Yes. Do you think anyone on the 2005 Sox team did steroids/HGH?

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Mar 5, 2009 -> 03:39 AM) New to football? You would trade Forte and potentially a first day pick for Jay Cutler? QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Mar 5, 2009 -> 06:45 AM) Matt Birk to the Ravens. I wonder who fills his spot on that Vikings O-Line? Alex Mack in round 1, or Eric Wood/Max Unger in round 2? -
US Cellular- biased, but I like it. Wrigley- honestly, it sucks. The food sucks and the people there suck, and quite frankly, the product on the field sucks. Safeco- loved it. They sell Papa Johns at the game. Granted, I got to see Twins/M's which was King Felix vs Santana. Metrodome- hated it. Dark and nothing to it. Even the Yankees didn't excite me. Tropicana- wasn't that bad. I saw the Red Sox there but it wasn't as bad as everyone says it is. PNC- loved it. Saw all 6 games the Sox played there from 2006-2007 and it was great. Miller- liked it. I've seen 3 games there- food is good. Angel Stadium- liked it. The weather was Comerica- liked it. Nice view, nice park structure, and I saw a White Sox winner. Kauffman- solid. I've been there 6 times in the past 2 years, all against the Sox, but last year it was a heat index of 110+ every game. The fans were d***s the 2nd time around, too. I liked the calm atmosphere, though. I saw Griffey's first game with the Sox here. Oakland Coliseum- hated it. No further comment. Also have been to Old Busch and Qualocomm. Will be going to Great American this year for all 3 Sox games.

Here we go again with my hatred of a "franchise, f***ing stud QB" but Forte had a great season this past year. Granted, he was given tons of touches, but that isn't his problem. He racked up 1230+ rushing yards and about 20 yards under 500 on the receiving end. I believe he finished with 11 TD's, too. All this was behind an absolutely pitiful OL. His season last year was better then any of Cutler's so far. If we did trade Forte for Cutler, it would have to be straight up. To give them Forte + a 2nd or a 3rd would be an awful move for the organization. -

Wiz isn't doing much for me lately. If all it took was Skille and him, I'd make the deal. BTW- I love Havlat right now. The biggest extension I'd give him would be 2 years. Let's make him prove that he can stay healthy AND play at a high level. -

Byfuglien/Skille/maybe Johnson for Vermette would be fine with me. I'm not so sure on Barker. He's been playing well lately. -
QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Mar 3, 2009 -> 06:58 PM) Great, no. Very good, yes. Will the Bulls sign a superstar in 2010? Yes. Dwyane Wade is coming home. Will LeBron really go to the Knicks?
-
Yes. Will Michael Crabtree be a great NFL WR?

He had like 25 goals and 30 assists last year- he's also good on faceoffs and young, like someone mentioned. His -11 this year could be because of how the Sens don't score at all. I'd love to bring him in here. I wonder what we'd have to give up? -
Was the 2008 NBA Draft rigged to favor Chicago?
whitesoxbrian replied to rangercal's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
I'm a Bulls fan and I think it was. Same way like when the Cavs got LeBron. LeBron=high school phenom, has played in Ohio his whole career at every level, Cavs in danger of losing team, Cavs win lottery. And you explained the Bulls one. Big market, need an exciting player, lost out on Gasol/KG/Kobe, and he's from Chicago. It's no big deal though. Thank you David. -
F*** no. Will Miami?

No. If the Bears had the #1 pick in the draft and you were Angelo, would you take Crabtree?

QUOTE (rangercal @ Mar 2, 2009 -> 08:27 PM) Why don't you understand that it starts at the QB position in the NFL? Sure we might need a year or two to fill up right pieces around Cutler. Would you rather throw the dice on Orton? What if he never pans out to what we need? Would you rather throw dice in the draft some time? At least we know Cutler is a proven talent. He is 25 years old with a cannon. With someone his caliber we could be more flexible with the playbook. (kind of like when Rex was in his groove 1st half of 06) . Like I said, I understand we need to build around him. You may not like Cutler, but I like him a lot more than Orton or a QB in the Draft. I do understand that it starts at the QB and I do understand he's a proven talent, but what has he done? Sure, his defense was awful, but it didn't help that in the last 3 weeks of the year he threw 2 TD's and 4 INT's. I'd love to get him...but I'm not about to trade our 1st and 3rd this year and a 3rd next year for him. -
QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Mar 2, 2009 -> 08:08 PM) No. The Bears will make a concerted effort to limit his touches and have a solid No. 2 back. Will a Big Ten team make the Final Four? No. UConn, ND, Duke, and Louisville will go. Will USC finally get back to a national championship next year in football??
-
No. Give him 1 more year then see how it's going. I think only 7 losses at this point is better then most Illini fans would have predicted, no? Will Forte have a better year next year then he did this past year (1235+ rushing yards, 475+ receiving yards)?

But you are all missing the point. Cutler had an OL and a WR corps that is better by far then the one we have here. If you think Cutler would come here with our current team and succeed, you're wrong. If we would have signed Houshmandzadeh or traded for Chad Johnson, then I would have said let's try to bring in Cutler. But to trade 3 draft picks in the next 2 years that will all be in the first 2 rounds to get a guy that has no help would be ridiclous. -

QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Mar 2, 2009 -> 04:38 PM) lol, wut? 25 TD's and 20 turnovers isn't very good. But hey, he throws the ball hard so let's trade 80,000 picks for him. BTW- here's my newest mock for the Bears: 1. Michael Oher, OT, Mississippi 2. Kenny Britt, WR, Rutgers 3. Sherrod Martin, FS, Troy 3. Tyronne Green, OG, Auburn 4. Phillip Hunt, DE, Houston 5. Marko Mitchell, WR, Nevada 6. Londen Fryar, CB, Western Michigan 7. David Veikune, DE, Hawaii 7. Russell Allen, OLB, San Diego State -

QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Mar 2, 2009 -> 03:48 PM) Watch both of them play, and reconsider this statement. Orton can't throw the ball nearly as hard nor as accurate as Cutler. Plus Denver basically threw the ball every down last year because they lost all of their RB's Orton had the benefit of defense's having to respect Forte, and that only a few defenses actually respected the bears passing game. If Orton was in Cutler's shoes... he would have had a lot more INT's Yeah, and everytime Orton threw it to anyone except Hester, chances are it was going to be dropped. -

If you get Orton Marshall and Royal, he probably has identical stats to Cutler. -

QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Mar 2, 2009 -> 11:04 AM) With what receivers and o-line? Thank you. Finally someone with a clue. How will he have time to throw here? Who will he throw to? Freaking Devin Hester and Earl Bennett? Rashied Davis? We can all sit here and play the "what if" game, but until we get real OL and real WR's in here, it won't matter if Tom Brady was our QB. I don't think Coles is the answer to all our problems, but not even an effort to get him? Same thing with Bryant Johnson- you think if we would have offered him a 3-9 contract like Detroit did, he'd be playing there next year? I don't. I think the better question is- if Sanchez, Maclin, and Oher are on the board when we pick, who do we pick? If we somehow get Cutler and Maclin and Oher are on the board, who do we pick? -

Cutler will do ridiculously bad here. He's shakey at times with 2 STUD WR's in Denver- how will he come here with Devin Hester, me, and you at WR? I'd rather we kept Orton and traded for someone like Boldin or Chad Johnson, then trade for Cutler and keep our current WR's.
