What a roller coaster, awesome game to be at. -
QUOTE (santo=dorf @ Mar 24, 2009 -> 09:00 PM) I'm thinking about heading there for the August Series between the Sox and the Mariners I see the Sox play atleast 1 road series a year but due to the down economy I chose Cincy over Seattle. Saves me airfare money.

I've been there twice and it's a cool city. Go on the port, not sure what it's called, but there's tons of little shops and restaurants. The Space Needle is cool where you can take tons of good pictures. I went on a ferry too across the skyline which was neat. Not sure what the ferry is called but I know they have those Duck rides that they have in Chicago where you go on land and on ocean. I don't know how long you'll be there, if it's just for May 29-31, but June 1 the Mariners have a home game. It's a very nice stadium, been there once, saw Twins/M's. Then again, it could have been nicer for me since I saw Santana vs Hernandez.

No knees or head? So now it's like a f***ing strikezone trying to hit a QB. What BS. -

At the time, I would have preferred Mark Streit over Campbell. He was much cheaper and is now playing better. He isn't as good on the offensive end but he sure as hell is better defensively. -

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Mar 23, 2009 -> 04:52 PM) Bills open the season against the Pats on Monday Night Football. TO signing is bad, AS IF In Buffalo or NE? Bears open in Green Bay. I love this. They get no in-game practice with their new 3-4 defense and I think the Bears can exploit that. -

I looked at that but then I saw that comment that says that the Bulls don't have a 2nd. That is why I asked. -

So the Bulls have 2 first round picks. Do they have any 2nd rounders? -
"We're up 3-2 in the series with Wood and Prior going the next 2. There's no way Florida can knock us off. We're going to the World Series and we'll win the Series 2-0...or are there 3 games in that? Well whatever, either way, we'll be holding the trophy in no time. MWHAHAHAHAH". Yeah.

Sharp gets 2 goals and an assist in his 1st game back. That was an awesome game to be at. Havlat gets 2 goals and Keith gets 3 assists, which is 5 in 2 games. With San Jose, New Jersey, and Vancouver coming to town, we need to take 3 or 4 of those points. -
For a 17 game winner and a 3.8 ERA, this comes cheap IMO. I think we'll see a Danks extension mid-season, probably around 4 years, $28 million.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 22, 2009 -> 01:08 AM) Now relay that message to your boy Pete Carroll. Wouldn't you be pissed if you had a chance to win it all if your non-ready NFL QB stayed?

HOLY F*CKBALLS BASEBALL!! LET'S GO GO GO WHITE SOX!
whitesoxbrian replied to Steve9347's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I think the Sox have another good chance. I love our 1-3 in the rotation and our love our 3-7 in the order since I think PK is going to have a great comeback year. Nobody gave us a shot in 2005 or last year and we won 12 playoff games in those 2 years combined. -
Good Lord... (Stephen Strasburg)

Is he like the second coming of Joba minus 20 pounds? Sure sounds like it. -
QUOTE (BearSox @ Mar 21, 2009 -> 09:55 PM) Hopefully... 1. Getz, 2B (he's gonna have to be a full time starter, vs. lefty and righty. I'll be pissed if we see Ozzie do a dumbass thing and bat BA or Fields leadoff vs. lefties) 2. Ramirez, SS (Ozzie better not make us go through another year with Pierzynski in the 2 hole) 3. Quentin, LF 4. Dye, RF 5. Thome, DH 6. Konerko, 1B 7. Pierzynski, C 8. Fields, 3B 9. Anderson, CF I'm not expecting much out of Getz his rookie year, but I know he's a hell of a lot better than either Wise or Owens. Not bad. I was going to either put AJ or Alexei in the 2 hole but I stuck with AJ, just going with what I think Oz will do, not what I'd prefer.

QUOTE (JPN366 @ Mar 21, 2009 -> 08:44 PM) Success! Look at that, the White Sox can actually develop more than one position player starter in a decade. I think you guys can reasonably expect Ryan Theriot-like numbers out of Getzy. In his 2nd full year last year for Theriot, he hit .307 with a .387 OBP with 22 SB. I would cream if we could get that out of Getz next year, if this year is a full time year. BTW- in Theriot's first full year in 2007, he hit .266 with a .330 OBP including 28 SB. That wouldn't be bad at all from Getz this year.

I know stranger things have happened, but do we really have a chance against Cleveland anyways? F*** caring if we make the playoffs and go bank on Stern rigging the lottery again in our favor again -
What a play by Scheyer to loft it down court behind his back in the remaining seconds. I love the way they're playing but history and my opinion says that Villanova is going to kick our ass.

Mullens isn't NBA ready, but he can do whatever he wants.

QUOTE (Felix @ Mar 21, 2009 -> 12:35 AM) I left my apartment at 8:40 this morning and just got back at 12:35. A good 14 hour day of work at the HHH.. at least I got to see bits and pieces of some good games (KU/NDSU was good as predicted, USC/BC was also pretty entertaining). What do you do there?

QUOTE (bulokis @ Mar 18, 2009 -> 08:43 PM) Vermette would have look great in a hawks uni, too bad we could not get him. Campbell and Huet, expensive and worthless. Good point on Vermette. He's been tearing it up since his departure from Ottawa. Huet is such a piece of crap. That goal he gave up to Nash made me gag. -
He could hit 10 less HR for all I care as long as his BA stays up.

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Mar 18, 2009 -> 05:33 AM) How did Salmons slip under the radar so long? That guy can fill it up, and he is pretty efficient He's Ben Gordon + 6 inches. Therefore, he plays better defense and can get more rebounds.
