As much as I love all the side characters, I love Homer most of all. He's so damn funny. What was the one line he had when Bart and Milhouse stole the cop car? It was something like; Judge Judy looking-person: "...don't spit on my cupcake and tell me it's frosting." Homer: "What'd she say about cupcakes?" in a mad voice.

I brought that up to a point much earlier in this thread. He did make some huge mistakes. Life is different though. Those people who did it to him are twisted. Tie him up and leave him to freeze, that's just sad.

How can you even say that? I hated learning about this stuff at school (it was mandatory), but it made me think. I understand what's important, and not all this petty stuff. I am disappointed in how you feel. I hope you truely don't mean it. Just because you don't bash gays doesn't make you gay. I don't agree with it either, but I am not going to bash them.

I think ya'd have to give them a name of a girl for ya avatar. CubsSuck1 had a thread in the off-topic board where he was taking requests for sigs and making people them. I asked for one with Dam and he made mine. It looks awesome. I'd try ta find that thread, it was sig requests or something like that. It should still be up.

See the only problem with discussing this is people don't listen to each other. Most of these posts are you-say, I-say. I said homosexuality was not against the Church in my first post. I am only firmilar with Catholicism. I do not know the other religions' stances. Winodj put some good insight on the opposing point of view. About Eminem, he would, as would any of us, have tried to help Matthew Shepherd. That is just human kindness kicking in. What those people did was terrible, and I can't see anyone allowing that to happen if they could do even a thing about it (ie call for help, fight, go get help, etc).

I do agree with the Church's stance on homosexual acts. The Church has many policies in which we sin everyday. It is also allowed that you can disagree with the Church, if you truely, in your hearts of heart, believe in what you are doing. You need to pray for what you are thinking and read Scripture. I, in no way, say that being gay is wrong. The marriage is a big thing. You are right about the procreation being a large part of marriage. That is only one half of marriage. I forget what teh second half is off the top of my head, but it involves becoming one person. The spiritual effects of what it does. If you truely believe in yourself and who you are, I respect you for that. I just truely find same sex marriages wrong, and I feel homosexual organizations do way too much to make sure that everyone knows it.They could be much more subtle and would probably get more accomplished.

Oh man, I know exactly what you're talking about. One of my good friends always did that with his girlfriend. He would come to school worried when she was late. I couldn't believe that he did that. He said it didn't feel the same. That's just a faulty argument. Atleast he was only with one girl. What about the people who get around quite a bit. If I got a girl pregnant and she wanted to keep the baby, I would step up and take the responsibility no question about it. My life would be a ton harder, but I hate the dads who bail on the kid.

Even in Arlington Heights, ya could just go to the court house ask for condoms there somewhere, I never did the court house one. I know they do give them though. At Iowa they have them in the student health center too, I know that for sure. They do the same at my school..Cal State Fullerton, referring to the school heath center. It makes a ton of sense too, I think the ever popular 'pullout' method is insane. College is not like high school. Now, they seem to accept the fact people are going to have sex. In high school, they were big on abstience.

Everyone must be glad God is a forgiving person. You bring up that God is a forgiving person in a thread on homosexuality. I do agree with BMR on the fact that they rather over do they whole Matthew Shepherd thing, and why is one man's life worth more than another. Correct me if I am wrong, but is homosexual acts not against the Catholic religion? All I learned in my Catholic education was that it is. Homosexuality is not wrong, just the acts are. Shepherd had been intending to go perfrom acts. I in no way condone what happen to him, that is a very bad story. But, Shepherd, like all of us, was a sinner. Look at Sodom and Gamorah. I do believe that the extent homosexuality is being taken to now is wrong. I in no way feel same sex marriages should occur. If a person is a homosexual, fine, but do not act on it. I learned about all of the arguments on both side, and I have never understood how a homosexual is born like that. I also hate how people arguing the point always ask 'where you born straight.' I just find that ignorant. If one of my friends came out and told me he or she was a homosexual, it honestly would take a little bit of time to get used to the fact. I know not a single homosexual person, atleast no one who has ever come out.

They would certainly know Joe Borowski though. Wait, I guess not. I have gotten so many IM's and calls about the Cubs it's amazing. All these Cubs fans coming out of the woodwork. It's funny to ask them about the Cubs. All they know is ShamME, Prior, Kid K, and a few other players. They almost always bring up the White Sox and the Cell. I had one girl who didn't know who Ron Santo was, yet she was a lifetime Cubs fan. It just makes me more disappointed the Cubs are doing well... ... :fthecubs
