  1. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 3, 2013 -> 10:31 PM) Supposed to be signable, but it seems highly unlikely he falls to them. I still think it will be Gonzalez or Chris Anderson. Yeah, that Gonzalez guy looks like a pretty safe pick, in a good way.
  2. Any word on Trey Ball's signability?
  3. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jun 3, 2013 -> 10:12 PM) Jim Callis ‏@jimcallisBA All-star C ceiling, Pierzynski type. @zwendkos: what is Ciuffo's ceiling? #mlbdraft Expand Sure, why not. Even if he busted, that's what the other 39 rounds are for. Ok, the next 9 rounds.
  4. Brooks should get a promotion going for Thursday around loss number 10. Paper bag night?
  5. Viciedo likes that park.
  6. The total runs scored for this series for both teams could be less than 10.

http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?s...mp;ymd=20130603 Hawkins 1-3, single and no K's. Who is this guy?
  10. De Aza 8, Ramirez 6, Rios 9, Konerko 3, Viciedo 7, Dunn DH, Keppinger 5, Flowers 2, Beckham 4. Dunn 6th is new.
  11. QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Jun 3, 2013 -> 10:30 AM) No HS catchers in the first round, please. They're a gamble, that's for sure. But since Laumann said he doubts there will be a pitcher left at 17 better than Chris Beck or Erik Johnson, I wouldn't mind a gamble pick on high school catcher or pitcher. Actually, as long as it isn't the Stanford guy, I'm not going to think one way or the other about this first round pick.
  12. I'd cut two weeks off the regular season. Shorten the season to 156, for one week off, and schedule 3 doubleheaders per home team (6 total per team). If some small market teams want to have straight doubleheaders as a promotion, great. Otherwise, make them split doubleheaders. They've already made the rule about adding a 26th man for doubleheaders. They should have more of them and get the World Series over with by October 15th-20th.
  13. QUOTE (PolishPrince34 @ Jun 3, 2013 -> 10:02 AM) Editors from Baseball America just did their mock draft. Have the Sox picking HS catcher NICK CIUFFO. Definitely do not see the White Sox picking him. After what Lauman had to say about being happy with the organizational depth in the minors. The panel last night comped Ciuffo to Pierzynski...including the personality.
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 3, 2013 -> 08:27 AM) The video the MLB Network showed of Wilson last night made him look awful. Phillip Ervin is the best of the outfielders they're considering, in my opinion. I watched that and thought the same. They better not take him. Being that I don't follow amateur baseball, I can only go by what they were saying last night. A couple of the high school catchers look interesting, and you can tell John Hart is really high on Alex Gonzalez, the big RHP.
  15. 54-Game Records (Runs Scored- Runs Against): Det 30-24 - (283-215) +68 Cle 29-25 1 (266-245) +21 Min 25-29 5 (237-252) -15 Sox 24-30 6 (186-221) -35 KC 23-31 7 (210-219) -9
  16. At the very least, it's going to be an interesting July once they know it's over.
  17. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 2, 2013 -> 05:38 PM) Wouldn't shock me if Cooper is our next manager He's managing Friday when Ventura is away. Parent is managing Thursday, so he's the next Sox manager. Ha.
  18. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jun 2, 2013 -> 05:36 PM) Yup, all 24 year olds that aren't Mike Trout suck. Yeah, that's exactly it.
  19. Caulfield-- I caught myself and remembered he missed time. Calm down dude. And Viciedo sucks.
  20. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jun 2, 2013 -> 05:24 PM) Dude, I keep catching you in these edits. And this is not directed a you, but people wanted to write off Viciedo coming off a 25 HR season as a 23 year old are crazy to me. Give him some time for Christ sake. One week ago people were sucking his dick around here, now some of those same people want to trade him. Baseball is not supposed to be over-analyzed on a daily basis. I was reminding people of hot he was in May 2012. Other than two weeks last year, he was pretty mediocre. I don't like Viciedo as a player, and I don't think he'll improve that much. I certainly don't think he's a guy you want to plan to be a 3-4-5 hitter on a winning team.
  21. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 2, 2013 -> 05:23 PM) Viciedo is a career. 224 hitter vs RHP and a .356 hitter vs LHP. Bernstein was talking about his swing this week and how he makes no adjustments with his hands, etc. based on where the pitch is. I think he's a garbage player, but that's just me.
  22. Viciedo on pace for a whopping 12 homers and 39 RBIs. (he was injured though)
  23. Beckham didn't play today, so maybe he said he's ready and he'll be activated tomorrow night.
  24. Royals-- Games 1-27: 17-10 Games 28-54: 6-21 That's baseball.
  25. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 2, 2013 -> 04:12 PM) And overall his OPS there is .768. He's had a weird career because of his illness. He's good now. I'm not saying bring him up tomorrow, but if Flowers has a dreadful June and Phegley is still hitting, I'd bounce Flowers.
