  1. How many WAR is pooping your pants worth because Brett was an all-time great in that department. Just ask him.
  2. QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ May 8, 2014 -> 07:17 AM) Yesterday some Cubs fans sitting behind us kept saying how Sox fans are bandwagoners since 05. LOL Haha. Given the attendance this year, that's an awfully small bandwagon!
  3. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ May 8, 2014 -> 12:49 AM) Because you look like a f***ing clown and are bastardizing the jersey and colors. There are plenty of legit options, pick one of them. But it makes it really easy to spot the idiots, so that's one positive. While you're at it, put your name on the back of it. And order it from China so it looks f***ing awful, too. What about a legit white Hawks jersey with the #17 on the back and SECONDS written as the player name?
  4. QUOTE (Wanne @ May 7, 2014 -> 11:02 PM) I asked this the other day on facebook about just who the eff the Cubs announcers even were. I don't live in Chicago...nor give two s***s about watching them...but GOOD GOD are they awful!!!! They make Bob Brenly exciting. That's the best "America's Team" can actually come up with.....geez us. f***ing horrible.... Yet they are infinitely more enjoyable to listen to than Hawk. Free Mike Huff!!!
  5. 21,075 for a Cubs/Sox game. Your move Brooks Boyer
  6. QUOTE (raBBit @ May 7, 2014 -> 03:22 PM) Is this really your argument? How could you even know? And once someone becomes a chronic pot smoker with disposable income they can smoke with just about anyone. Just because Lincecum looks the part and got pulled over with pot in his car doesn't mean there aren't other players that are right up there with him. I think we need to set up a challenge so the Freak can prove all you haters wrong.
  7. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ May 7, 2014 -> 02:33 PM) Well, with absolutely nothing to play for, Villa has decided to pull a Chelsea and have parked the bus with all 11 men within about 5 feet of the 18 And City finally breaks through. What a nasty, nasty rain.
  8. QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ May 7, 2014 -> 01:42 PM) Are you trolling? You couldn't possibly be this naive. Are you telling me that someone in the league smokes more pot than Lincecum? Please, he will smoke any and every challenger under the table.
  9. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ May 7, 2014 -> 11:34 AM) I think Bernstein puts together some stat line thing for the Cubs broadcast occasionally. He has Kasper on every week so it may be something like that. And Kasper was tweeting with Bernstein about the comparison before yesterday's game, so I'm sure that led to it being shown on the broadcast.
  10. That's a very interesting comparison and it shows that despite all the hoopla, Abreu still has a lot of stuff to work on. Although when you compare their salaries, I don't think you can completely ignore that the Cubs gave up a potential #1 pitcher for Rizzo, while Abreu only cost money, nothing else.
  11. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 7, 2014 -> 10:24 AM) If that were the case you'd see a league-wide decline. So many of those guys get high. None of them are on Tiny Tim's level though.
  12. I think they should have waited a day. I'd rather see Semien in the lineup vs. the lefty Wood.
  13. QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ May 7, 2014 -> 09:12 AM) I wonder what's causing him to suck so much the past 3 years. I imagine that smoking pot everyday would take its toll on a ballplayer eventually.
  14. QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ May 7, 2014 -> 07:58 AM) Maybe more, if you look at pitchers who has such a violent delivery and who also have the thin frame he has, while throwing as hard as he does. The 3 elbow issues he had in the past 3 years are not fluke injuries, they most likely are results of him repeating a highly stressful delivery for 100 times every 5 days. Whatever the outcome this latest injury is, we should take it as a warning sign. It would be miraculous if he avoid any serious elbow injuries over the next 3 years. I hope I am wrong, but I am not liking the chances. Only 17 pitchers threw more innings than him over the past 2 seasons, but yet he's 90% more likely to get injured? I guess he should play the lottery.
  15. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 6, 2014 -> 10:57 PM) I was going to ask if they did anything for Kerry Wood. Obviously nowhere near as good but similarly revered. I also don't think they knew he was retiring. He announced his retirement like the morning of that game at Wrigley.
  16. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ May 6, 2014 -> 10:46 PM) Quick, name the last series they won the first road game. 2010 WCF
  17. Shut out by my guy Ilya Bryzgalov, ugh. That's the 9th consecutive playoff series the Hawks have lost their first road game. Random stat of the night
  18. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 6, 2014 -> 10:23 PM) Tulo thinks he's prime Barry Bonds. It's like Coors Field of the 90s again
  19. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 6, 2014 -> 10:13 PM) Man this game was just not meant to be. Get the next one and come home. Just like round one last year
  20. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 6, 2014 -> 09:16 PM) Holding and holding. This game is hurting my eyes, but expected as much vs Minnesota
  21. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 6, 2014 -> 07:56 PM) He's available to play tonight Defensive replacement for De Aza?
  22. Konerko and Samardzija being friendly? Don't let greg see that pic. NEVER FORGET! !!
  23. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 6, 2014 -> 08:08 PM) Is now a good time to send Leddy a message Q? Didn't Q do the same thing last postseason? He was pretty bad on Sunday.
