Zambrano would make a medicore AL pitcher, IMO. He wasn't all that good this past year and the AL is obviously greater then the NL. For $91 million, the Cubs can keep him. If he ever were to be traded here, the Cubs would demand Danks or Floyd + maybe Jenks and they can kiss my ass with that.

The whole Brodeur thing was cool. But the Hawks need to wake the f*** up. The Canucks are right on their ass. -

QUOTE (thedoctor @ Mar 17, 2009 -> 08:17 PM) i'd be a happy man if the bears came out of draft day with hakeem nicks on the roster. Same here. If they do that though, then they must go OT, OG, DE, then OT again. -
Mr Angelo, please trade for Jay Cutler!

QUOTE (rangercal @ Mar 17, 2009 -> 06:00 PM) OK , Who wants to bring torches to halas hall? http://bleacherreport.com/articles/140554-...ng-and-2-drafts Cleveland doesn't even have a 3rd round pick, so whoever made this up has no idea. Don't count on this trade going through- BR has no credibility. -

Being a Bears fan and STH as well as an Angelo supporter is just so tough sometimes. He goes into FA with needs at WR, FS, OG, OT, DE, and maybe even QB and gets an OG (Omiyale) who has started 1 game...ever, and Josh Bullocks at FS who has been apart of an awful Saints secondary. He better come out of this draft a winner. BTW- the Times reports that the Bears are holding a private workout with Phil Loadholt (RT, Oklahoma) and Hakeem Nicks (WR, North Carolina). NFL.com reports the Bears, Bucs, Chargers, and some other team are the 4 teams that like Herman Johnson (OG, LSU) the most. -

QUOTE (DBAHO @ Mar 16, 2009 -> 03:47 PM) Detroit will probably definitely offer pick #20. The Bears are going to have to offer their 1st #18, and hope that a QB like Freeman is still on the board then, so that McDaniels can mould his guy. A QB like Cutler probably makes the Bears a playoff team though. Right now, I don't think they are. Or go Sanchez at 12 if he's there (if he's not, go Maualuga or whoever) and then at 18, like you said, take Freeman. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 16, 2009 -> 10:27 AM) Apparently the Bears are one of two teams he favors. Get this s*** done. I think the entire Bears camp would be in awe of a QB with an arm like Cutler's. Apparently, it's them and the Titans. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Mar 16, 2009 -> 11:35 AM) John Clayton was on ESPN radio last night and off the top of his head he thought it would be a 1 and a 3 and then a 2 next year. He also said the Bears might not have high enough picks to get it done. Mortensen said last night that the Bears could be interested. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 16, 2009 -> 11:30 AM) I refuse to even entertain the thought that the Bears would actually pull this deal off. It won't happen. ^^^^^^^^^^^ QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Mar 16, 2009 -> 07:12 AM) After the last meeting between Cutler and McDaniels, Cutler decided he wants nothing to do with the Broncos anymore and has had his agent request a trade. Somebody hold whitesoxbrian back Don't worry- I'm slowly but surely getting on the bandwagon. -
There are 6 guys I'd pay top dollar to watch play: Pujols, Hanley Ramirez, Manny Ramirez, Josh Hamilton, Jose Reyes, and Ichiro. I really hope he didn't juice. I can sit there all day and watch him hit. It's ridiculous.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Mar 15, 2009 -> 04:48 PM) Two losses to Wisconsin, one to Penn State, they lost to Iowa, and barely beat Savannah freakin State. Yes, they beat Duke and UCLA early in the season, but they finished 9-9 in the Big Ten. While they beat Duke, they also lost to them.

QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 15, 2009 -> 05:19 PM) Texas over Duke Wouldn't doubt that, either.

Duke gets to Elite-8 and gets hammered by Pitt. Bank it.

This was the first time all year I went to a game (I've been to about 13) that I've felt like booing the hell outta the team then jumping. -

Just saw on SC that Cutler has put 1 of his 2 Denver homes up for sale. -
QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Mar 14, 2009 -> 08:49 PM) Thank you. I don't think will win, but I'm excited we're in the game. Also, I just decided that I am going to the game! I'm leaving at 7am. I'm a Duke fan so I hope you don't win.

Have you guys seen the Saw series? I saw 1 and 2 last weekend on Sci-Fi so I rented 3 and 4 for this weekend. I watched 3 earlier and I must say I do enjoy the movies, in a non-sedistic way. They aren't scary but more suspensful. The flashbacks and new twists are cool. Just wanted to get your thoughts on the series without spoiling 4-6 for me.

FSU's black jerseys have to be the best in college basketball. Best of luck tomorrow Chimpy.

Duke hits 4 threes on 4 straight possessions (Singler x2, Smith, Scheyer). Yet, it's tied. This is a prime example of why Duke will have another year of into the sweet-16 and right out. The best they could do is the elite-8 IMO.

QUOTE (SoxFan101 @ Mar 13, 2009 -> 11:23 AM) Matt Forte might be the 3rd or 4th best RB in last years draft alone, the fact people are so against trading him with a guy like Cutler available baffles me. Not saying we prob wont get Cutler anyways but if the scenario did happen and the only thing holding it up was Forte...... What tells you he wasn't the best? Nobody is a complete back like him. Nobody can catch it, run with it, and block like Forte can. Johnson isn't an every down guy and neither is McFadden. Ray Rice didn't show me that much last year and while I like Kevin Smith, he is no Forte. -
If Alexei hits 2, who hits 1? Getz and Owens are both question marks.

QUOTE (rangercal @ Mar 12, 2009 -> 01:26 PM) I worry about trading Forte for the following reasons: Excelled in a 1 dimensional offense (ran over the extra guy in the box quite a few times.) Excelled despite a bad Oline. Very good receiver in a league with many 1 dimensional backs. Did it as a rookie. Kept his mouth shut and his slate clean off the field. Was a good blocker. With that said.... QB>RB Added 2. -

I'd give them whatever they want for Ryan Clady and Brandon Marshall. -
QUOTE (lostfan @ Mar 10, 2009 -> 10:03 PM) Well this is a different question if you're talking a position player or a pitcher. But I would take Hanley Ramirez, the only other position player that I'd consider is Albert Pujols. Any player- pitcher or position player.

QUOTE (3E8 @ Mar 10, 2009 -> 08:56 PM) Have you spoke to us about Chapman yet Cubano Looks like a live arm Middle of page 6. Cubano says he's been gunned at 101 sometimes.

If you could add any player to the Sox and give up nothing for him and not pay his contract, who would it be? To me, I'd love Hanley. But to get Santana (if his elbow is healthy which I think it is), we would have such a ridiculous staff.
