Haha. Not all players are in it for the money. Look at Andruw Jones a few years ago. How about Craig Biggio playing every position in Houston. Guys do look at how players are treated, you're kidding yourself if you think differently. Big name guys are a little different, but what about guys who aren't superstars? You're only looking at a very small part of baseball.

Also people like Burke who will be making $300,000 or in the neighborhood. There are several cheaper guys we'll have here. Crede, Harris, Uribe, Burke, Davis (should be), Adkins, Cotts, Baj., Borchard, and others. BTW, everyone is going to look into Beltran, you'd be crazy not to.

What about when Frank made $6 million this year? You must show him loyalty. Why would guys want to come here if we just dump one of our best, and easily most recognizable faces? Frank will finish his career here, JMHO.

Nope season, but I needed the recievers anyways. My WRs in week two were Stallworth, Bennett from Tenn, and Johnson from Baltimore. I had Clayton of TB and Stokley from Indianapolis on the bench. Charlie Rogers was my top WR, but he was out for the season so I dropped him. I needed WRs bad.

He is also coming off season-ending surgury...so I question he is going to get too much guarenteed money. PK could also go to a team looking to put it all into a one season run.

Who is lusting over Jay Gibbons? I think he is a guy whom we could take a CHANCE on if the price is right, I am far from lusting over him.

Who would have been better to sign. This is the offseason to sign a SS. We almost got Nomar in the offseason anyways (granted, he probably would have been traded once he got here anyways, but you get my point). Who would have been a huge upgrade over him? Tejada? Nope. Would you have loved Rich Aurillia? Seattle didn't. Carlos Guillen anyone? Not before this season. I don't even remember who else was out there.

I'd take him if he came here as a backup OF and he was acquired for a minimal cost.
