  1. Can we just retract the Sox and Cubs, and bring the Rays to Chicago? Solve a lot of problems.
  2. In the last four games, doing the little things could possibly win two more games. Fine line between winning and losing. This organization is a joke.
  3. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 12, 2013 -> 08:06 PM) At least Q dealt with the middle of their order, that's something. And if we lose, we lose quick...which is nice. Could be worse. We could be Twins fans.
  4. QUOTE (Baron @ Apr 12, 2013 -> 08:03 PM) I didnt realize we lost already Just assuming that inning will catch up to us.

Hawkins k's again. Bases loaded, 3-2 count. Caught looking.
  6. And that's how we lose this ball game. Moving on...
  7. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Apr 12, 2013 -> 07:59 PM) I'm still totally lost, as to why you'd want Alexei to bunt, and leave the RBI work up to Gimenez...why?? Gimenez isn't a bad hitter. In a 0-0 in the 8th, yeah bunt, hit to the right side, whatever...get the job done.
  8. I don't mind a bunt attempt in that situation.
  9. Get him over. Get him in.

QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Apr 12, 2013 -> 06:33 PM) I think the Sox believe he will develop quicker if he faces more advanced pitching at A+ and is forced to make adjustments. Cut to 5 years from now, and he's a relief pitcher for Kannapolis. j/k

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 12, 2013 -> 06:25 PM) So you are making a decision using fewer games this year, to say that last year's larger amount of games, was too small of a sample size to make a decision based on? It's my opinion, based on his age and his game, which is power, he should be at low-A. That said, I'll admit I could be wrong. Let's check out his stats in a couple months.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 12, 2013 -> 06:20 PM) The fact that he hit the s*** out of the baseball at High A last year? 5 games plus a few postseason games. He's still 19, and know he's raw. He should be learning the professional game at a lower level.

Hawkins Make that 13/19. I know it's early, but what is it about him that deserved to be in High-A at 19? Bad move by the Sox.

  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 12, 2013 -> 03:43 PM) The reality is that all of our games against the Tigers come in the second half of the season. Unless we bomb the first half of the season, we have a chance in the second half. Yeah, but the Sox can't beat them. It ridiculous to think we'll go better than 8-11 vs the Tigers. Sox have to go 50-38 before playing the Tigers.
  20. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 12, 2013 -> 03:02 PM) The White Sox were 17-21 on May 18th last year. They looked like a mediocre, terrible, .500 team. In fact, it was actually a pretty damn good team that had a pretty terrible collapse over the last 2 weeks of the season that brought them to only 8 games over .500 (Pyth W-L was 88-74). They don't look good right now, but in 2 weeks time, they could look great. It's a long season, and anyone making judgment calls right now is doing the same thing as predicting the entire Bears' season based off of 1 game. I said it before. I'll keep saying it... We need 50 wins by July 8 to have a chance.

  22. Indians rearranged their rotation a little bit with the rain outs. Today--Quintana vs Masterson Saturday-- Sale vs McAllister Sunday-- Peavy vs Myers Monday--Floyd vs Buehrle
  23. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 12, 2013 -> 01:08 AM) Yep, Greinke broke his left collarbone. Should be crazy next week with Padres in LA to face Dodgers I wouldn't put it past LA fans to act like idiots next week. Of course, they'll all be wearing 42 on Monday for the occasion. Just to, you know, class it up.
