  1. I've been collecting autographs and all that since I was young, and there have been plenty of jerks and nice guys. Rowand and AJ are near the top in terms of being nice guys as Sox players. Urlacher is a bit stuck up but is a nice guy. I've also met TO and he was cool, as was Peyton Manning. Konerko has always been "iffy" just like Big Hurt. Crede has never really loved the fanfare and neither has Uribe, in my experiences.
  2. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 31, 2009 -> 09:04 AM) I dont understand why anyone would want the black hole of a job that is Kentucky. Add Henry (if he can still go to UK) and Cousins (if he does go) plus Meeks (if he stays) and that black hole suddenly is gone.
  3. I love watching games at the Bell Centre on TV. I've never been there, but that's 1 thing on my "to-do list" before I die.
  4. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 30, 2009 -> 08:55 PM) Henry can't go anywhere, as he's already signed a LOI. Cousins, as you stated, most definitely would probably follow Cal to Kentucky. Isn't NSD still far off? IIRC, I think he can still ask Memphis to let him go.
  5. QUOTE (JuiceCruz16 @ Mar 30, 2009 -> 11:29 AM) I would say Henderson is about 85% in favor of going to the NBA. Seth Curry is a reach, but hey he may be able to be a solid role player. Duke will depend much more on their incoming recruits for next year and the following years verbals as G's replacement. I really hope Henderson stays. Right now, he's explosive and has a solid shot, but his defense needs some work and his shot isn't what I think it can be. If he stays, I like their chances with Scheyer, Henderson, Singler, Thomas, Ma.Plumee/Zoubek as the starters with Mi. Plumlee, Ma.Plumlee/Zoubek, Smith, Kelly, and Williams coming off the bench. If Henderson goes pro, Williams steps in his spot. There's not enough scoring there.
  6. I'll guess that Henry and Cousins will both now go to UK probably and Evans will likely go pro.
  7. Pierzynski has always been the one guy who has signed for fans before games. Last year in KC, he was the only one who did, talking with the fans also. Even Wassermann said "no" for f***s sake.
  8. Huskies over Spartans Heels over Wildcats Huskies over Heels
  9. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Mar 29, 2009 -> 06:15 PM) Hard not to be a huge fan of Blake Griffin. He's the best player in the nation and carries himself as well as possible. He's repeatedly been cheap shotted all year and he's always kept him composure. I can't say I'd blame him if he went to the NBA- his stock couldn't get much higher.
  10. Biggest game of the year and everyone craps down their leg. The brawl was fun but that doesn't get us 2 (or even 1) point or points.
  11. I like this Curry addition. I doubt he'll ever average 20 at Duke like he did this past year as a freshman at Liberty, but given that Henderson doesn't go to the NBA (which he'd be nuts to do), he'll take Henderson's spot in 2 years.
  12. I hope Griffin kills Hansbrough but Davis will be helping. I think OU will lead most of the game but UNC wins it by like 5.
  13. Fields will never hit .310 with an OBP even close to .370 like Ramirez. Sorry.
  14. Scotty Reynolds...ONIONS...DOUBLE ORDER- ONIONS!
  15. What an inning here. Fields walks, Lillibridge and Anderson with back to back bunt singles, Ramirez knocks Fields and Lilli in with a double off the RF wall, then Quentin knocks in Fields and gets Ramirez to 3rd on a rope to CF, and then Thome sac flies Ramirez in and gets Quentin to 2nd. Awesome.
  16. QUOTE (rangercal @ Mar 27, 2009 -> 11:50 PM) your friend accounts for the whole fan base now? Go ask the Browns section of footballsfuture.com and they'll glady tell you, also.
  17. Huge 2 points on a Seabs goal in OT. Automatically get out of the UC Sunday in 4th...
  18. Sox 90-72 Twins 88-74 Indians 87-75 Royals 85-77 Tigers 82-80 Mets over Angels in WS Ichiro hits .380.
  19. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 26, 2009 -> 11:45 PM) Predicting what Duke is going to do in the tourney is becoming too easy of late. Did anybody outside of a Duke fan expect anything less than what we saw tonight? They get exposed every year by physical/athletic teams. Sometimes being a Duke fan is so tough because of this.
  20. QUOTE (rangercal @ Mar 26, 2009 -> 01:54 PM) Cleveland did that series of moves to cut costs. Shaffer is very solid. Chris Williams is a 1st round pick. Clady and Otah did not let the rookie title effect their performance. I have hope for Williams. He didn't suck last year, but he did not play much either. I choose to look at the glass half full. One of my better friends is a Browns fan and he says that Shaffer was terrible last year. His strength was never pass blocking, but it was downright bad last year and his run blocking, which is his strength supposedly, wasn't all that great last year.
  21. Just heard on 780 that a yahoo report says the Bears are interested in Cutler. I can't find it anywhere though. Found it from yahoo Times reports Angelo has made a call to Denver. http://blogs.suntimes.com/bears/2009/03/ro...bears_repo.html
  22. He got a fairly big deal from Cleveland, then his play turns terrible and won't accept a pay cut. For 3 years, I'm not a fan of this signing. Browns fans say he was awful in pass blocking this past year.
