  1. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Nov 12, 2014 -> 10:28 AM) Speculation about Mike Shanahan to the Bears has already started. It will cost you roughly $38 million to dump Cutler. I would imagine that he will still be here. Shanahan is a name that we will be hearing more about I'm sure. Shanahan's offense is more or less the only offense Cutler had success running. At this rate, you can't just ditch Cutler. He's owed too much money. You're stuck with him. But you're not stuck with this coaching staff. So you might as well put him in a environment he succeeded in before and see what happens. Shanahan's also an experienced coach with a relatively good history, so I don't think it's the worst thing that can happen.
  2. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Nov 12, 2014 -> 10:11 AM) Anyone think the White Sox will have interest in this guy? He should be posted. Obviously he played in the Korean league. He is 27 years old. He hits RH. He's 6'0, 180 pounds. He plays SS/3B. AVG- .360 OBP-.463 SLG-.756 38 HR 107 RBI Here is a snippet from Keith Law who has Kang as his 15th rated Free Agent: Kang seems to have split scouts into two disparate camps: Those who see a power-hitting middle infielder, and those who see an unathletic corner guy whose power won't translate outside of Korea. I'm closer to the former camp, as I see a swing that will generate legit plus power even once he leaves his hitter-friendly home park in the Yangcheon District of Seoul. Kang has a huge leg kick and gets his lead foot down late, which could create timing issues, but the swing is rotational, and I don't think the power surge he has had the past three years is strictly a function of the rising level of offense in the KBO. It's a power swing more than a hitting-for-average swing, which makes it somewhat more important that he stay in the middle infield. He's not as fleet afoot as you would want a shortstop to be, but he has good enough hands and gets good reads off the bat, making up for some deficiencies with a 60 arm. While MLB teams are probably looking for more pure range in their shortstops now, I'd give Kang every chance to show he can handle the position, especially given the scarcity in the middle infield in this free-agent crop. He'll be posted under the old highest-bidder system, rather than the capped system now in place for NPB free agents. I'd guess at a winning bid of $15-20 million. Here is some youtube footage of Kang: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYp6zt627oA 180 pounds with 38 homers? This guy must have the wrists and forearms of Alfonso Soriano.
  3. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Nov 12, 2014 -> 09:12 AM) Probably the same reason that some people actually take yahoo's projections seriously ESPN's are even worse.
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 10, 2014 -> 07:59 PM) MLB Daily Dish ‏@mlbdailydish 2h2 hours ago Russell Martin seeking $75-$80 million over five years #Cubs #BlueJays #Pirates #Dodgers http://sbnation.com/e/6954540 Ok I take back saying I want him. No thanks. Not at that price.

  6. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 11, 2014 -> 08:00 AM) Thanks ARod, Olsen, and Beckham. For a second, I thought you were talking about baseball. It was nice to see Olsen with a good game. I was getting a little worried with his lack of production the last 3 weeks.
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 11, 2014 -> 09:45 AM) Gasol is taylor made for this offense. I hope he starts making more of those wide open jumpers. He's thrown up a couple of clunkers this year shooting-wise. He was terrible against Cleveland and a big reason why we lost that game (bad shooting + no rebounding). His overall numbers on the year are decent though. He's been fairly efficient and the blocks help his defensive numbers.
  8. I really think Derrick has matured over the past year. When he came back last year, he was god awful. He looks like a completely different player so far this year. Still explosive, just without the bricks and turnovers of last year. Hopefully, he stays healthy.
  9. Oh look, Rose played 30+ minutes, played well, and didn't get hurt!
  10. I'm so glad I don't live in Chicago right now. I wouldn't be able to turn on the radio or TV. All this s*** is too depressing.
  11. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 10, 2014 -> 01:00 PM) In one of my leagues I have Peyton, Marshawn and Jordy and there's a very real possibility that I still might lose this week. Did the rest of your players get you 0 points or something? Marshawn and Jordy got around 75 combined. Peyton got at least 25 I'd think.
  12. QUOTE (raBBit @ Nov 10, 2014 -> 02:36 PM) I'm up 60.5 in a 1/2 PPR league. My opponent has Benjamin, Maclin and McCoy. Do I take it? You might be able to squeak by.
  13. QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 10, 2014 -> 03:27 PM) They were in man coverage with a single safety and then Rodgers switched the route to something designed to beat man coverage. Briggs tried to change to zone coverage and Conte stayed in man. From what I understand, Conte should have dropped into zone so that Vereen wasn't coming from the middle of the field. This has happened before against Green Bay and it happened twice last night. In conclusion, it's Conte's fault.
  14. I had Nick Foles as my starting QB. He gets hurt last week. I start Carson Palmer and he gets hurt this week. My backup is RG3. Looks like RG3 will get hurt next week too, but that won't be too surprising.
  15. Wow we finally got a good return.
  16. Challenging a 3 yard play in a 48-7 game. For real?
  17. Do we even have plays called on offense? Because it doesn't seem like it.
  18. Did the Packers just punt? Holy s***...
  19. I'm pretty sure Rodgers is going for the TD record in this game. He needs 2 more to get it.
  20. Rodgers is probably going for 7 TDs.
  21. Woooowwwwwwwwwww... Way to take all day to throw Cutler.
  22. Damn you Tim Jennings. I need those fantasy points.
  23. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Nov 9, 2014 -> 08:53 PM) 35-0 and GB runs a safety blitz wow. They know Cutler won't pickup on it.
  24. When Eddie Lacy scores a 50 yard TD on you on a screen, just quit football.
  25. Matthews just slammed Cutler into the ground. No penalty...
