  1. Gotta give Gee some credit here. Great location and that last pitch to Avila was pretty nasty. It started at Avila and broke back.
  2. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 20, 2016 -> 08:02 PM) Lawrie has been tanking badly in May. Gordon Beckham-esque.
  3. QUOTE (Lip Man 1 @ May 20, 2016 -> 05:18 PM) Just FYI Sports Illustrated has a story on Chris Sale in this week's edition. It starts on page 32 by Ben Reiter titled "Sale's Force." Mark Like the tech company? lol
  4. Saladino haters are being silenced right now. He pretty much set the tempo for this game by making that first play on Escobar.
  5. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ May 20, 2016 -> 02:32 PM) Eaton Abreu Frazier Cabrera Lawrie Garcia Avila Jackson Saladino This is a different lineup. I like it and we'll see how it goes tonight. At least Robin realized our 2 hitters sucked. I actually like the idea of Melky in the 3 spot better. Frazier's better suited to hit cleanup.
  6. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 20, 2016 -> 01:58 AM) Lexi has no homers at this late juncture for the Padres. 14 RBI. I have no idea what his defense has been like. Sounds like he's not producing squat. He's somehow worse than Rollins. Good thing we didn't re-sign him, no matter how cheap he was.
  7. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 20, 2016 -> 05:23 AM) #WeAreGood #SaleIsReallyFkinGood We're not that good right now. Sale is though.
  8. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 19, 2016 -> 11:27 PM) http://www.basketball-reference.com/playof...-vs-pacers.html At least some of those were close.
  9. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ May 19, 2016 -> 08:08 PM) He's Hawk with out the math skills. At least Hawk can do basic math.
  10. QUOTE (StrykerSox @ May 19, 2016 -> 10:40 PM) I live about six miles from the BP at Arlington. It's an awesome park. Don't know why they'd replace it so soon. I'm not a huge fan. Never been there or anything, I just don't like how poorly the Sox play there. So it's associated with bad memories.
  11. QUOTE (Tony @ May 19, 2016 -> 09:30 PM) This may be the worst ECF ever. Somehow worse than the one last year. At least the Hawks were in some of the games.
  12. The best part about Chris this year is that when he pitches, you feel like he's in total control of the game. Like he's just pulling strings in the background to make things happen. In the past, he was more "dominant" per say since he struck more hitters out, but he also had a tendency to get a little erratic at times. That really hasn't happened that much this year.
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ May 19, 2016 -> 09:38 PM) He's had better stuff before but his command was perfect tonight For real. He mixed in his changeup really effectively today, which is something I didn't see as much so far this year.
  14. QUOTE (bmags @ May 19, 2016 -> 09:23 PM) Can't tell you how nervewrecking it was looking at gameday when it said that last batter had strike 3 but then didn't say the game ended for 5 more minutes. I've had Gameday tell me In Play (outs) when it was actually In Play (no outs). I was heavily disappointed.
  15. Gotta love it when Chris Sale basically wins games by himself.
  16. Yeah Chris Sale is your 2016 AL Cy Young.
  17. Feldman on to pitch. We really need to light him up.
  18. Top of the order coming up in the 8th for us and the Astros in the 9th. Need another run offense.
  19. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ May 19, 2016 -> 09:03 PM) That wasn't even a bad pitch. Gattis just golfed it out.
  20. Thank god for the insurance run.
  21. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 19, 2016 -> 09:01 PM) Looks like Jerry Sands has silenced his critics for another week. As long as you keep him out of the outfield, he can be dangerous...to the other team. Keep him from playing any defense. He's bad at first too.
  22. QUOTE (fathom @ May 19, 2016 -> 09:00 PM) Both runs do to the steal. We picked good pitches to steal on. It's not even because Gattis isn't a great catcher.
  23. There's your lead Chris. It's not much, but it's all we got. lol
  24. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ May 19, 2016 -> 08:58 PM) Runners at the corners, one out, and the biggest double play threat in the lineup at the plate Why is McHugh still in? You need to bring in Sipp for Avila. lol too late.
  25. Jimmy looked like he was running in sand. Very few runners score there though.
