  1. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jun 7, 2015 -> 10:24 PM) It felt like it took everything for Cavs to get that win. That being said, Curry won't be absolute s*** from the field every game. Refs tried to screw the cavs it seemed. God that was awesome. It's so good to see LeBron get screwed by officiating.
  2. Curry was absolutely awful. I don't know if that was Dellavedova or he just had an off-night.
  3. QUOTE (danman31 @ Jun 6, 2015 -> 02:32 PM) Champions League final on now. Barca with a wonderful team goal in the 4th minute. They are so fun to watch. Juventus did well for themselves. Barcelona's front 3 is just too good though.
  4. Team USA just beat the Neatherlands in a friendly, where we scored 2 goals in the last few minutes of the game to win 4-3. Crazy. The Dutch had their full team minus Robben too while the US were missing Dempsey along with Gonzalez and Besler.
  5. I wonder if he tore anything. The way he limped in the tunnel looked pretty bad.
  6. Good to see Rodon pitch well again. Offense sucks though. Ugh.
  7. I thought the Cavs were going to lose in 6 with Kyrie. Without Kyrie, it could be a damn sweep. Cavs had absolutely nothing the last 6 minutes of the game. If it wasn't for Kyrie's block on Steph, there wouldn't have been an OT.
  8. Looks like it might be LeBron vs. an entire team again. Kyrie's injury didn't look good.
  9. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jun 4, 2015 -> 02:46 PM) No, "virus" is NOT a catch all word when it comes to computers. It's a specific word used to describe a specific type of malicious computer program. Unfortunately, it is for a lot of people. I know I've heard a lot of people say Macs don't get viruses.
  10. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jun 4, 2015 -> 02:43 PM) Anything is possible, but with UNIX, it's more unlikely. The reason Windows got viruses was because pretty much every user had escalated root privileges over the system, making it easy for malicious programs to run themselves and do whatever they wanted. With OSX, even as an admin, you need to escalate privileges to root for certain tasks. The word virus, when it comes to computers is also misused quite often. A virus isn't malware, it's not a trojan, etc...if it requires user intervention, it's not a virus. A virus is code that can run itself, WITHOUT asking the user for permission to do so. Does that mean you can't run a program that asks an Apple user for permission to do something? No. But that's also not a virus.
  11. QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 4, 2015 -> 10:46 AM) I watched every sat./sunday morning EPL game this year and last but still haven't found myself with a team. It's not easy to really root for a team when you have no real connection to them. I like Barcelona, but they're nowhere close to my level of fandom for the Sox, Bulls, and Bears. If they win the Champions League, great. If they lose, it's not the end of the world. I feel like I can enjoy club football way more than any other sport due to my lack of a true fandom to any team. I can pretty much just watch any game without any real bias or hatred for certain teams/players.
  12. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Jun 3, 2015 -> 11:09 PM) So just for a bit of background here, does everyone who posts in this thread have a favorite English Premier League team they go for (or at least in Europe)? To kick it off, I'm a West Ham supporter (East London team), and have been from about 2000 onwards. They move into the Olympic Stadium in about 15 months from now, and are looking to break into the top 4 eventually (easier said than done). I really don't support any team in England, but if I had to list them I'd go: 1. Man City 2. Tottenham 3. ... 4. Arsenal My favorite European team is Barcelona. And West Ham has quite a ways to go before they get top 4. It's hard to go from mid-table to top 4 in the BPL. There's so many good teams in between those spots.
  13. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jun 2, 2015 -> 01:46 PM) User Actions Following Doug McIntyre ‏@DougMacESPN Via @ABC, FBI sources on investigation into FIFA scandal: FBI Sources: "Now that people are going to want to save themselves, there's probably a race to see who will flip (on Blatter) first. We may not be able to collapse the whole organization but maybe you don't need to" I don't know how Blatter didn't see that happening 4 days ago.
  14. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jun 2, 2015 -> 11:48 AM) Sepp Blatter is resigning!!! I wonder what really happened. Were the sponsors threatening to pull out? Did FIFA officials find out that Blatter is going to get charged in the future? Was it Blatter's plan all along to resign after he won the election so that Ali wouldn't win it?
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 2, 2015 -> 12:16 PM) John's going to be having a good celebration next week Drink that Bud Light Lime John Oliver!
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 1, 2015 -> 11:14 AM) And the big thing that I have learned is that the AL Central may well be the best division in baseball. I don't expect the Twins to be this good for too much longer. The Sox are extremely fortunate not to be 20-30 or something like that. We've out-performed our base-runs expected W-L by 5 wins so far. If you look at how poorly we've hit, a record of 18-31 is almost fitting (that's our expected BaseRuns W-L). There's two things that can happen. One is our hitters like Melky and Eaton stop hitting like crap and our offense turns it around. Or those hitters continue to underperform and we play awful baseball for the rest of the year.
  17. We're a game over .500 since that 0-4 start. With how bad we've hit, that's actually not too bad.
  18. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 29, 2015 -> 02:58 PM) Chris Cotillo ‏@ChrisCotillo 59s59 seconds ago #Astros looking at rotation upgrades, with Aaron Harang and Johnny Cueto as possibilities: http://sbnation.com/e/8453046?utm_campaign..._source=twitter … I'm surprised Harang's still hanging on these past few years. Although I'd say the bulk of his effectiveness this year is probably going to end soon. The regression is coming.
  19. QUOTE (bmags @ May 29, 2015 -> 02:26 PM) Wade is going to cleveland. He's going to have to take one hell of a paycut to go there. I think they're better off with JR Smith and Iman Shumpert than Wade. That team doesn't need another ball handler/slasher. They need guys who can shoot.
  20. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 29, 2015 -> 02:22 PM) Wade might become a free agent again this summer. I am sure he will be the next to pass up the Bulls. http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/201...-his-departure/ Not that anyone really wants him at his price point. Wade wasn't all that good last year. His numbers dropped off a cliff after he had to be the #1 guy again. He's not capable of that anymore at his age. At best, he's a #2 guy on your team.
  21. Blatter won again, but it was close enough where he didn't get 2/3 of the vote the first time around. (It was almost 2/3 though). It'll be interesting if they'll be able to bring him down somehow.
  22. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 28, 2015 -> 10:15 AM) I've never understood LeBron settling for jumpers other than to hold off some fatigue. If he gets it in his mind to take it to the basket, he cannot be stopped, and GS will be no lock to win. You can ask the same thing about Derrick Rose. Why the hell is he settling for 30% 3 pointers when he can drive and shoot 55%?
  23. Warriors match up so well against the Cavs. They play small to begin with since Green is usually their 4 and he's was second in voting for DPOY. LeBron creates matchup problems for most teams since their 4s are usually bigger and slower, forcing teams to put 3s and 2s on him. If the Cavs wanted to play Irving, Dellavedova, Smith, and LeBron, most teams would have to play a 4 to guard one of Irving, Dellavedova, and Smith. That usually leaves one open more often than not. But the Warriors have the personnel to match those lineups extremely well. Green, Barnes, and Iguodala can all guard LeBron and they wouldn't be forced to stick Bogut or David Lee on a smaller guard. tl;dr: Warriors strongest/default lineup matches up well against Cavs' best/most used rotation.
  24. Jack Warner's probably gonna rat out Blatter. He's done.
  25. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 27, 2015 -> 10:45 AM) lmao. So they can be blamed for flopping in the sport too?
