.

  19. Cardinals didn't have a walk off homer since Freese in the 2011 World Series. Now back-to-back nights--Adams and Wong.
  20. Some team is going to want De Aza. He's good insurance.
  21. Eaton 8, Beckham 4, Abreu 3, Dunn DH, Ramirez 6, Gillaspie 5, Viciedo 9, De Aza 7, Flowers 2 Holt RF, Pedroia 2B, Ortiz DH, Napoli 1B, Gomes LF, Bogaerts 3B, Ross C, Drew SS, Betts CF,
  22. I don't care if the Sox get Buck, but Flowers is hitting .093 since May 26. Just sayin'.
  23. They'll fall back again. 74-88.
  24. 7-3 the last 10...who are these guys?
  25. QUOTE (lostfan @ Jul 7, 2014 -> 09:51 PM) Remember last year when Sale started the All-Star game and dominated the NL for 2 innings? Yeah. Scherzer started. But yes, Sale should have won the MVP.
