  1. QUOTE (ROC Sox Fan @ May 1, 2009 -> 08:31 PM) No, gameday audio comes with MLB.TV but that's the only part working right now. Ahh, gotcha. The TV feed has been kinda spotty for me tonight. wonder if they have anything to do with each other
  2. QUOTE (kapkomet @ May 1, 2009 -> 08:29 PM) Nice. I am so sick of hearing about this damn flu. All the schools are closed down here now, but I digress. It's the new SARS. I think like 9 people died from the SARS "outbreak." I mean it's just funny because the regular flu kills hundreds of thousands a year, but OMG EVERYBODY PANIC SWINE FLU (p.s. another great opportunity to blame the Mexicans) but I also digress.....
  3. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ May 1, 2009 -> 08:26 PM) where's stoney? He fears a Swine Flu outbreak in Texas.
  4. QUOTE (klaus kinski @ May 1, 2009 -> 08:25 PM) I seem to recall us having a real impressive record in games Podsednik played in during 05 & 06 I seem to recall a stealer pitching staff in 2005.
  5. QUOTE (ROC Sox Fan @ May 1, 2009 -> 08:23 PM) At least The Score audio is working. Explain, are you listening online for free?
  6. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 1, 2009 -> 07:51 PM) About 15 years ago the Sox were in Oakland and they kept showing women in bikinis in the stands. Hawk said to Wimpy, "I'll tell you one thing about this camera crew in Oakland, they're the best beaver shooters in the league". If that was today, "the best I ever saw" would be in there somewhere.
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ May 1, 2009 -> 07:48 PM) What has he done for Fields and Anderson? Up to this point, both of them have severely underachieved in the majors and have huge holes in their swing. IMO BA has looked much more patient and has just looked better at the plate overall. Fields is off to a decent start after being unimpressive last year. All I'm saying it that I think it's stupid to blame Walker when veterans are making stupid ass mistakes. But I'm open as to why you don't like Walker
  8. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 1, 2009 -> 07:43 PM) WOW - f***ING EARTHQUAKE JUST HIT US IN LA! woo baby, that was a good shaker. As weird as this sounds, it would be cool to experience one. The only one I ever "experienced" was the one that hit downstate IL last year around this time, and I was passed out drunk. oooops.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ May 1, 2009 -> 07:36 PM) As long as Greg Walker's not around when the new batch of players join the majors, that's all that matters. Disagree 100%. He's done wonders with a lot of players. I mean, if you want to blame him for certain things, fine, but then you must also give him credit for a lot of players (alexei, fields, Brian Anderson)
  10. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 1, 2009 -> 07:35 PM) I'm downtown. AM radio comes in horribly or I'd be listening to DJ. I'm downstate with no viable radio signal unless I sit in my car for 3 hours. And to echo, 1 hit off Scott Feldman. Bad. Bad. Bad.
  11. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 1, 2009 -> 07:32 PM) I wonder how much they are paying Huff to add absolutely nothing to the broadcast. If I got the Chicago radio signal I would listen to that instead. but alas, listing to music with the game on mute. This is seriously unlistenable.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ May 1, 2009 -> 07:25 PM) Oh please, no one likes a reclamation project more than KW. KW has tried for years to get Jones. It's too bad we didn't have the chance for Cooper to fix him. They have to be fixable first....
  13. when did Tony Gwynn play for the Red Sox? God this is awful
  14. I came here to say the broadcast sucks. Time to mute and listen to music.
  15. I wish Sox fans would forget about Aaron Rowand.
  16. I went to High School with a kid who had a Gary Gaetti jersey (I graduated in 2005 for some perspective) and he actually said Gaetti should be in the hall of fame.
  17. Cleveland didn't pitch much better at home either. Just sayin'.
  18. I kind of agree, and I find myself fading in and out attention wise so far this year. Stone is wonderful, but Hawk is really starting to irritate me sometimes. On a similar note, does anybody wish they would just broadcast a game without announcers but still have the sounds of the game? I would love that, and I know it sounds odd, but you don't need a play by play guy at the game.
