  1. DeShields broke up Walters bid too.
  2. Heidenreich gave up 2 hits.
  3. Bayne no-hitter thru 1.
  4. Matt Heidenreich hasn't given up a hit thru 5 either.
  5. Blair Walters hasn't given up a hit thru 5. 8 K's.
  6. Doyle with a 7 inning CG. Take away his first start, and his ERA is 2.51 over his last 43 innings, with 11 walks, and 46 K's.
  7. QUOTE (Cali @ May 17, 2012 -> 06:05 PM) I'm hoping this is when the Tank starts his usual tear, after a slow start. Me too, because his bad is baaaaaaaaad.

  9. And Morel saves his ass with a single and two walks today.
  10. Morel threatening to fall below .170 in his next AB. Any chance he's on a plane to Charlotte (Norfolk) tonight? Any?
  11. It would be so White Sox if they lost this game.
  12. Chris Sale is the best Sox starter since McDowell. There, I said it.
  13. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ May 17, 2012 -> 12:26 PM) Odd number on Tue, Wed, Fri, Sat, Sun. Could be any number on Mon/Thur when teams have off days. I think it would be a scheduling nightmare. Interleague series will be M-T-W or T-W-Thurs, and the weekend series will be F-Sa-Su. When I say it can't be two IL series, is it would leave an odd number of league opponents. 1 IL, 7 AL, 7 NL 3 IL, 6 AL, 6 NL 5 IL, 5 AL, 5 NL 7 IL, 4 AL, 4 NL 9 IL, 3 AL, 3 NL 11 IL, 2 AL, 2 NL 13 IL, 1 AL, 1 NL 15 IL What I like about interleague all season is that they can coincide with the AL counterpart. Teams can come to Chicago and play the Cubs and Sox on the same trip if the Sox are on their way out of town, and the Cubs are on their way back in. The Sox can go to Florida and play the Rays and Marlins on the same trip. Or maybe the Rays, and then up to Atlanta. There are some advantages to the new format.
  14. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ May 17, 2012 -> 12:20 PM) Next year the Astros move to the AL. 15 teams in each league would mean one would have to be off everyday. Since no one is gonna have off days on Fri, Sat, Sun because of attendance and such the only solution is to have one or two interleague matchups everday. One or three. Has to be odd. Depending on how many interleague they settle on, I hope everyone plays interleague for a week and half in June, and the rest is one at a time.
  15. QUOTE (Jake @ May 17, 2012 -> 12:17 PM) What? Did I miss something? The Astros are moving to the AL. 15/15 means interleague all year, because you can't do byes all season.
  16. QUOTE (Jake @ May 17, 2012 -> 11:37 AM) Anyone else interested in Viciedo at 3B? If he still takes ground balls there, sure, why not? Maybe Friday and Saturday, then back to LF on Sunday, and sit Dunn against Maholm. Anything to get Morel out of there is fine by me.

  18. Brett Lawrie suspended 4 games. He got off pretty easy.
  19. 2 doubles and a walk for Trayce today.
  20. Winston-Salem- Buch nice start so far thru 4 inn http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?s...myrafa_wswafa_1 Kannapolis- Parrent http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?s...kanafx_gboafx_1
  21. Man, that really sucks. Seemed full of life.
  22. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 16, 2012 -> 09:56 AM) If he sucks, he won't be traded. He will be non-tendered I wouldn't say that's for sure. Could be a lower level minor leaguer just as a token trade, but I guess he could be non-tendered if there's no interest in him from other teams. It's not like he would get anything major in arbitration. Either way, I think it's safe to say this is his last season with the Sox unless he hits the last four months of the season and they think he's turned the corner.
  23. The way I look at Beckham now, just let him finish out the season with the big league club as his last chance with the White Sox. If he turns it around, great. If he doesn't, make a trade. Given his defense, there will probably be a few teams that would want to take a chance with him.
