  1. 0-10 on Saturday this season. Hell of way for that to happen.
  2. Semien handles the first play of the game in left field. From Lakso
  3. Eaton 8, Beckham 4, Gillaspie 5, Abreu 3, Dunn DH, Ramirez 6, Viciedo 9. De Aza 7, Flowers 2 Kendrick, Trout, Pujols, Freese, Hamilton, Cron, Aybar, Iannetta, Cowgill
  4. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jun 7, 2014 -> 02:17 PM) Braves took Providence Catholic RHP Jake Godfrey in 21st round. He will be attending LSU. They may have taken the wrong Godfrey in the 21st. Took another CF Godfrey in Round 22.
  5. No win today. He'd have to beat the Yankees twice, the Orioles, and Chris Sale in order to get #200 against the Sox.
  6. Buehrle-2.04 ERA 7 ip, 5 hits, 1 er, 5 bb, 6 k Needs two runs and two bullpen innings to get a win.
  7. Incredible they have to do 20 more rounds to find a dozen future big leaguers.
  8. 1-0, Cardinals going to 7th. Jays had a chance in the 6th. No dice.
  9. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Jun 7, 2014 -> 01:29 PM) Too bad we couldn't pull in Curtis Curtis, lucky Brewers. That was a mistake. His name is Luke Curtis.
  10. 1993 ALCS Game 5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZN39YTn7z70 Juan Guzman was really good.
  11. They should call up Rondon and Frye to go along with Chris Sales and Jose Quintero immediately.
  12. Laumann on the Score in about 5 minutes...if you can't get enough of him.
  13. This one's for Caulfield... Simple math, really. 100 games left. 50 home. 50 road. Need 87 wins for the second wildcard--that's my assumption right now, although the Mariners and Yankees are tied, on pace for 84 wins. Here's what the Sox have left: 16 - Twins 10-6 (10 games at Target Field) 13 - Tigers 6-7 13 - Royals 7-6 (10 games at The Cell) 9 - Indians 5-4 7 - Blue Jays 4-3 7 - Mariners 4-3 6 - Orioles 3-3 5 - Angels 3-2 4 - Red Sox 2-2 4 - A's 2-2 4 - Giants 2-2 3 - Yankees 2-1 3 - Rays 2-1 3 - Astros 2-1 3 - Rangers 2-1 56-44, to finish 87-75. Another way to look at it-- If they can squeeze 21 more starts out of Chris Sale, and the team goes 16-5 in those starts, they have to go 40-39 whenever somebody else pitches. The keys- Chris Sale's starts must be "Win Day" Beat up the Twins Stay away from sweeps
  14. It's going to be interesting to see what Beck ends up being. 4th or 5th starter? Long reliever? Not good enough?
  15. Rienzo is clearly the 5th starter and he's going to suck probably 3 out of 10 starts. If it's going to come against Weaver, that's ok. Get 'em next time. Sale tomorrow.
  16. Is there any doubt Aybar is getting a rbi here?
  17. This would be a huge win tonight, considering the matchup and the wildcard situation. Orioles and Mariners losing tonight was good.
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 6, 2014 -> 10:18 PM) Some of these averages are free falling. It's a shame Viciedo is still plagued by his streakiness. To me, it's hard to find a spot for him on next years team. Agreed. I'm hoping for Beckham and Viciedo to play just well enough to get in the postseason, but also to be traded in November-December.
  19. Hawkins can start hitting ropes all over the field any day now. .238
  20. QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ Jun 6, 2014 -> 08:28 PM) This too. Yeah, that's true.
  21. Love the first two picks, obviously. If they get a bullpen arm or two, or a bench player from 3-10, that's a bonus. If Rodon is an All Star and a top-5 Cy guy, and Adams is in a future Sox rotation, it's a great draft.
