  1. QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Feb 8, 2009 -> 02:03 PM) Please stop blaming the refs! Illanoy should be killing Purdue without Hummel. I would salivate having KU v Illanoy as a 4/5 matchup. Yet it's okay to blame the refs when Duke wins a game at home, right?
  2. QUOTE (4 points @ Feb 8, 2009 -> 05:21 AM) Here is something interesting, this guy my brother knows is a friend of Mayhews in Detroit, he thinks the Lions will draft DJ Raji with the 1st pick. Could be a weird and interesting 1st round. His name is BJ Raji, but alright. I doubt that will happen. The Ford's love money and so they'll go with the guy who will sell the jerseys- Matt Stafford.
  3. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 8, 2009 -> 12:32 PM) Remember when Paulus was a frosh and people were proclaiming him the next Bobby Hurley? He has regressed big time and I love it. Yeah, he's pretty bad now. Remember when Danny Green dunked on him? I think it was last year in Cameron, but it could have been the year before last.
  4. 3-0 Canucks at the end of 1. An awful period for the Hawks D-men and Huet.
  5. Brian- you think that was bad? He got posterized big time @ Clemson.
  6. So it'd probably be Noah, Thomas, Hinrich, and our 1st either next year or the year after.
  7. If the Bulls get Stoudemire, do they immediately give him an extension?
  8. QUOTE (smalls2598 @ Feb 6, 2009 -> 10:23 AM) Ah yes, i did misread retro1983hat's post. However, this does mark the 4th straight year the Sox play Pitt. It would be nice to start a new trend where the Sox play in Miller Park for a few years in a row. That's what I was getting at. While we did play in Pittsburgh in 2006 and 2007, we didn't play there last year and we won't this year.
  9. When will Kaner learn that high sticks aren't in the best interest of the Hawks? Holy s***, he does this every game now. Nonetheless, 3-2 Hawks after 2. I love when Burish scores. And the Hawks win 5-2. When Walker gets 2 helpers, and Fraser, Burish, and Brouwer score, you should win.
  10. QUOTE (retro1983hat @ Feb 5, 2009 -> 10:37 PM) Milwaukee has put Opening Day, Cubs series and the Sox series in a lottery. I feel like I have been waiting forever for them to get back to Milwaukee. Stupid uneven leagues. We play in Pittsburgh every damn year. We didn't last year and we don't this upcoming year.
  11. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Feb 4, 2009 -> 10:50 PM) Robiskie is a middle round pick with #2 receiver upside at the absolute best. He's just not fast enough to be an absolute stud. Solid possession receiver at his best. Iglesias also seems like a prototypical slot receiver to me too. Speed is overrated as a WR. Fitzgerald ran a 4.63 at the combine when he was drafted, and Boldin isn't ridiculously fast, either. We don't need an absolute stud WR. We need a guy who can be a big enough threat that he'd take some coverage to the middle of the field and leave Hester 1 on 1 to the outside. At the same time, when there's double coverage on him, we need that possession guy to be able to catch, and Robiskie has good hands. I'd probably prefer Nicks or Britt, but I wouldn't mind Heyward-Bey or Robiskie. I don't really want Gibson- he reminds me of Earl Bennett.
  12. I think I'm going to see 1 game in Boston, all 3 in Cincy, and maybe 1 or 2 in Milwaukee. I get home games for free so whatever.
  13. IMO Abreu makes us the favorite in the ALC. His OBP is 30 points higher then Dye's, he had a better AVG by a few points, he had 100 RBI unlike Dye, and I'm going to guess he had more SB's. Abreu would probably be our #2 hitter, no?
  14. Maclin will be long gone by 18. He's going to have an unreal combine which will make dopey owners like Al Davis drool over him. I wouldn't mind Michael Clayton as a FA WR. Huge rookie year but has been inconsistent since. Ask a Bucs fan and they'll tell you he just needs a change of scenery.
  15. And I forgot Wazzu's Brandon Gibson and Penn State's Derrick Williams.
  16. QUOTE (knightni @ Jan 13, 2009 -> 11:22 AM) WSB, what were you wanting? Forte's run vs the Colts on Opening Night.
  17. This is actually a great WR class if you ask me: Crabtree, Britt, Nicks, Robiskie, Iglesias, and Heyward-Bey.
  18. Duke looks like major ass right now. Martynas Potius or whatever the f*** is taking 3's from the corner that are hitting nothing but the side of the backboard. Like I said, athletic teams will give the Devils fits. Count on another 2 win and out tourny from Duke this year..
  19. Carroll, Jeffery, and Burfict are all expected to go elsewhere rather then their verbal committments to USC, per rivals.com.
  20. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Feb 4, 2009 -> 12:55 AM) Burfict switched to ASU earlier today. Not quite. ASU is making a serious push for him but he hasn't "switched" to them yet.
  21. I doubt they Angels would do Weaver for Dye straight up, but I'd definitley love it for us. Sure, his ERA has risen considerably since 2006, but he's a young arm that Coop could fix up, similar to Bailey.
  22. I hope the Trojans can land Te'O tomorrow. He's now down to USC, UCLA, and Utah, but I am kind of concerned about a Mormon trip that he wants to take in 2-3 years. Yet, I'm sure at that time a player behind him on the depth chart could fill in. Also, I hope Burfict sticks with USC. I have an odd feeling he could change his mind.
