But just for the hell of it I'll continue 'cause I'm bored and have time. Illinois lost Brian Cook, their leader in basically every sense, and Sean Harrington, their 6th man who single-handedly won a few games with his 3-point precision. Oh, and their coach, who was supposed to be there for the long term, up and left for Kansas causing some players, notably Dee Brown, to consider transfering. Dee even admitted that he wouldn't be the same this year without Self. Add this to the fact that Luther Head get and Rich McBride get in trouble of the court and Charlie Villanueva takes back his verbal commitment to Illinois to attend UConn. Deron Williams, who I believe made the All-Big Ten Team misses a few weeks of non-conference games due to injury. After all of this Bruce somehow gets this team to win the first outright conference title for Illinois in 52 years, becomes only the third coach to do so in his first year in Big Ten history, and gets this team to go on its longest winning streak since, I believe, the '89 season, and the longest road winning streak in some time too, can't remember. Carmody did a great job, as did Bo Ryan and Steve Alford who were also mentioned. Hell Carmody did a terrific job taking the cellar dwellar of the Big Ten and getting them to be respectable. But is that all someone needs to do to win Coach of the Year, be respectable? Even in a down year for the conference? It's going to be tough for NU to compete next year because the league will be reloading. I hope that he does but it will be difficult. Right now, I think Carmody overachieved with a team by taking advantage of his chance while the rest of league, minus Wisky, State, and U of I, was down. Call me when Carmody takes this team next year and gets them to contend for a Big Ten title, while losing their star Jitim Young, and gets NU into the tourney and then I'll say he deserves this award. Sorry this was so long. And I know that this award really doesn't mean much in the end cause all that matters is whether or not you win the last game of the year. All I'm saying is... Go Illini! Go Wisconsin! Go State! Go Big Ten! ...after this weekend of course for those last 3.

Sucks to be you.

They'll probably have him try to hook it up in court, but when he tries to plug it in it won't fit.

I can't say I know how you feel cause i don't. I just hope that you and your girlfriend can overcome this because justice could never be served, no matter what the outcome of the trial is, on something so terrible. My thoughts and prayers are with your girlfriend and you and everyone involved, because the offenders are the ones that really need help.

That makes no sense at all. Rauch was even in last year's game.
-
Bruce Weber is the third coach in the history of the conference to win a title outright in his first year and he doesn't get Coach of the Year?! I don't care how much talent he has to work with, they had lost Brian Cook, had only one senior on the team, Jerrance Howard who never plays. How can he not get the award? I'm sure none of this will matter to Bruce if the Illini are cutting down the nets at the end of the tourney. Go Illini!!!

What?! He's on 3 times a day if you include the Comedy Central re-runs. And I just saw on some feuds show on VH1 how Letterman and Leno don't like each other. I never knew this before but I guess Letterman was mad at Leno for stealing his spot with NBC.

Isn't Porzio no longer with the Sox? Any sign of Cotts or Rauch or other notable minor leaguers who have played in the majors?
-
Yeah, I was cheering for SMS too. I don't know why they didn't give it to Merrill Andrews more often. It seemed like everytime they needed a big shot he seemed to come up with it. Oh well, I just thought that SMS would have a better chance at upsetting someone in the tourney.
-
This is true. The Big Ten is hands down a much, much, much tougher conference than the Valley. But the Valley seems to always have one team that makes some noise in the tourney, like SIU in recent years.
-
Who I think will make it: Rauch and Jackson Who I'd like to see: Rauch and Cotts (moving Schoenweis to the pen)
-
Nice sig there cheat.
-
Where did I mention anything about Illinois State? ISU Basketball was terrible this year. But at least they have been in the NCAA Tourney before, unlike NU.
-
Winning the tourney won't do anything. They proved that last year. They'll already have the seeds set by then.
-
No idea on the new one, gonna need a clue. obviously a woman...i think Edit: on second look, it looks kinda like it could be Julia Roberts
-
I'll probably play a few exhibition games for a day or so and get good. Then start up a dynasty with the sox. Edit the minor league players names, if it is easy and fast. Maybe create Shingo if he isn't in the game.
-
definitely, that's gotta be a tennis ball he's tossing in the air

Look forward to see what they can do. Although, I would like to see Carlos in the 2 slot with Konerko after Maggs, if Paulie returns to All-Star form, and Jose in the 6th spot. Like you said too many righties in a row.

A Little late but... OUTRIGHT Big Ten Champs!!!
-
Same with me when I saw Northwestern Rules. Northwestern has never even been to the Big Dance. Bruce Weber and The Bones is in!
-
Happy Birthday AssHat! Go Illini! We need more Illinois fans on here.
-
Yeah, I'm gonna go with Armstrong too.
-
Really? I thought I heard somewhere that if Crede needed a day off Valentin would play 3rd and the SS would be Uribe.
