O-dawg's got warning track power. That looked like at least a double when it left the bat.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jun 3, 2012 -> 03:24 PM) Lol, I was at work and couldn't hear this line from Hawk...... http://deadspin.com/5915256/hawk-harrelson...ked-with-seamen That is why Hawk should stick around. As B&B would say, Hawk is fun bad.

Ryan, Suzuki, Figgins due up for the M's in the 8th. Do you let Sale go back out there? He's at 94 pitches. I'd really like some more runs...I'm not sure if Reed will be available.

QUOTE (jeffro2525 @ Jun 3, 2012 -> 03:23 PM) Stiff back...he should probably get up and wonder around more when he's sitting the bench 19 of 20 games. He was already on the 15 day DL anyways, just not officially.

What a play by Gordo!

I hate it when our pitchers have to sprint to 1B to receive a throw. It's dangerous as s***. I still remember when Contreras tore his achilles doing that.

lol Joe Borchard. The sound from the contact was loud as hell for that home run.

That Thome HR 4 years ago was quite awesome.

Pryor's velocity is down after yesterday's outing. The 100 MPH must have been a result of adrenaline.
-
Sox vs. Mariners
Oh boy, here comes Stephen Pryor. I fear his 100 MPH fastball.

QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Jun 3, 2012 -> 02:52 PM) Alvarez has 21 SO in 72 IP? He's skating by on luck. Oh wow, I didn't know he had such a low K rate. His FIP is 5.4. So yeah...he is skating by on luck. That K rate has to be lower than Lowe's. (see what I did there?)

71 pitches through 5 for Sale, still paced to throw 7.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 3, 2012 -> 02:49 PM) Yeah, we're not getting any breaks in pitching match-ups the next month or so. The Astros' pitching sucks though.

Man, this upcoming Toronto series will be rough. Their 3 best pitchers (Romero, Morrow, Alvarez) are going.

Looks like Michael Saunders got pissed off after he got hit by Paulie's line drive.

Millwood's been very lucky today. Sox could have easily scored 2 more runs in that inning had he not deflected those grounders.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 3, 2012 -> 02:42 PM) It's hard for me to hate Rios anymore. He's having a good season. Maybe he was just a bad ballplayer when he was a centerfielder and can relax more in right or something. How can you forget that Rios was a near all-star in 2010 while playing CF...?
-
Sox vs. Mariners
Rios is taking it back up the middle again. Good to see.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jun 3, 2012 -> 02:38 PM) Speaking of the draft, remember last year when everyone laughed at the Cubs for taking Hayden Simpson in the first RD, a guy that wasn't even considered a top 250 prospect? Well, we were all right. In 114 pro innings since being drafted, he has a 6.59 ERA, 151 H, 67 BB, and 71 K to go along with a 1.90 WHIP. LOL. Absolutely terrible. Despite being awful, they have progressed him from RK to Low-A, and now High-A. In High-A, he has MORE THAN TWICE as many walks (29) as he does strikeouts (14) in 35 innings. His WHIP is 2.18. Good lord, he might be the worst 1st RD pick I have ever heard of so far. Wow, that is just epic fail.
