  1. Winston-Salem http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?s...wswafa_cmcafa_1 Dude walked 9 and only gave up 1 run.
  2. The week ahead: M: Sale vs Moore T: Humber vs Shields W: Quintana vs Cobb F: King Felix vs Peavy S: Noesi vs Floyd S: Millwood vs Sale Good chance Sox will miss Romero when the Jays come to town. They could be skipping Drabek so Romero faces the Red Sox. Looking at the Cardinals/Dodgers week, it could be some tough pitching Garcia, Wainwright, and Lynn is a possibility, followed by Kershaw.
  3. QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 27, 2012 -> 04:35 PM) Beckham 4-4.. A very welcome sight. I'd like to know if that's his first 4 hit game at home in his career.
  4. Do we really trust the rest of the baseball public to do the right thing?
  5. Thanks for stopping by, Indians. See you in 4 months!
  6. Span with a lead off single in Minny.
  7. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 27, 2012 -> 04:17 PM) That does it. Can never talk about any Tigers game for the rest of the season. Cabrera homer to CF on an 0-2 pitch...Tigers now up by 1. I knew they'd at least tie. Twins blow, and the AL Central could come down to who beats the crap out of them and the Royals the most.
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 26, 2012 -> 06:23 PM) We're not supposed to be outscoring the Tigers, but we currently are. A lot of the "if's" are working out. De Aza, Rios, Dunn, and Viciedo are coming through, and Konerko and AJ are playing above their averages. Peavy had a bad day, but he and Sale are pretty much legit 1-2 starters. The rest of the rotation is hit and miss, and the bullpen seems to be getting in the right order. It's a team that's good enough to compete the rest of the season if they stay healthy. All of the rebuilding year stuff is out the window unless they hit a wall somehow.
  9. Charlotte- Zaleski http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?s...lhvaaa_chraaa_1 Birmingham- Wickswat http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?s...biraax_hunaax_1 Winston-Salem- Arroyo http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?s...wswafa_cmcafa_1 Kannapolis- Lane http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?s...kanafx_wvaafx_1 Other... Frederick- Bundy starting, and he has an ERA now. Travis Shaw (good Bos prospect took him deep) http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?s...salafa_frdafa_1
  10. Thought this would be a 3-2 or lower game. It never seems to turn out like that. Can't lose this game after being up 4-0 and Peavy pitching.
  11. He's got to knock off that A-Bomb crap. It started with Adam Dunn, which I get...his first name starts with an A, and he hits bombs. But, yeah, that's a Michael Kay thing for ARod. Knock it off, Hawk.
  12. QUOTE (oldsox @ May 26, 2012 -> 08:54 AM) I'm surprised attendance has not improved. I'm convinced that if you're coming off multiple bad years, in a northern, open-air park, you're not going to get the attendance until June, no matter how good the team is. It's just not an easy thing for a lot of people to pick up and go to a game on a whim. It's a big time and money commitment that usually is made days or weeks ahead of time. Also, I think what they charge for parking is absurd.
  13. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ May 25, 2012 -> 10:30 PM) Robin says Quintana reminds him of Wilson Alvarez That's what I said the first time I watched him pitch. Similar motion.
  14. 6-4 in the season series. I'll take it. Let's take these next two, and take some pressure off going to Tampa.
  15. I guess Rays/Red Sox got ugly. BJ Upton got into it with a fan.
  16. Not to kick a team while they're down, but the Cubs lost their 10th straight by losing 1-0 to the Pirates. Left 11 on base, and went 0-12 with runners in scoring position.
  17. Just boxes: Charlotte http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?s...lhvaaa_chraaa_1 Birmingham http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?s...biraax_hunaax_1 Winston-Salem http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?s...wswafa_cmcafa_1 Kannapolis- Gm 2 http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?s...kanafx_wvaafx_2
  18. If the Sox win tonight, and the Yankees and Blue Jays lose, the Sox will be in the 2nd wildcard spot with Toronto.
  19. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 24, 2012 -> 08:19 PM) "A Hawthorne Woods Hopper"? Anyone? Free round of golf if he mentions them on the air?
  20. kannapolis box: http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?s...kanafx_wvaafx_1
  21. Mitchell up to 2-hole, 2 hits with a bomb and double.
  22. QUOTE (Jake @ May 24, 2012 -> 04:58 PM) They are probably eager to give him as much rest as possible. I have heard that he's had to cut back on between start work as it is. I guess, but now he'll have to go to KC for the break instead of getting time off.
  23. Wish they would have moved up Peavy to Friday. Get him on track to start two times the week before the AS Game. Plus, why not use him in the first game of a big series, and the last game in Tampa Bay?
  24. He will be going on the DL. Actually, looking forward to seeing Quintana start a couple times.
