QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 24, 2013 -> 11:56 AM) He IS rising up a bit, but his agent saying he's a stretch 4 and can shoot the jumper but then not showing it is an error IMO. What? He didn't show it? IU fans were saying he had great jumper back in November. He was lighting it up in practice! Sure he never showed anything of a consistent jumpshot in a regular game. They're still sure he's a plus shooter probably. He is rising because he tested well athletically. His arms are still short and he hasn't proven anything against good competition. He'll probably go top 10 because this draft is a joke.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 24, 2013 -> 10:16 AM) Zoom's 2013 NBA Mock Draft version 1.0 Haha, I remember getting into a debate with multiple IU fans about Zeller on here. I said he woudlnt be a top 5 pick in a better draft, but it turns out he won't even be a top 5 pick in really weak draft. Being proven right feels good sometimes.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 24, 2013 -> 09:48 AM) Whatever. I know what I meant. Even if I didn't word it correctly. But George is indeed the better athlete. Lateral quickness is a part of athleticism. A dunk video? Seriously? Is Jacob tucker a better athlete than Scottie pippen too?

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 23, 2013 -> 03:31 PM) Yeah, I've seen it a few times. And it still means nothing. When LeBron blew by George in rapid fashion like he did there's nothing you can do at the point. So you honestly think if Hibbert is there that it makes no difference? Hibbert can block or alter layups.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ May 23, 2013 -> 03:06 PM) 2 seconds is plenty of time for the greatest player in the league to catch the ball, get doubled and pass to an open teammate that has a open shot. It makes more sense to make Lebron drive and step back with a contested jumper than to give a guy like Bosh a wide open 15-18 footer. Again, George had been doing an amazing job the entire 4th quarter. He was outplaying Lebron on both ends of the floor until that last play. And you know George is 6'8" right? He's far from a midget. George Hill is not 6'8. I was talking about the previous play. And sure, it's enough time for him to do that, but will his teammate have enough time to actually set himself and not rush the shot? That's what I was getting at. Making Norris Cole rush a jumpshot might not be the worst thing in the world. E: Zoom cleared it up. Sorry.

They should have thrown a double at Lebron or played a zone or something. If he takes a dribble and passes to the open guy, the shot would still be rushed because how long would a dribble and pass take considering there was only 2 seconds? They just did the worst possible thing and allowed a layup to a guy who shies away from shooting jumpers in clutch situations. They were saying that Lebron didn't score the final 4+ minutes of the 4th and the first 4+ minutes of the overtime. He looked like 2011 vs Dallas Lebron. Unfortunately, Indiana decided to take out hibbert and then one play Lebron gets an ISO against a midget and then the next he gets an uncontested layup.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 23, 2013 -> 09:44 AM) LOL, we'll gladly take Lyle though I think he's bound for the champs. Seriously... Illinois is on his final list too, although I doubt he becomes an Illini. If he doesn't at least I can say "let him be a cancer on some other team". Funny. -
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 23, 2013 -> 08:51 AM) Exactly - no reason not to double team him - Wade was out for Christ's sake. Can't let Norris Cole beat you!
-
QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ May 22, 2013 -> 10:52 PM) not once BUT TWICE Well you have to get hansbrough in the game. The guy has always been known for his athleticism and defense..,. Unreal.

Good call taking Hubert out the game. Impressive. King of the game winning layups.
-
GG Vogel.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 22, 2013 -> 10:33 PM) Wade and Lebron have 5 fouls each. This is crazy town Lebron can't stay in front of Paul George, but yeah, amazing M2M defender....
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 22, 2013 -> 07:43 AM) Yup. Anything that keeps them from getting a person who can put them into playoff contention the next year or two is good for the Bullsl Oladipo can't do that?!?!?! Lol, jk.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 20, 2013 -> 01:56 PM) But it would be an awesome series to watch Only because the Heat wouldn't be a part of the series. There wouldn't be one hall of famer on the court if those teams played.
-
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ May 19, 2013 -> 12:26 PM) I don't get it...we're in 2013 and this is the new improved NBA so I guess Hibbert would have been absolutely dominate back in the day? It's a lost cause. Logic is lost on him.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ May 10, 2013 -> 09:40 PM) Hard to beat the Heat when Cole plays as well as he has. The guy shot like 35% from 3 and made a half a 3 per game. He's 8 for 8 from 3 so far in this series. He's playing out of his mind.
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 10, 2013 -> 04:53 PM) I heard Rose is in. In what? A suit?
-
I'm starting to hope for a GS vs Memphis WCF just because I think those are the two teams with the best chance to beat the heat at this point. Miami would have some problems guarding Thompson and Curry. I hope Memphis ultimately comes out of the West though. Gasol and Randolph could possibly be a huge issue for Miami. Conley could hurt them too (with the way he's playing now).

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 8, 2013 -> 10:53 PM) How is Duncan's old ass still so good? f***in' Spurs won't go away. Come on, you know the answer to this...
-
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 8, 2013 -> 09:32 AM) And I'm going to stop right now because I can see where this is going. Good call
-
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 8, 2013 -> 09:23 AM) I know that. And they never faced a team with equal talent. In the years Jordan was gone, all you needed was one star and a few role players to win/get to the finals. Yeah, none of those teams compared to the 09 Magic or the 07 Cavs.
-
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 8, 2013 -> 09:09 AM) 2005: Duncan/Parker/Manu 2006: Shaq/Wade 2007: Duncan/Parker/Manu 2008: KG/Pierce/Allen 2009: Kobe/Gasol/Bynum/Odom 2010: See 2009 2012: James/Wade/Bosh So as you can see, 2011 was clearly an exception. And even then you had a future DPOY and perennial 6th man of the year candidate to go pair with Dirk. In today's NBA, you need 2 1/2 stars to get anywhere in this league. You didn't need that in the 90's. Uhh, couldn't you just say that 1994 was the exception in the 90s then?
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 8, 2013 -> 08:50 AM) Tyson Chandler certainly qualifies. That's certainly your opinion. He played 27.8 minutes per night. He also averaged 8 points, 9 rebounds, and under 1 block per game in the playoffs that year. I agree that he's a good player (especially valuable because there are no good centers), but he's not great and it can be argued that he's just a role player.
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 8, 2013 -> 08:30 AM) One star can work if you have a very deep and effective team around him, with multiple guys who are borderline all-stars. Put a star player on the Bulls right now and they might be a legitimate threat. That just doesn't sound like the guys around Durant...they're mostly role players. Who were the borderline all stars on that Mavs team? And I agree with your point. Durant doesn't have the pieces on that team. I was just disagreeing with J4L's one star comment and then saying it's not 1994 when the Mavs won it all with one star two years ago.
-
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 8, 2013 -> 12:30 AM) They've been done since Westbrook went down. There's way too much on Durant's plate right now. This isn't 1994. You get nowhere in the long run with one star. Yes, because the 2011 Dallas mavericks never existed. And I'm the one with the agenda.....
