QUOTE(Steff @ Aug 26, 2005 -> 03:45 PM) Then maybe he shouldn't have said anything about jumping on/off the wagon.. He never says "fans". The media could be what he's talking about. I think the fans have every right to be disappointed in a team, especially when they've been playing as poorly as they have been the last 2 weeks. If you don't care when they lose that doesn't make you a die-hard fan, that's what makes the winning even sweeter. But Paulie does need to learn to watch what he says because it could very easily be taken out of context. He shouldn't even be talking about this anyway considering he's our "big bat" and our hitting is what has failed us during this slump. If Buehrle or Garland had said this I don't think anyone would have a problem with it because they have carried us all year.

Chicago White Sox 2005: The Season
The Bones replied to the People's Champ's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Just get to the playoffs and I'll be happy. If they don't make the playoffs I'll be devastated. Anything beyond that can't be expected because the playoffs are so unpredictable. -
I'll be attending my first game of the year today. Hopefully the storms stay away and I get to see a sox winner.

Christ, DJ and the Pope just reached a new
The Bones replied to Hideaway Lights's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I think if DJ and the Pope had more time together in the booth they would be better. It seems like the Pope is not very comfortable and DJ's always trying to get him to open up and say something. However, nothing beats the Hawkeroo. -

I thought there were a few hilarious moments. Specifically, DJ's "might as well Jump, Jump" and when he said "that just sucks" referring to the Sox being 14-38 in their last 52 games in Anaheim. How soon until Hawk can fly with the team again? -

What a play PK! -
Saw it tonight and as everyone else says it blows away the other 2 prequels. I'm still not sure that it's as good as 4 or 5 but it does do a great job of tying everything together. I also noticed some political undertones but I won't get into those.

I've been listening to quite a lot of stuff recently. Beck-Guero is solid all the way throughout, gotta love the Beastie Boys sample on E-Pro and Jack White on bass on Go It Alone. Weezer-Make Believe is pretty good not as good as Blue or Pinkerton but definitely better than Green and Maladroit. I especially like Perfect Situation, Hold Me, and The Other Way. Ben Folds-Songs For Silverman is pretty good as well. I just picked it up the other day so I haven't had the chance to listen to it much, but I can say Late is my favorite song so far. I've also been listening to a lot of Sleater-Kinney in anticipation of their new album that comes out next week. Also looking forward to the new Coldplay cd.

Don't help him out. -
I believe the attendance will pick up and continue to be steady throughout the summer now that the weather is nice and schools are getting out, especially if the Sox keep playing well and more people climb onto the bandwagon. Which means less threads complaining about attendance. Yay!

devil ray Any of several large rays of the genera Manta and Mobula, in which two ‘horns’ project forwards from the sides of the huge mouth. These flaps of skin guide the plankton, on which the fish feed, into the mouth. The largest of these rays can be 7 m/23 ft across, and weigh 1,000 kg/2,200 lb. They live in warm seas. http://www.tiscali.co.uk/reference/encyclo...n/m0007571.html The More You Know -
