  1. QUOTE (floridafan @ Mar 28, 2013 -> 06:19 PM) Grabe was 1-3 today with a double. Took one off the top of a high RF Fence. He also suffered his first strike out of Spring Training. Should be playing again tomorrow as well.He had two balls hit to him today that he cleanly fielded. Very good. Hey, Steve Tolleson is still with the Sox. He may be playing 2B for Charlotte too.
  2. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 28, 2013 -> 05:59 PM) Danny Knobler ‏@DannyKnoblerCBS 3m Johan Santana has a 'probable' re-tear of left shoulder capsule - http://CBSSports.com http://cbsprt.co/10lJZ5Q Alderson: "To my knowledge, the contract is not insured." Mets owe Santana $25.5 mill this year, plus $5.5 mill buyout for 2014. Well, that makes us all feel better about John Danks' future.
  3. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 28, 2013 -> 05:16 PM) Sweet Jesus Monday can't get here fast enough. How is this even a thread? Why wouldn't it be? If you don't have any interest in the topic, don't post. Anyway, here's the tweet I saw... https://twitter.com/craigcalcaterra/status/...374280260276224
  4. That's probably the PTBNL for Cody Puckett.
  5. QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Mar 28, 2013 -> 04:20 PM) Sox fans are being granted asylum from Hawk Harrelson. That would be nice. I'm thinking it'll be something charity related. That seems to be Reinsdorf's focus these days. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
  6. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 28, 2013 -> 04:10 PM) It's not the all star game. I have no idea. We are moving to Tampa. So you just steal jokes off twitter and pass them as your own thoughts... Next semester you'll be quoting Gordon Wood.
  7. Something will be announced at the Cell next Tuesday. Care to speculate?
  8. I'd like to see a bit of a 6-man rotation in April while Danks is away. Maybe Santiago can get a few starts in that 20-day stretch if they don't get rained out. My hope is Sale, Peavy, and Floyd can make 18 starts before the break, and 14 starts after the break.
  9. Cool https://twitter.com/MDGonzales/status/31732...6282625/photo/1
  10. ^ I agree with that. Basically, they need to keep Danks in Arizona until he's throwing at his normal velocity. Then send him to Charlotte until he can throw a quality start. They'll know it when they see it from him. I'm not worried about the Sox rushing him back.
  11. QUOTE (floridafan @ Mar 28, 2013 -> 12:35 PM) Just curious since Grabe is playing 2B with the AAA club yesterday and today. They indicated the AAA 2Baseman was with the Big Club. May be Drew Garcia they were referring to.
  12. QUOTE (floridafan @ Mar 28, 2013 -> 12:20 PM) Is Carlos Sanchez still playing with the Big Club? No. He's going to Charlotte. The team flew to Chicago last night, and he's not one of the minor leaguers they brought for the Milwaukee games.
  13. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 28, 2013 -> 12:12 PM) All I see is the magic red X, but he has been posting pics of the new additions to US Cellular food all day long I know the Sox have to do what they have to do to attract customers, but I find it kinda sad that food has to be a selling point to go to a baseball game. But that's just me.
  14. Interesting Rondon didn't make it. Hopefully the Tigers start off slow again and give away some games with their defense. But with a solid starting staff--Verlander, Scherzer, Fister, Sanchez, Porcello, (Smyly in the wings)---that's tough to beat.
  15. Walk off walk for Tolleson. And now he'll be sent to the minors.
  16. Alexei day-to-day. Right shoulder contusion.
  17. No update on Alexei. I'm going to assume no news is good news.
  18. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 27, 2013 -> 03:46 PM) Careful there - look at his peripherals. He's done well, but having more walks than K's isn't sustainable with a low ERA for long. He's been good keeping the hits at bay though. I'll see your peripherals, and raise you a sample size. The K/BB was good last year for Omo. He seems to know what he's doing out there. I have a feeling Crain will avoid the DL now, but he'll get there eventually and Omogrosso will be the first guy up.
  19. With the way Omogrosso pitched this spring, I kinda want Crain to get lit up here, and go on the DL.
  20. Alexei got hit the shoulder. Left the game. Wonderful.
  21. Tim McCarver leaving Fox after 2013. Bout time.
  22. Santiago will start Friday night in Milwaukee. Floyd and Axelrod will pitch Saturday. It will be interesting to see if they give some starts to Santiago. A 20-day stretch in April without an off day and Danks not ready, I wouldn't mind if they go 6-man during that time and see if Santiago pitches his way into the rotation.
  23. Last one...A .500 Cactus League is on the line today. Huge game. http://baseballpress.com/lineup.php
  24. QUOTE (flavum @ Mar 27, 2013 -> 09:25 AM) So tell me... When does John Danks take the bump for the White Sox for the first time this season? I'll answer my own question...I hope May 3rd, and he's still able to make 27 starts this season.
  25. So tell me... When does John Danks take the bump for the White Sox for the first time this season?
