QUOTE (ptatc @ Feb 2, 2015 -> 01:12 PM) I guess. I never really got into the how they did it. None of it struck you as too good to be true?
  2. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Feb 2, 2015 -> 10:36 AM) The nationwide one with the babies dying of a tragic accident (such as a big screen falling on top of a baby or the baby drowning) was horrendous. I had to explain that to my 12 year old while looking at my 1 year old and feeling awful. Really killed the mood of the room. There were a lot of commercials this year that made you feel bad and that's not what the SuperBowl should be about. I know they want to get their word out about things like domestic violence...but stuff like that really kills the mood at a party.
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 2, 2015 -> 10:33 AM) That is just it. A slant doesn't work when the line is jammed with defenders. It works when the defenders are off of the line in coverage. Exactly. I play a lot of Madden and if there's one thing I know, it's not to call a damn slant play on the one yard line.
  4. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Feb 2, 2015 -> 08:29 AM) The OC throwing the WR under the bus multiple times was pretty awful. That and his nonsensical explanations about wanting to take time off the clock and play for 3rd/4th down, so he called a quick inside pass on the goal line. How he can do that when the entire world thinks he screwed up is beyond me.

QUOTE (ptatc @ Feb 1, 2015 -> 12:22 AM) Factory and warehouse work for 70 hours a week. They do that from march to November then live like royalty back in mexico for the winter. These are the patients who want to get back to work asap because they miss overtime. And they can afford to cross the border every year without getting caught?

QUOTE (ptatc @ Jan 31, 2015 -> 11:25 PM) Some of the ones I've worked with said over 80k and they had the worker's comp benefit to see me in the clinic. What the hell do they do to make 80k?

QUOTE (ptatc @ Jan 31, 2015 -> 11:21 PM) No not a doctor. Physcial therapist/athletic trainer. I was just referring to the ones I've worked with who are employed at the warehouses and such where 100's are employed. I'm sure there are plenty that are unemployed but many of them come here because they can get pretty good paying jobs, usually with a family connection. So how much do these people make? Just curious.

QUOTE (ptatc @ Jan 31, 2015 -> 08:13 PM) I know some that can. They aren't burdened with many of the same responsibilities and if they have steady employment make a good buck. There are some factories and warehouses in St. Charles/Batavia area where many of them make more than I do. Sure, they don't have to pay taxes, but most people won't even hire them, let alone give them more than minimum wage. And aren't you a doctor? How are they making more than a physician? Are they in the drug trade?

QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Jan 31, 2015 -> 04:56 PM) I never said either of those, you two took it to those extremes. but if you think it has zero to do with it, you are just living with your heads in the sand. Because illegal immigrants can afford to let their kids go to Disneyland and spread Measles...sure.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jan 31, 2015 -> 04:50 PM) The most important aspect of anti-vaxxer idiocy is obviously Mexicans Africans and Muslims. Americans are never at fault, blame it on foreign people, they're weird!

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 31, 2015 -> 04:45 PM) Which is a really common belief in many African and Islamic states and cultures. But they're not the ones coming here as illegal immigrants...?
  12. Derrick can save himself all he wants, but don't shoot 10 3s a game and miss 8-9 of them. That doesn't help anyone. If he's not going to penetrate all game, pass the ball.

QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Jan 31, 2015 -> 04:02 PM) No mention of the vast amount of illegal immigrants coming in who are bringing with them these diseases? This isn't the problem. The problem is there's people who believe medical science is actually some conspiracy theory that will hurt their kids, when in reality, it does not and it's supposed to stop the spread of highly contagious diseases. Measles is one of the easiest diseases to prevent, yet there's crazy people who would rather have their kids live through it.
  14. This loss doesn't really matter...but everyone's played a ton tonight. Rose almost got hurt and it looks like Jimmy is now hurt. Not worth it.
  15. I swear, LA's rim must be bigger or something.
  16. Superstars get that call right there... Hill swatted Rose on the head before he got his hand on that ball.
  17. Come on Derrick...you can't take that step back every f***ing time at the end of the game.
  18. Where the hell was the foul on that dunk? Are these refs for real?
  19. And of course...a heat check follows that 3.
  20. Derrick finally hit a 3.
  21. Wow, we actually tied this...
  22. LA's inexperience is killing them.
