I would still rather make the playoffs. I agree with mreye to a point. Granted it would be alot more painful, but it would also be alot more exciting and fun. We all would have celebrated them making the playoffs, then getting out of the division series. I think it is silly for anyone to put the way we went out, who cares if it is a trivia question (which it will not be, they were flat outplayed at the end of the series). Yes, it would be alot more heartbreaking, but better than how we went out.

That is a huge deal. I was watching tv, and on one of the news channels, the host of the 'Mole' was interviewing Carl Lewis about it. Romanowski is done, so that isn't big, but Bonds is. I would really like to know a list of baseball and football players who deal with Balco.

Yankees are going to be very good next year. How much does Bernie Williams have left? I can honestly see the Yanks putting Soriano in CF and Bernie DHing and playing the field everyonce in awhile. I think they will bring in some pen help too. BTW, Pedro will never pitch for the Yankees. Too much bad blood, him and George don't get along.

I do like Woody, he stays pretty consistant. When the Sox were doing well, Mariotti was all over them. Same thing with the Cubs.

I was scared until the final out was recorded. They did have a nice lead in the NLCS and it seemed like everything was falling their way. We had expected the Braves to kill them, but they didn't. I am just glad they are done.

It was brought up IIFC on "Around the Horn" yesterday. It may have been "PTI." That is such a dumb idea. I think it does throw salt into the Cubs wounds, so that is the only good thing about it.

I voted the way the Cubs lost. I would love to see the White Sox do well in the playoffs. The team would earn some respect. Besides, we could rub it into the Cubs fans while we were winning.

That is a true post, but it is different in Chicago, with the two teams. We have our loyalty to part of the city. I think it is harder being a White Sox fan than a Red Sox or Cubs fan. They have been doing well in the playoffs, while we are second billing in our town. The only other team that relates to us right now is really the Mets. They are second billing in their town aswell, but thay have had success not too long ago. I agree fully with his post on fan loyalty though.

It is more than just that. The non-renewable resourses are going fast. The renewable resourses (fish, trees, soil, fresh water) are being taken more than their maximum stustainability yield. It isn't just fishing.

You do need to give them some credit. There was no way of knowing that Karros and Grudz would work out as well as they did. They also beat a tough Braves team which no one thought they would beat. I remember when the Cubs brought Dusty over, how much of a deal was made about it. If it takes the guy winning the WS with how good the team did last year, well no one is going to succeed. They are only going to keep getting better now, they did pick up two young players who have show signs of being good ones. I don't think he is overrated, just he mismanages sometimes.

You got caught in the crossfire Hope there are no hard feelings. No no, that was fun. Ya had me too, I was just trying to keep my head above water for a lil bit there. By the way, I thought we were using the right term of bias. I don't know if you noticed, but I write 'ya' instead of 'you' sometimes too. It is just habit, but I wouldn't think it confuses anyone, I think everyone knew what we meant last night.

Yeah, I bet. My roommate has a tough time having a conversation, leaves his alarm clock blasting in the morning for until I ask him ta shut it off, stays on the computer at night even later than me (imagine that), has this little desk lamp that is right in my eyes at night (I moved to other side of my bed and it still sucks), and he leaves his comp on 24/7 and the damn thing isn't quiet. He is quite messy too, although no big deal cause I shared a room at home too.
