KW will get him.. hopefully won't send too much talent there. Rio's will takeover CF now and 2010, Dye to DH/OF repacement, Pods and Jordan Danks will be in the OF next year too. Thome will be gone. Dye has better AVG, same power, same RBI, younger than Thome plus he can play the field when needed. I just don't like these long 'Cubs' like contracts we're getting with Peavy and Rios but something needs to be done to shake this team up and we're plugging in the pieces that will make this team great... also Contrera's salary and Thome's salary (which will be gone next year) is about same as Peavy/Rio's salary and I think its a good move.

Simple... look at opening day roster and todays roster. Much more talent (minus Jimmy Gobble and missing CQ) Opening day: C- AJ P 1b- Konerko 2b- Getz SS- Ramirez 3b- Fields/Beckham RF- Dye CF- Wise/Anderson LF- Quentin/Pods DH- Thome Bench: Betemit/Nix Lillibridge/Fields Corky/Castro Anderson Buehrle Danks Floyd Colon/Richard Not ready Contreras/ready Contreras Macdougal/Poreda Thorton Dotel Carrasco Linebrink Broadway/Gobble All the Sox could use is a healthy CQ and I think they will have one of the best lineups in baseball and can easily take this division. Team got rid of the pudheads and are finally hitting. Mix in the good young talent, speed, and the great pitching and the easy schedule the next few weeks, I don't think first place is too far away.

Carlos Zambrano doesn't like playing for the Cubs anymore.. he is a long time Sox fan who said he wanted to pitch for the Sox.. how about Clayton Richard/Prospect for Zambrano and cash. I think this makes sense for both clubs in that the White Sox get an ace quality pitcher, who I think will benefit big time with a change of scenery, and the Cubs will free up money, gain prospects for a Peavy deal and will rid them of a player who no longer wants to be there.

sox got swept by jays in 4 last year... also had the same type of losing streak as we are now last season.. then we won the division.

Starting pitching, 3B/SS/RF/CF/C defense is a ?, AJP still can't throw out runners at 2b, Thome, Dye, Konerko are a year older, bullpen is solid, lineup has lots of power and a little speed. Hopefully this team avoids injuries and the starting pitching and defense is solid.

This team has a ton of holes.. they could start off by signing him to solidify the pitching staff.. then CF (leadoff hitter) and SS (our defense is gonna suck ass!!! Would not mind bringing back Cabrera too)
