  6. QUOTE (TitoMB @ Aug 5, 2013 -> 03:38 PM) Hoping for an A-rod walkoff. How awesome that would be. 11 game losing streak (worst in 57 years) courtesy of A-roid. It's in Chicago.

It's not out of the question. He's been hot, warm climate, Texas boy, doesn't have to carry the team....there are some factors that would make him appealing to the Rangers.
  8. Montas got hit in his non-throwing arm his last start for Lowell. Buddy Bell said he'll get his first start this Thursday.
  9. I'm curious if we'll hear the actual evidence that got them all caught. It had to be more than just names written in a notebook. I'd like to hear the science of it, and how they didn't fail tests.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 5, 2013 -> 09:28 AM) I hope he does not get that opportunity, I hope he goes to AAA to start the year, as he should, and earns an opportunity to take over a position by midseason. If he has a good month at Charlotte, a good AFL, and a good spring training, I want him on the team next year. It's time to start crafting what the future of this team is going to be. If there's an opening in the infield, there's no good reason not to give him a shot for a team that will have no expectations next year. This is when you give young players opportunities, and sometimes they provide the best surprises.

Next year would be a perfect season to give Semien a shot to play everyday. I hope he gets an opportunity to make the team in spring training.
  12. QUOTE (knightni @ Aug 4, 2013 -> 08:08 PM) Baltimore Colts DL Art Donovan, 89. http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/...0,2235243.story He was the best on Letterman. Very funny guy. Youtube has a bunch of them.
  13. QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 4, 2013 -> 03:44 PM) Why give up outs to Axelrod? Dumb. I guess that's why.
  14. QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 4, 2013 -> 11:45 AM) The Sox have never lost every game of a road trip that was 7 games or longer. Today is the day. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
  15. Why give up outs to Axelrod? Dumb.
  16. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 4, 2013 -> 03:40 PM) Miggy vs. Axe? No fair! Yeah, not a good match up.
  17. Flowers? Non-tender candidate?
  18. Probably Keppinger. Maybe Ramirez. Dunn, Konerko, Rios even being on the 2015 team? No chance.
  19. Alright, this game is over in a few minutes. C'mon boys.
  20. Avila kills us in these situations. Expecting a walk off.
  21. A lot of nice comments for Jim Leyland on Twitter.

QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Aug 4, 2013 -> 02:18 PM) I wouldn't move him unless we got some real value. 15 mil off the books is value...at least to me.
  23. Damn you , De Aza. You can't even lose right.

    Anderson 2-4, double
  25. Three singles, a walk, and a wild pitch...and don't score. That's awesome.
