    Countdown to Release
  4. I don't think they announce it until it gets closer to draft time. and that time works fine for me.
  5. Ishmookie Name: 9 Avatar: 8 Sig: 10...agree w/ ya that Berman is an idiot and the picture is badass
  6. I'm going with my instinct on this one even though I'm probably wrong. My first thought was Cher.
  7. I'm all for moving the draft up. Anytime after 6 or 7 Central time is good with me too. I know we got dbaho who's from australia i don't know how many hours difference that is. And Mathew's in Canada and I'm sure that everything's assbackwards there too. This has to be Soxtalk's most international league.
  8. Um, I believe 17 is legal in Illinois. And even if it ain't I'm only 19, so I don't give a s*** one way or the other.
  9. I'd be up for that. Or you could just take average out and use hits to keep it at ten categories. Also, I think it'd be more fun/challenging if you changed the 3 OF positions to LF, CF, and RF. Oh, and one more suggestion, could you give me the #1 draft pick?
  10. Now that it really is your birthday... Happy Golden Birthday SuperSteve!
  11. Don't count IU out yet. They still got the Big Ten Tourney. And it's in Indianapolis this year. Just saying. I want to see as many Big Ten teams in the tournament as possible. Go Illini!
  12. I'm getting more and more excited each day. This is the year that Aaron and Willie, two of my favorite players, finally get to prove themselves.
  13. I would love to see the bulls get Jaric. I would actually watch more games just to see him play. And I'm with you Jas, that first deal sounds terrible.
  14. Early frontrunner for "Positive Thinking Post of the Year" in the 2004 Soxtalk Awards.
  15. They need to spread some money around before they think about implementing a salary cap.
  16. But, you can't force people to spend money they don't have. Also, that could hurt baseball by not allowing enough flexibility to make moves.
  17. Exactly. A salary cap isn't going to help these teams at the bottom that have no money to spend to begin with.
  18. Like I said before the main problem in baseball is not the Yankees spending over a hundred million dollars more than other teams, the Yanks still will have to play the games just like everyone else, but the main problem is the lack of resources for some teams. Pittsburgh, Milwaukee, etc. have no chance to compete with everyone else because of their lack of resources. That's why I am all for increased revenue sharing.
  19. I think it'll happen whether the Yanks dominate or not. The main problem is not so much the Yanks dominating as it is the teams like Milwaukee, Pittsburgh, etc. constantly having no chance. Meanwhile, in football teams like Carolina and Tampa Bay have been in the Super Bowl the last couple years. Never will I root for the Yankees...never.
  20. Exactly what I was thinking. This accomplishes absolutely nothing. I'd be all about the Fizer to Orlando trade though.
  21. I hope the Yankees turn out to be like the Lakers this year, assuming they don't do anything in the NBA Playoffs. Hopefully a few guys get injured, controversy in the clubhouse(preferebly between A-Rod and Jeter or even Giambi), maybe run-in with the law, struggle to stay atop their division.
  22. Someone please tell me what's the point of trading JYD for McKie. I looked at their stats and bio and I don't think this will be the trade that would turn the Bulls season around or help them in the future. Does it have something to do with money? Is McKie's contract up after this season?
  23. Illinois keeps getting more and more votes. If, and that's a big if, they can beat Wisconsin and Penn State this week they should crack the top 25 and secure an NCAA Tournament bid, barring a major collapse.
