  1. Quintana's player page has a nice video package from yesterday if you missed it. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/team/playe...l='ALL' I mentioned it yesterday, but he reminds me of Wilson Alvarez in his delivery. Very smooth. I hope he gets back up here real soon. Wonder what happened with him and the Yankees org?
  2. Danks will stop the bleeding tomorrow. :eyeroll:
  3. QUOTE (Jake @ May 7, 2012 -> 09:53 PM) What the hell is going on with Thornton? He never used to miss over the plate like this. Jim never had a second cup of coffee.
  4. It's possible Thornton is just getting older. Thank god Kenny gave a reliever in his mid-30s a 4 year deal for a mediocre-to-bad team.
  5. Watch it go 14 innings of painful baseball.
  6. I'll allow Hawk one Don't Stop Now Boys at this time.

7 walks for Petricka. Back where you came from, son. Leyson Septimo is quietly having a good year in AAA. Another lefty arm. Can't have enough.
  8. QUOTE (Marty34 @ May 7, 2012 -> 08:32 PM) What sucks is there was no reason for this game to be a day/night DH. The 2nd game should have started 1/2 hour after the first one ended. For crappy-drawing teams like the Indians, especially in April and May, you'd think they would do that. Good teams, I get why they do day/night. That said, if this was a straight doubleheader, it would have started at 3 or 4 central, and we'd be in the same place anyway.
  9. Rongey is taking some great calls.

QUOTE (Marty34 @ May 7, 2012 -> 08:25 PM) Is it too early to question Molina as a top of the rotation prospect? Absolutely not. He's a back of the rotation starter, at best. I'm not complaining about that trade though. Nothing wrong with getting a guy that's a solid 4th or 5th starter. The problem is Chris Sale could have been a #1, and they're choosing to use him as a reliever because his elbow hurts. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ May 7, 2012 -> 08:16 PM) No, and for the love of Sale, please let them tank now instead of after the deadline (if they're going to fall completely out of it). No more baseball purgatory. I agree. No teases. No hope. Just get it over with. Make trades. And hopefully Kenny moves on after the season.
  12. So if the Sox fall to 13-17 tonight, I pose this question... Will the Sox ever see .500 again this season?
  13. Would a rain delay here force a suspended game? Or would that be it?
  14. Wonder how we won't score here....

Dylan Bundy got 3 more innings for Delmarva. 1 unearned run. 1 hit, 0 walks, 8 k's.
  16. Hawk kinda being a dick to Stults. 6 innings/2 runs? I'll take that all day everyday from a spot starter. f***ing offense is brutal.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 7, 2012 -> 07:45 PM) Hoping this is just a 1 day callup. That would be good. Maybe a good thing he got killed tonight, and send him right back.
  18. Did Hawk just pull a Bill Melton with Quintana?

Without overreacting to one start, Molina should have been in AA for at least 10 starts, if not a full season.
