  1. Miller Park is outstanding. #2 that I've seen behind PNC. Anybody else going to the Reds series?
  2. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 10:42 PM) Kobe struggled down the stretch o_o Just like Michael Jordan, dude!!!!11
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 09:44 PM) And our schedule is pretty difficult with Dodgers coming up, good pitching in 6 games vs the Cubs, Reds (looks like we'll face Cueto and Harang). I'm so glad I'm going to waste about $100 on gas, $200 on a 2 night hotel stay, and about $130 on tickets to go watch that series.
  4. It must be tough facing Houston and Pittsburgh a combined 32 times a year.
  5. There wouldn't have been that bad call at home on Wise if we wouldn't of scored a whopping 3 runs off Dontrelle f***ing Willis.
  6. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 09:25 PM) Is that last number you put up, a lot for chances. Or maybe we just give him a bit of time. I guess Wieters is a bust as well. Tell the Orioles to back up the truck on him as well. Young hitters dont come up polished. Sorry to piss on your WS 2009 plans. I think it's a damn good idea to throw him in there, actually. However, as a fan, I still want to see the team succeed. And Beckham just isn't really an upgrade right now at 3B offensively. Stick him at 2B and let him platoon with Nix while Fields rots and raises (or lowers) his trade value.
  7. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 10:21 PM) I may be the only one watching, but this has been one hell of a f***ing hockey series. No, you haven't. This has been unreal. To watch Malkin and company skate around that dump of a city on Friday night with a Cup in their hands would be a blessing.
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 09:19 PM) Wow...he had 3 good at bats tonight. It's like some people want him to fail. Why the hell would I want Gordon Beckham to fail? 3 good AB's in what now, 16 chances? Good.
  9. Everyone here wants Dan Haren, and Jake Peavy, and Roy Oswalt. How about a f***ing hitter? Quentin is never going to be 100%, and when he is, it might be too late. Matt Holliday, please.
  10. I was at game 1 in the Scouts Seats and can tell you all that there were about 8-10 scouts.
  11. Keep racking up the K's and we'll keep booing you. Sounds even, yeah?
  12. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 11:54 AM) They can't. No one is going to want Colon and Contreras could have been had for nothing a month ago. Colon has been a surprise, if you ask me. If you would have told me his ERA would be where it is now (this low), I would have taken it and so would everyone here. Ask 100 people what they thought his ERA would be before the year, and I'm guessing 80 of them would have said 5 or higher. Anyways, welcome to the bigs, Aaron.
  13. Seriously, Willis is one of the worst pitchers in baseball. If we can't score 5+ alone just on him, that's plain sad.
  14. QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ Jun 5, 2009 -> 09:29 PM) Oh well. There's always next year. This team is done. OMG!!!1 LET'S ALL QUOTE HIM FOR CALLING IT OVER!!!!11 no? why not?
  15. I hope Joey Votto is out through the June 19-21 series when the Sox play in Cincy. That might be the next series they could win. Luckily, I'll be there. Or is it lucky?
  16. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 5, 2009 -> 08:22 PM) Beckham 0-for-6 ... another ohfer and it's gonna get interesting. Wonder if Sox will decide quickly whether they rushed him or not. He's 0-6 because they didn't give him #6. It's a bad omen...or something...
  17. O/U: in the next 7 games (2 against CLE, 5 against DET), we win 2.5 of them. Also, O/U: Beckham has 3.5 hits in that span.
  18. QUOTE (The Bones @ Jun 5, 2009 -> 04:15 PM) The Hangover is hilarious. Zach Galifianakis f***ing rocks! Agreed. It was pretty funny.
  19. I seriously can't wait. This kid reminds me a lot of Jeter. Bash me all you want, but he's a good contact hitter with some pop, and he gets tons of grief for his defense but Jeter's arm isn't overly strong either.
