White Sox vs Indians. 3:10 CST
Thought this would be a 3-2 or lower game. It never seems to turn out like that. Can't lose this game after being up 4-0 and Peavy pitching.

It must be said - Hawk Harrelson has to go
He's got to knock off that A-Bomb crap. It started with Adam Dunn, which I get...his first name starts with an A, and he hits bombs. But, yeah, that's a Michael Kay thing for ARod. Knock it off, Hawk.

White Sox vs Indians. 3:10 CST
QUOTE (oldsox @ May 26, 2012 -> 08:54 AM) I'm surprised attendance has not improved. I'm convinced that if you're coming off multiple bad years, in a northern, open-air park, you're not going to get the attendance until June, no matter how good the team is. It's just not an easy thing for a lot of people to pick up and go to a game on a whim. It's a big time and money commitment that usually is made days or weeks ahead of time. Also, I think what they charge for parking is absurd.

White Sox winner !
QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ May 25, 2012 -> 10:30 PM) Robin says Quintana reminds him of Wilson Alvarez That's what I said the first time I watched him pitch. Similar motion.

White Sox winner !
6-4 in the season series. I'll take it. Let's take these next two, and take some pressure off going to Tampa.

I guess Rays/Red Sox got ugly. BJ Upton got into it with a fan.

2012 Cubs thread
Not to kick a team while they're down, but the Cubs lost their 10th straight by losing 1-0 to the Pirates. Left 11 on base, and went 0-12 with runners in scoring position.

If the Sox win tonight, and the Yankees and Blue Jays lose, the Sox will be in the 2nd wildcard spot with Toronto.

Quintana to start Friday
QUOTE (Jake @ May 24, 2012 -> 04:58 PM) They are probably eager to give him as much rest as possible. I have heard that he's had to cut back on between start work as it is. I guess, but now he'll have to go to KC for the break instead of getting time off.
-
Quintana to start Friday
Wish they would have moved up Peavy to Friday. Get him on track to start two times the week before the AS Game. Plus, why not use him in the first game of a big series, and the last game in Tampa Bay?
-
Quintana to start Friday
He will be going on the DL. Actually, looking forward to seeing Quintana start a couple times.
-
Quintana to start Friday
Shoulder strain. Uh oh.

Addison Reed IS the Sox closer
So you're telling me a clearly easy management decision back in spring training may cost the Sox a playoff spot? Cool.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!
QUOTE (Jake @ May 24, 2012 -> 10:34 AM) PK needs not only an MVP, but likely another ring if not more. Plus I think 500 HR is necessary. Yeah, I think 500 homers would be a starting point for his hall credentials. Add a bunch of AS Games, ALCS MVP, maybe 2 or 3 top-5 MVPs, a model citizen, a team captain. Some of the off the field stuff does matter when it comes to the Hall. But I do think he has to get to 500 homers. He has to hit 102 more for 500 hr in a Sox uniform. Tell me a Yankee that would hit 500 homers as a Yankee without PED stuff, and not make it in.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 24, 2012 -> 09:41 AM) And not only that, but he just keeps getting better. He is a marvel. I hope he stays with the Sox the rest of his career. If he can stick around and stay healthy through 2015, he may be over 500 homers in a Sox uniform, and we may be talking Hall of Fame numbers by then. That would be incredible.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 24, 2012 -> 09:37 AM) f***. 4-hit CG shutout I say he doesn't make it to the 5th inning.

2012 White Sox Catch-All thread
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ May 23, 2012 -> 11:24 PM) We're 1.5 games out of a playoff spot. Unless I'm missing something, mlb.com doesn't even have wildcard standings yet. I guess they're really trying to hammer home the division races. ESPN.com has wildcard standings. http://espn.go.com/mlb/standings/_/type/wild-card Baseball would be better if they just ditched the divisions, stacked all the teams, and had the top teams make the playoffs in the right order. If it's going to be 5 of 15 next year, there's really no need for 3 divisions.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!
This De Vries guy starting tomorrow night has a 6.27 ERA over his last 3 starts in AAA. Humber should be ok tomorrow night.
