I think it's a shame one of these sorry ass teams from the central will make the playoffs. No team from this division deserves a chance to battle for a world series. The teams that should be there are ny, bos, ms, oak. It's a shame one of those 4 won't make it when any of them would lead the central by about 10 gms right now...

I say we lose 13-3 tomorrow....
-
I hope that you're right. But I refuse to get my hopes up about this kid right now...
-
When Adkins started throwin balls all over the place i just turned the tv off. I just wish for once we could bring a pitcher up and he contribute right away...

Frank has been hot and cold all year. His Hr's will be better than last year. He should atleast match last years rbi totals. But he's in a funk right now. I hope he snaps out of it soon...

If we don't take atleast 2 outta 3 from Texas I might agree with u...
-
I fully expect Cotts to get rocked. I hope he proves me wrong...

I'm in no ways giving up on this season. But losin 3 of 4 to a team that was playin horrible before we got here is no doubt troubling. How r offense is consistently shut down by no name pitchers is beyond me. Scott f***in Shields? U gotta be kiddin me. Oh well. We gotta sweep Texas. I hope Loaiza brings his A game tomorrow night...

We better win tomorrow...Losin 3 outta 4 to the Angels would be PATHETIC
-
Angels r like 5-20 since the all-star break. We're comin into town hot. And of course we lose 2 of the 1st 3. I just can't figure out our problems when it comes to goin out on the West coast...Help me out guys. And don't give me the time zone difference excuse...That one is really lame...

LMAO...This s*** is gettin funny now...

You're right. I coulda did that. I know i'm no expert on Cotts. But the one thing I did know is that he walks a lot of people. And we all know that's the kiss of death in the big leagues. And I didn't wanna see him up during a pennant race anyway. The pressure on this kid has got to be unbelievable right now...
-
I'm not doing any of that. I've got my opinion. And don't act like it's uncommon in here to get criticised in here if u don't agree with certain people...Olderman can back me up on that one...
-
Yeah man...I guess i was just imagining it when he called me an "idiot" and said I know nothing about the game of baseball. If u can't take it don't dish it out...
-
I ain't even gonna comment anymore. I've put up about 7 posts explaning the "f*** neal cotts" thread. I admit it was wrong. But other than that it's me havin my opinion and others not agreeing with it...Simple as that....
-
LOL...Hey man. I know i'm not perfect. I'll admit that was outta line. But questioning my 14 years worth of baseball knowledge just because i'm not on the Neal Cotts bandwagon is just as outta line...

No, he's not going to turn down the chance to start in the big leagues. If they asked me, I'd do it, although I've thrown 3 ineffective innings my whole life. If I were to walk as many guys as he did, I wouldn't expect love just because it was my debut. Let's look at it from another perspective. Suppose this is a hitter making his debut. What if he's 0-4, with 7 LOB. I'd be pissed. I would hope that no one would say it's ok to K with the sacks packed with Sox because it's his first game, or if he rolled two to end the inning. It's the same thing. Based on that post, it is obvious you know little about the game of baseball. Comments like that show how some fans are completely uneducated in how the game works. I'm personally insulted and offended. For reals. What part says I don't know anything about baseball? Sox talk is a really cool website. But i've noticed in here that if u disagree with certain people they go off and start callin people names. I respect all opinions. Doesn't mean I agree. But I can listen to all points of view. For those who can't I say f*** em :fyou Listening to differing points of view is easy if they are backed with logic and maturity. Starting a thread titled f*** Neal Cotts does neither. Nor does assuming a guy is not ready for the big leagues based on one bad outing, especially when you haven't seen it. Make a case for your argument and back it up with fact and I will respect your opinions all day. I'll argue mine right with you, but if you want to go toe-to-toe, be able to state your case. So far, you haven't done any of that. My apologies if you can't see that. Well If u were paying attention I admitted I was a lil harsh with the 'f*** COTTS" Thread. I started this thread to explain myself and obviously u still don't get it. I made last nights comments outta annoyance of all the Neal Cotts ass kissin that was goin on last night. I wanted to talk about somethin else besides Cotts. Mainly Dan Wright... That's my point. All credibility was lost at that point. To futher things, you go on to talk about how you know he is not ready, yet you haven't seen him pitch. It is not possible for you to know that after one outing. So again, make argument with solid reasoning and whether I agree with it or not, I'll have no problem with it. I'm done with this conversation. It has gone on too long and shouldn't have merited the venom I have spewed forth. I hope you can look past my rant calling you an idiot and realize that there is truth to what I said about overreacting. You still have a lot to learn about the game and I shall not apologize for saying that. I'm out..... on to more positive issues Sorry Bob Costas. I'm more than confident with my knowledge about the game of baseball. I think u need to take the Neal Cotts dildo outta your ass....

It's not your opinions that pissed me off, personally. Your opinion that he doesn't belong here, while it can be debated, is fine and dandy. But...saying "f*** NEAL COTTS" - especially in the headline- is rediculous. It's not an opinion or a point of view. It's an attack. It's unfounded. You should have tried: Drop, send down, trade...anything but the "F Bomb." God damn man. How many different ways do I have to say the same thing. For the 4th time. Making the "f*** NEAL COTTS THREAD WAS A LIL HARSH"....But I stand by my opinion that he shouldn't be in the majors RIGHT now. That doesn't mean I think he sucks. Or that he should never pitch again. If he proves me wrong then great. I'll be as happy as anybody else. I am a White Sox fan ya know. Gees....

I did not get hyped AT ALL about him making a start. Personally, I'm ALL ABOUT the Major Leagues. I don't pay attention to any of the minor leagues. I don't read reports that any of you write, nor do I look at the box scores that are posted. I had no clue what Cotts' numbers were. I don't pay attention to Joe Borchard (what's he done) , and never thought anything of Joe Crede until he got here. I also do not pay attention to Jon Rauch (hasn't helped out this team yet). The point I'm trying to make is I don't care about "prospect". I like the White Sox, and couldn't cre less if the Intimidators won their division or took last. The reason for all these guys is that maybe someday they'll help the Chicago White Sox. But until they do so, it doesn't matter. Sorry for ranting, but this is just how I feel. I respect those who do like the minor leagues, because that shows you are very passionate about this organizatioon. Whether you care about the minors or not makes no difference. But to crucify a guy over one outing or as in the example you wrote, a guy goes 0-4 with 7 LOB in his debut you'd get pissed is assinine. Baseball is a long season and players are judged by how they do over the long haul, not how they are in one game. If a guy goes 0-4 you pat him on the back and say "get them tomorrow". If a guy does what Cotts did, you say 'here's the ball, go get em". A guy wouldn't be in that position if he had no earned it. To think with such tunnel vision of getting hyped or pissed about one game or outing shows a lack of knowledge about the game of baseball. Perhaps someday you will get it. Where do u get this "crucify" stuff? I don't recall anybody saying Neal Cotts sucks and should never ever pitch again. The criticism though is fair. He walked 6 guys in less than 3 innings. Luckily Dan Wright came on and bailed him out...

U have your opinion and I have mine. I don't know a whole lot about Cotts. But he was walkin folks in AA. That's all I really need to know right now. Under any other circumstance Cotts would finish the year at AA and get his control worked out. But he's here outta desperation. Anybody with "half a brain" as u like to say would know that...

Hey man. U don't have to agree with a damn thing I said. But callin people names makes u look like the "IDIOT"....
