  1. Chiefs offense made the Bears offense look good vs. the Texans last week.
  2. Detroit just had 2 TDs taken away on 3 straight penalties. I don't think I've ever seen that.
  3. QUOTE (harkness @ Sep 17, 2016 -> 09:11 PM) another strong outing by Gonzalez. He's been a very nice surprise. Definitely a solid #4 or #5 going into next year.

QUOTE (Greg Hibbard @ Sep 16, 2016 -> 12:58 PM) You're not wrong. The man is having an absolutely torrid second half, and deserves unqualified praise for it. It's kind of funny how we've always complained about the Sox not finishing well in September. Yet here we are in September and Jose Abreu is one of the hottest hitters in baseball.
  5. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 16, 2016 -> 02:48 PM) Are Sox fans allowed to say this? Aren't we(obviously nobody on this board but you get what I'm saying) in general like the biggest bandwagon fans around? Perhaps. But I don't think we see anywhere near as big of a mass fan migration as the Cubs do whenever they do well.
  6. QUOTE (whitesoxjr27 @ Sep 16, 2016 -> 10:59 AM) Yeah, the bandwagon f***ers piss me off. They will be jumping up and down screaming how much they love the cubs and have been waiting for this. Most can't even name the manager from 2014. Nothing pisses me off more than casual Cubs fans acting like they've always cared.
  7. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Sep 16, 2016 -> 10:42 AM) PPR. I'd still take it. Decker's had 80 yards and/or a TD in his last 18 games. Fitzpatrick uses him a lot in/near the redzone.
  8. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Sep 16, 2016 -> 10:39 AM) Being offered Eric Decker for Julian Edelman. I hate when people try to sell high after a performance, but I just might take this. If it's standard that's a must-take trade.
  9. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 15, 2016 -> 11:09 PM) Watkins has lost all value. I'm so glad I traded him and DeMarco for Martin and Baldwin.
  10. Forte was ranked as an RB15-20. It's still early, but his value isn't that much lower than it was last year when he was a top 5 back before he got hurt.
  11. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 15, 2016 -> 10:08 PM) Lol some of these bills decisions on 3rd and short If you know it's 4 down territory, why not just run a normal play on third?

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Sep 15, 2016 -> 07:57 PM) Is that necessarily bad? Not really. But in terms of this year, yes. He was pretty awful in the first half.
  13. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 15, 2016 -> 11:01 AM) We only need him to bet the house. Please Greg, do it.
  14. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Sep 15, 2016 -> 05:12 PM) So Jeff Fisher is expected to get a 3 year extension from the Rams. How the f*** is that guy still employed let alone getting a 3 year extension? lol especially after that game in San Francisco. My god...
  15. QUOTE (hi8is @ Sep 15, 2016 -> 04:38 PM) Wow, Shields giving up 3 hits and 3 walks... No homers at the Cell with 8 strike outs in 6 innings. Against Cleveland too. Maybe he's healthy again? Those numbers sound like James Shields from 2-3 years ago.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 15, 2016 -> 04:01 PM) We have to accept the fact he's one of the better hitters in the game of baseball. Maybe in the second half, but as a whole, I don't think so. Jose is a bit weird in that his seasons are somewhat inconsistent. He's one type of hitter in one half and a totally different type in the other. Take 2014 for example. He hit a lot of homers in the first half and then his HR total dipped in the second half, but he hit for a much higher average.

QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Sep 15, 2016 -> 04:51 PM) I thought it was just 3 OF spots regardless of position. According to the way it's listed here: http://m.mlb.com/awards/ It seems like it's by individual positions.

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Sep 15, 2016 -> 04:01 PM) Betts won't be challenging, he'll be winning. East coast bias Betts has a good case as well. Has more DRS than Eaton, but UZR likes Eaton a bit more. I don't see why both can't win. There's 3 OF spots. Edit: are the 3 OF spots regardless of position or do they take position into account?
  19. If Shields has indeed been injured this whole time, then that might actually be good news for the Sox considering we have him for 2 more years. Maybe he's still got something left in him in case the injury isn't lingering or too serious.
  20. QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Sep 14, 2016 -> 03:55 PM) Guys I have a WR2 Logjam but with crappy receivers. My #1 is Dez who last week has left me doubting his ability to put up #1 numbers if Prescott is starting. But my #2 is a tossup between a banged up Sanu,a banged up Wheaton, Tajae Sharp, Eli Rodgers, and Michael Thomas. Any help here? If Sanu is healthy, start him. I'd go Sharp at #2, Thomas at #3, and Rogers at #4 if Wheaton still can't play.

QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Sep 14, 2016 -> 04:00 PM) 7th among AL position players but 9th overall, he'd be the first White Sox player to finish in the top ten in MLB in WAR since Albert Belle in 1998. If the AL wasn't flooded with great positional players, he should be getting some top 5 MVP votes from some of the more sabermetric-inclined voters.

QUOTE (shysocks @ Sep 14, 2016 -> 03:58 PM) The best part of all is that he's answered questions about whether that power surge last year was a fluke. His offensive numbers have been nearly identical this year.

He's having the best season of any White Sox positional player in a long time. I'm talking 15 years here. Eaton currently sits at 5.8 fWAR and is projected to have around 6.2 fWAR by the end of the season. FWIW, bWAR has him slightly higher at 6 bWAR. Even if he finishes at 5.8 fWAR, it will be the highest total by any White Sox positional player since Frank Thomas's near MVP season in 2000, when he accumulated 5.9 fWAR. Most of Eaton's value comes from defense, but I don't think any of us can disagree that he's been extremely valuable defensively this year. He's currently 7th in fWAR among all American League position players. His performance this year definitely moves his talent perception up. I think before this season, most viewed Eaton as a 3-4 win player. But now I think it's safe to say he's at least a 4-5 win player worthy of all-star consideration. White Sox fWAR Leaderboard over last 25 years. Edit: Eaton's 2016 is the 12th best season by any White Sox positional player in the past 25 years. Tied with Aaron Rowand in 2004 and behind numerous Frank Thomas seasons and that one year Albert Belle hit 49 homers.
  24. QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Sep 12, 2016 -> 02:27 PM) That Rams game seems like a trap game. Everyone expects the Rams D to shut SF down but man it's kinda giving me the trap game feel. Taylor is so hit and miss that I didn't keep him this season; although when he's on, he's a top 5 fantasy QB. I'm not expecting them to shut the Niners out or anything, I'm just hoping for a special teams TD or maybe a defensive TD. Anything's possible against the Niners.
  25. I'm limping into the playoffs. I've dealt with a ton of injuries on my pitching staff, but now I've got Kershaw back and some decent waiver wire pickups to keep the team going.
