Anyone over 30 years old should be on 1-2 year contracts while the Sox develop their own. No more Peavy, Rios, Dunn stuff when the rest of the team and farm system isn't good enough.

With all due respect, there is 0% chance the Sox sign Ellsbury, nor would it be a good move right now for the team.

The Sox are in a position now where they can't afford to give 3-4 year contracts to guys in their 30's. It's gotta be young guys and veterans on 1-2 year contracts, while they try to rebuild the farm system. Lean times ahead, but they have to pay the price for doing it wrong the last five years.

I'm just going to blame Darryl Boston like it's 1988.
