8/11 Twins vs White Sox
Wow, that's pretty incredible. 3 blown saves in a row. Wonder if that's ever happened before for him? edit: answer my own question. Yes, first time.

8/11 Twins vs White Sox
QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ Aug 11, 2013 -> 02:00 PM) Hawk under the weather. Wimpy there to be honored today so they dragged him into the booth. Hawk was on Talkin' Baseball yesterday. He sounded real tired and slow. It was weird.

Rios, $1M traded to Rangers
Leury Garcia is active on the Round Rock roster, but hasn't played since Thursday, so maybe they are trying to get him through waivers and he'll be moved over here in the next couple days. Hopefully there's a gentleman's agreement in the industry not to interfere in this case.

8/9 Games
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Aug 10, 2013 -> 09:48 AM) Right. I just figure someone has to move up with the Knights outfield empty with Danks, Garcia and Tekotte all up in mlb They moved up Adam Heisler, who is more of an organizational filler type.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Aug 10, 2013 -> 09:41 AM) Is Jacobs going to go to AAA? Doubt it. He's new to AA and the Barons are going to the playoffs.

Adam Dunn cleared waivers
QUOTE (QuickJones81 @ Aug 10, 2013 -> 09:25 AM) They should be buyers in the sense that they will be putting a lot of money into the draft and international signings. If they can nab some top talent that way I will be excited. Free agents are seldom worth the price tag unless you catch lightning in a bottle on someone no one gets too excited about when they sign (like Jermaine Dye). For now keep chasing Houston down. The Sox would have to be 7 games worse than the Astros over the last 48 games to get the first pick. That's not happening. The Sox are getting the 3rd pick next year. Once the Marlins shut down Fernandez, they'll lose more and get the 2nd pick.

Rios, $1M traded to Rangers
QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Aug 9, 2013 -> 08:10 PM) I don't think this newfound payroll flexibility is going to do anything to diminish the team's aversion to pursuing clients of Scott Boras. Hahn talked about Boras today with Bernstein. It's been said before, but the problem really isn't dealing with him...it's the time it takes to sign his players. The Sox usually don't outbid teams, so they don't have time to wait until mid-January and in the process lose out on their next best options too. Makes sense.
