  1. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ May 28, 2012 -> 05:16 PM) With the surplus of pitches Sale had today anyway they can push his start back a day so we can get Kershaw/Sale??? I'm just being greedy lol You never know. I'm assuming they'll skip Humber with Thursday/Monday off days coming up. If they don't, it could be Sale vs Kershaw on June 15.
  2. Please hit a gapper Rios.
  3. QUOTE (K-Rock @ May 28, 2012 -> 04:27 PM) Has Adam had a game this year where he didn't strike out? Yes
  4. Hawk voice: I love Memorial Day Sale's.
  5. With Sale and Moore starting, this is a game you remember 20 years later.
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ May 28, 2012 -> 04:07 PM) He'll be going on 5 days rest next start I may have to go to that game Sunday.
  7. I hope Sale wakes up tomorrow feeling ok. This is one you have to worry about a little. What a great game.

Wow, Doyle keeps it up. 7.1 IP, 1 hit, 0 runs, 2 bb, 3 k 2.16 ERA in his last 58.1 innings
  10. That Cardinals/Dodgers week looks scary: Garcia/Peavy Wainwright/Floyd Lynn/Sale Kershaw/Humber Billingsley/Danks That is if Danks is back on June 5. Hopefully the Sox go 9-3 before then, so that week isn't as important to go .500.

http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?p...&pid=458668 Danks' numbers aren't that bad. He still averages a K per game, but so do a lot of guys. OBP over .400. With his glove and probably better speed than Fukudome, he may be worth calling up soon.
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 28, 2012 -> 01:24 PM) De Aza actually worries me a bit long term, because he's a guy who's had serious leg injuries before. He worries me more short term. The Sox can't afford to lose him, and he plays a pretty high octane style in the outfield and on the bases. He's had a lot of painful moments this season already. I'm worried it's going to happen one of these days...a separated shoulder, a jammed finger, something like that.

  14. I put in a vote for him, but I don't expect it to help much. If he doesn't start, oh well. He'll be there, and probably get 2 ABs.
  15. Right now if you're Kenny, you just watch and enjoy. The AL playoff picture will have some texture once interleague play is over on June 24.

Winston-Salem http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?s...wswafa_cmcafa_1 Dude walked 9 and only gave up 1 run.
  18. The week ahead: M: Sale vs Moore T: Humber vs Shields W: Quintana vs Cobb F: King Felix vs Peavy S: Noesi vs Floyd S: Millwood vs Sale Good chance Sox will miss Romero when the Jays come to town. They could be skipping Drabek so Romero faces the Red Sox. Looking at the Cardinals/Dodgers week, it could be some tough pitching Garcia, Wainwright, and Lynn is a possibility, followed by Kershaw.
  19. QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 27, 2012 -> 04:35 PM) Beckham 4-4.. A very welcome sight. I'd like to know if that's his first 4 hit game at home in his career.
  20. Do we really trust the rest of the baseball public to do the right thing?
  21. Thanks for stopping by, Indians. See you in 4 months!
  22. Span with a lead off single in Minny.
  23. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 27, 2012 -> 04:17 PM) That does it. Can never talk about any Tigers game for the rest of the season. Cabrera homer to CF on an 0-2 pitch...Tigers now up by 1. I knew they'd at least tie. Twins blow, and the AL Central could come down to who beats the crap out of them and the Royals the most.
  24. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 26, 2012 -> 06:23 PM) We're not supposed to be outscoring the Tigers, but we currently are. A lot of the "if's" are working out. De Aza, Rios, Dunn, and Viciedo are coming through, and Konerko and AJ are playing above their averages. Peavy had a bad day, but he and Sale are pretty much legit 1-2 starters. The rest of the rotation is hit and miss, and the bullpen seems to be getting in the right order. It's a team that's good enough to compete the rest of the season if they stay healthy. All of the rebuilding year stuff is out the window unless they hit a wall somehow.
