  1. Colon @ Saunders Go get 'em, Bartolo.
  2. Screamin A Smith used to rip him a new one all the time on First Take, or whatever it's called now.
  3. HOLY S***!!! F***ING INSANE!! GIVE ME A HATTY KANER!!!!!! DADADADADADADADADADADADADADADA
  4. It doesn't help that AJ doesn't have a strong arm, but besides Danks and Buehrle (and a bit of Richard), nobody on the team ever gives him a shot at throwing anyone out.
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ May 9, 2009 -> 07:12 PM) Start playing Nix and Betemit over there. Fields just isn't giving the Sox good at bats. I totally agree with your 2nd sentence. I'm just saying I don't want Betemit over there. You do bring up Nix, which could be interesting. These pitchers lately are guys who we should start to get some good swings off of and it isn't happening.
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ May 9, 2009 -> 08:07 PM) Fields is getting overpowered by the 90 mph fastball. It's really awful watching him bat. He needs to take a seat for a while. Yeah, but who's the replacement? Wilson Betemit isn't the answer. Unless Quentin starts to really get hot or Ramirez figures it out, this could be a looong year.
  7. After the Jets got to 9-3 or 9-4 or whatever it was, Mangini became pass happy, which is why Favre went back to vintage Favre with all his TO's. I'm afraid I agree with Mex here.
  8. Hurricanes win again. Up 3-1 now going back to the Boston. With the chance that Pittsburgh/Carolina being the East matchup and that Anaheim could beat Detoilet, this is shaping up to be destiny for the Hawks. First though, they have to take care of the Canucks.
  9. Favre to the Vikings possibility from a Vikings fan perspective...LMAO
  10. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ May 7, 2009 -> 04:09 PM) Going through hell and back because of Brett Favre has NOTHING to do with his abilities on the field. He still had to practice and he was still getting all the snaps. Ryan Grant is NOT as good of a RB as people think he is. And I'm sure Rodgers was just sooooo pissed about having to throw to Driver and Jennings all season. Please, Cutler > Rodgers. And if you're going to use the running game argument, it still doesn't apply, because Denver didn't have one. Isn't that the point? Rodgers had no running game for the first half of the year (like I said) and Denver's OL > Green Bay's OL last year.
  11. I'd take Russell, Chamberlain, MJ, Magic, and Robertson over LeBron.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ May 5, 2009 -> 07:37 PM) Well, that wasn't good by Thome. Should have bunted. I mean, he is so fast and so polished up there bunting so...
  13. I think Mike Jacobs HR is still going...oh wait it just hit on top of my roof.
  14. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ May 5, 2009 -> 07:17 PM) wow is all I can think of to say. One guy is a HOF'er the other may not hit 50 career home run you can not be serious Thank you.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ May 5, 2009 -> 06:08 PM) Alexei's batting .215, I believe. Well, all the more the reason why he should have been up there cutting and slashing.
  16. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ May 5, 2009 -> 06:04 PM) if you're not going to ask guys like Thome, Konerko, Dye to bunt, don't ask alexei to do it either his mindset is along the same as theirs, power power power Alexei is hitting under the mendoza line and then some. Asking him to bunt to help the team shouldn't be asking too much, especially since I'm sure that he's well aware how bad he's been so far this year.
  17. Just bunt the damn thing Alexei. Even if you don't get the sign you're still allowed to bunt.
  18. Cutler's physical ability is superior to just about any QB in the league. He obviously has a cannon, but Rodgers went through hell and back last offseason and still came out and had a great year. Ryan Grant decided to take the first half of last year off and Denver's OL was better then the Packers. Just because I think there's another QB who is better then Cutler doesn't mean I'm not extremely happy to have him.
