  1. CSN++ Channel 101 for me.
  2. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 23, 2012 -> 11:36 AM) Just an FYI, but the Sox have been about as good as you can be against Justin Verlander in his career. His 4.13 ERA against us is the 2nd highest of any AL team. I should have predicted this post was coming. He's at another level now. Nobody wants to face him, and it's a good think the Sox won't have to.
  3. Verlander is scheduled for Friday vs NY. That means he'll go the following Wednesday, and the Sox will miss him again. And even further out than that, the Tigers rotation is setup where the Sox will miss him in the 2-game series in the middle of May. Could be 3 times max facing him this season. No rain.
  4. Angels 7 games out. Did not see that coming this quick.
  5. Humber will be presenting the Top 10 list on Letterman tomorrow night. (from Oakland)

Gotta like what's happening with some of the starting pitching--Castro, Quintana, Molina, and Axelrod all could help at some point this season.

Charlotte- Axelrod gem (He'll be up May 7) http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?s...gwiaaa_chraaa_1 Winston-Salem Petricka started, gave up more runs in the 1st, and the game was suspended. Kannapolis and Birmingham shortly
  9. The Mariners AAA team got 1-hit yesterday too. Ouch. Some familiar pitchers there. http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?s...freaaa_tacaaa_1
  10. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Apr 22, 2012 -> 11:44 AM) Danks might very well be the team's 4th best starter right now. I was thinking about that yesterday. I'd take Sale, Peavy, and Humber ahead of him now. Damn, we may have something here.
  11. Oakland series-- Peavy vs Colon Floyd vs Milone (lefty) Sale vs TBD I'm glad Tyson Ross is starting today.
  12. Lillibridge lf, Ramirez ss, Dunn 1b, Konerko dh, AJ c, Rios rf, Fukudome cf, Morel 3b, Beckham 2b
  13. I hope they enjoyed themselves last night, but 9-6 is so much better than 8-7. Especially coming off losing 3 of 4 from Baltimore, this would be a good win to get.
  14. http://twitter.com/#!/dannypudi Cool. coolcool.

Look at Phegley. Great season going. I have a good feeling about Quintana. Can't have enough good lefty pitching.
  16. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Apr 21, 2012 -> 07:15 PM) Have there ever been perfect games so close to each other on the same team? David Wells and David Cone had to be closer. edit: yes http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perfect_game
  17. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Apr 21, 2012 -> 07:16 PM) I'm wondering if this is the most players involved in a second perfect game. Sox lineup on 7/23/09: Podsednik Ramirez Dye Konerko Quentin Beckham Nix Castro Fields Now there's a juggernaut team.
  18. Daniel Hudson is on the DL with a shoulder. :darrinjacksonuhoh:

  21. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 21, 2012 -> 06:52 PM) Might not be as high as one would think with many Red Sox fans disgusted with their team at this point, as well as the manager. Brooks is probably already scrambling. What are they going to, turn around in less than one-week and have a Humber Bobblehead, t-shirt, commemorative "no hit" ball or something similar give-away? Don't think they have enough time. But it would be cool if they could pull it off. Next Sunday is BAT DAY I think. They might be able to put together a perfect game poster pretty quick.
  22. So....next Thursday vs Red Sox. What's the attendance going to be? Brooks is probably already scrambling.
  23. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Apr 21, 2012 -> 06:35 PM) My mind is completely blanking. How did the ALDS end? Ground ball to Iguchi, over to PK. ALCS--Kotchman, grounder to PK WS- grounder over Jenks...well, you know....
  24. QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 21, 2012 -> 06:33 PM) Josh Fields was the 1st baseman for Buehrle's perfecto. I caught it before you posted. A few beverages today.
  25. QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 21, 2012 -> 06:30 PM) Konerko has ended up with the ball in his glove for the last out for the A.L. Pennant, World Series Championship, a No-Hitter, and now a Perfect Game. 2 perfect games... Alexayyyy....yes....yes...yes....yes... -Hawk (it's all about him) edit: I'm an idiot. That was Fields.
