No Yan Gomes? Denying us of another All Brazil showdown
-
QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 3, 2014 -> 11:20 PM) Well those two games were awesome. That Bruins comeback sucked. If the Hawks keep rolling, it would be nice to face someone else in the Finals, that's a great team.
-
QUOTE (flavum @ May 4, 2014 -> 10:32 AM) Buehrle might be a hot name at the trade deadline. http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/05/...trade-deadline/ There's no such thing as a bad one-year deal...plus two months and the postseason. Disagree, that's still a bad one year plus two month contract. Especially when his ERA returns to the norm.

Eaton seems like the type of player that will constantly run into small injury issues, maybe its partly due to his 110% go all out playing style.
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 3, 2014 -> 09:03 AM) The final was 5-2, but the Hawks were outplayed for a majority of this game. Just amazing. Power play and Corey Crawford. With some KANERRRRRR sprinkled on top

QUOTE (greg775 @ May 2, 2014 -> 10:27 PM) With all do respect, I hope you are only speaking for yourself. It matters to me. I hate just giving the Cubs a game. It doesn't really matter to most people on both sides of town. That will change in the future, but that's the current state of baseball in the city.

Patrick Kane you are ridiculous
-
QUOTE (fathom @ May 2, 2014 -> 04:39 PM) Nothing like bullpen days against probably your two biggest rivals. Remember when the Cubs series actually mattered? Years ago I would have been pissed that Noesi is starting. Now? Whatever.

QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ May 2, 2014 -> 01:26 PM) These stupid "fans" are probably POS meatheads that the only thing they knew about hockey was that Boston lost and a black guy scored 2 of the opposite teams goals. And they don't know that the black guy's younger brother was drafted by the Bruins and is in the team's minor league system.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 2, 2014 -> 11:07 AM) The Hawks and their advanced stats. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/hockey/blac...ml#.U2PB11ehHQq Very interesting stuff. Maybe the Bickell contract isn't as bad as it seems. Maybe.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 2, 2014 -> 09:38 AM) Jon Heyman @JonHeymanCBS 5m tigers agree to deal with joel hanrahan Good move for them.

The actual competitions on the Challenge were solid this week, but too much b****ing and whining in between
-
Bruins and Habs starting the second round out with a bang, fun game.
-
QUOTE (Brian @ May 1, 2014 -> 07:36 PM) I'm going to be the ass to say that if they were doing this for a Cubs player, we'd be vomiting. Agreed.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 1, 2014 -> 12:29 PM) There was a full page ad in an LA newspaper on Sunday thanking Sterling for his $3 million donation for kidney research to UCLA and stated a research center was going to be named in his honor. UCLA has returned the approximately $500k already given to them by Sterling. They also said at no time was a building going to be named in his honor, and finally said they had nothing to do with the thank you ad. Sterling actually paid for the ad to thank himself. Why the hell are they returning it? If it is for cancer research, who cares where it came from. Keep the money, just don't honor him for it.

QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ May 1, 2014 -> 10:19 AM) Until I fell asleep, Minny looked pretty impressive. Looks like they kept at it while I snoozed. They definitely were the better team last night, but Colorado seemed to just keep being in the right place at the right time. It's pretty impressive though to keep coming back from down 1-0, 2-1, 3-2, and 4-3 on the road in a game 7.
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 1, 2014 -> 09:25 AM) $76 million to be exact. That's better than $168 million
-
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 1, 2014 -> 08:43 AM) Could you imagine a scenario where a Mayor of a major city in the US smoked crack on video, was caught, continued to serve his post, and again was caught smoking crack on video, and merely entered rehab? The sheer ridiculousness of the entire situation is so amusing to me. Nobody has any power to remove him, they just let him do his thing Marion Berry says hello.
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 1, 2014 -> 08:17 AM) No. Next year it gets a whole lot tougher for them. The contracts are just piling up and they're starting to lose people because of it. They're a step back this year still and people might have had a shot at them if there was a competitive team in the division. They're in a lucky place where their competitors are all weak. That won't last forever. Imagine if they weren't able to trade Fielder, they would be in even worse shape.

Get that glove up wife beater! Way to go Wild! Games 1 and 2 in Chicago
-
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 30, 2014 -> 11:16 PM) So...San Jose.... At least Vancouver made it to the Finals once, the Sharks might be worse

Game 7 OVERTIME!!!
-
QUOTE (ptatc @ Apr 30, 2014 -> 10:53 PM) They are more pitchers for one. With added teams and specialists. But they are ahead of lesser talented pitchers. However since they break down more, more pitchers get a chnce. The workhorse pitcher is somewhat eliminted but these are the 4th and 5th starters which didn't exist back then. Have you seen this article? What are your thoughts? http://m.si.com/4130468/overuse-of-young-p...urgery-problem/
