For the record I didn't call Cotts any names. You're gonna have to leave me outta that one...
-
Maybe that was a lil harsh. But Like I said. It's not that I don't like the guy. But all the ass kissin last night was gettin real annoying. For every 1 mention of Dan Wright and what he did there were 15 mentions of excuses on why Neal Cotts sucked. Here's my exuse...He's not ready...End of story...
-
That's what I'm sayin. Some of these people acted like I insulted their child or something. We're all on the same side for cryin out loud...

I see a lot of u guys r b****in and moanin about my "f*** NEAL COTTS" thread from last night. 1st off let me explain. I have nothing against Neal Cotts. Personally I've never seen him pitch and don't know much of anything about him cept for his monster numbers at AA...But last night shouldn't have been about Neal Cotts. He was horrible. No way around it. Dan Wright is the guy that shoulda been gettin all the love. Every other thread it seems to be Neal Cotts this Neal Cotts that. U would think a White Sox fan of all people would learn not to get too hyped about a stud pitching prospect. I firmly stand by what I said about Cotts having no business being in the big leagues right now. He's here outta desperation. That's all. U could make the excuse he was nervous. And i'm sure he was. But he was walkin people in AA. So why the shock last night is beyond me.

Well it's about time. I still wonder if he's been hurt all along. There's no way he can be THIS bad. Hopefully he can get his s*** straightened out. I'm lookin forward to whoever to seeing who we bring up....
-
The bats were once again BOOMIN. When we swing the bats we're hard to beat. Dan Wright was the REAL STAR of the gm tonight though. He looked good in relief on Saturday against the a's as well...19-6 SINCE THE ALL-STAR BREAK...HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
-
Personally i'm tired of hearing about Cotts. He has no business being in the big leagues right now anyway. Don't get me wrong. He'll be a great pitcher in the future. But he's only up now outta desperation as the Sox r trying to find a capable 5th starter. The real star of tonights gm is Wright. He looked real good out there tonight. A lot more confident then in past starts. He really shut the Angels down after it looked like it was gonna be another highscoring slugfest. His overall future might be as a starter. But as far as 2003 goes he's better off as well as the team as a reliever...

For all of those Loaiza doubters out there

3.5 million would be a bargain -
There's alot of pressure on this kid. I hope he can handle it. I just wanna see him give us a chance to win tomorrow. 6 innings of anything less then 4 runs will do for me...
-
That was one of the easier poll questions in history. Loaiza has been not only the Sox best pitcher, Not only the al's best pitcher. But he's been the best pitcher in baseball...Period...Name anybody and i'll tell u why Loaiza has been better. He could easily be 17-3 or somethin like that. He's lost 2 gms 1-0 this year. Only one BAD start comes to mind when I think of E-lo. One in May where I think he gave up 5 or 6 runs in 3 or 4 innings against the Mariners. But that's been it. He's given us a chance to win every time out....2003 cy young award winner=Estaban Loaiza...

Thanks man...

I totally agree with u. Wunsh is one of the more underrated relievers in all of baseball really. When he's healthy he's a luxury to have in the pen. He can go out and face 1 guy. Go an inning. Or even get some righties out. I love Wunsh...There was a gm last week where he faced like 6 hitters and struck out 4. He looked dominating. I think he could do that all the time...
-
I hope all u guys r right about Cotts. According to most of u folks he's our version of Mark Prior. I know he's put up some really good numbers this year. I personally have never seen him pitch. I'm really lookin forward to seing him tomorrow night. If he's as good as advertised we could have a DEVESTATING starting rotation...

Happy 13th anniversary, Frank!!!

13 f***in years. Where o where has the time gone? Congrads though at the big hurt for 13 great years of service...1st ballot hof in my book.... -
Every series is the biggest series right now, were a half game out, so we have to look at every series as the most important. Go get'em Sox I agree....Every series from this point is huge..
-
I just hope Schoenweis or however u spell his last name is not gonna turn into the left handed Rick White. With Koch suckin we can't afford any more sorry ass relievers...
-
I missed the last 6 innings or so tonight. Fantasy football draft. I was surprised to see Bartolo get roughed up tonight. I heard we had the bases loaded twice and didn't score? Were there 2 outs? Oh well. I wanted to get this gm tonight. I don't know what to expect from Cotts tomorrow. Hopefully he can give us a chance to win...
-
Last night wasn't all his fault. Those 3 runs shoulda never scored in the 1st inning. Other then that he was fine. Lilly was just better...
-
Garland and Wright should be signed long term. I don't care what anaybody says. These 2 will turn out to be 2 of the better pitchers in baseball once they completely figure it out. Garland as a starter and Wright as a reliever....
-
lol...I had totally fogotten about that 19-0 game. I think will take 3 outta 4.
-
LMAO....That's f***in hilarious...

None of us can b**** about the Twins and Royals having easier schedules. We had an easy ass schedule to start the season. And than an easy ass roadtrip to finish the 1st half of the season. We flopped both times. All we can do is take care of business ourselves. Heatherlee posted somethin a few days ago about us havin 17 home gms in Sept compared to 10 road gms. And we've been killers at home this year...We play like we're capable and the division is ours regardless of anything the Twins and Royals do...

I'm f***IN ESTATIC over takin 2 of 3 from a really good A's team. We beat Mulder and guy who's been dominatin fools since he came up. This gives the guys and fans confidence that they can hang with the big boys. I hope we really take it to the Angels. The have been the classic definition of FLUKE this year...
-
I'm all for puttin Frank in the field. I just don't wanna hear anyone b****in when Frank makes dumb ass errors at 1st base. Hopefully he won't make any that costs us a game...
