I favored Jimenez last year. I thought he outplayed Willie. I do not know what you guys think, but I thought that. Where is Willie going to get his chance to play? No 2B (with either Alomar or another signed) and I can't see him considered our starting CF (Rowand, Everett, or another FA). I think he has to show he can hit with a limited amount of playing time, or he is again on the bench.

Problems with your post: 1. There is no way in hell that the White Sox could get Livan Hernandez for only 3 mil a year. He will command at least 6 on the free agent market. 2. Vazquez would save us about 3 mil. But thats because the rumored offer is 3 years at 13 mil a year. Vazquez will probably make $10 mil next year. My own personal opinion is that it is bulls*** that MLB dictates the payroll of the Expos. Get an actual owner for that team already. And until that is done MLB should suck it up and keep that team together. I say we make a run at Vazquez, that is IF we sign Colon. Than again I'm not Kenny Williams and I dont know what the cost of bringing in Colon, Vazquez and a new shortstop would be. If we do end up dealing Konerko for prospects we will have some cap room for Vazquez. . I know I might be dreaming, but imagine a rotation with Loaiza, Colon, Buehrle, and Vazquez in it. I agree with you. I have no problem with two slower guys in the lineup, but I would like to have atleast one or two very fast guys. Lee showed this year he should stay, I would be all for Thomas leaving, and Lee or Everett (assuming we resign him) to DH. We need a true leadoff hitter, I would rather see Alomar in the two hole, if we resign him.

He played SS last year. He was moved to 3B before this season, so yes you are correct that he was the reason they were thinking of trading Mike Lowell. Cause it was brought up ealier that he was moved to 3B when they were going to trade Lowell.

Wasn't Cabrera their third base prospect, and Lowell was going to get traded so they could get him playtime? I don't remember him being a shortstop. By the way, Conine or Lowell will DH, Cabrera will play LF when Conine DH's, and 3B when Lowell DH's. I think it will be Conine DHing.
