  1. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 15, 2011 -> 05:01 PM) You think they're bad? Excellent rotation. Above average bullpen. No matter how overpaid Wells is, he's an upgrade. If Morales comes back healthy they've got a pretty good team. Oh, that Peter Bourgos kid looks real nice. Dude can fly and he's already above average defensively. He and Trout might be the two fastest guys in baseball. I don't think they're that good. I like the rotation, but the bullpen is pretty eh. Plus, their offense lacks a lot of depth. No OBP up top or at the bottom. Morales is their only very good hitter. Everybody else in the middle of that lineup is slightly above average.
  2. QUOTE (knightni @ Feb 15, 2011 -> 03:33 PM) Sox win 94 games; eke out division title. Lose in ALDS in 4 to Angels. Dunn .230 33 HR 103 RBI Thornton leads team in saves Sox forced to make Sale a starter in May after AAA fodder blow up in every start, then he goes back to the bullpen by late June when ... Peavy comes back, is average for a 5th starter but not an ace the whole season - 4.50 era 9 wins 120k Cooper leaves in the offseason Buehrle re-signs for 3 years at 8 mil per Sox shop Danks and DFA Teahen God I would hate to lose to that bad Angels team in the ALDS.
  3. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 15, 2011 -> 09:04 AM) The review for Killzone by PSM was killer. 10/10. PSM loves KIllzone. Hell, they gave the first one a 9.4 even though it was really mediocre.
  4. 91 wins, first in the Central. Morel has a good rookie season, Dunn hits over 40 home runs, Konerko declines to near 2009 levels, Rios begins the year with struggles, but has a good second half to recover, Beckham has a breakout season, and Peavy starts 25 games.
  5. If you want to get technical, 2 of the 5 are not like the other 3. And two of the other 3 are not like the other 2. Then you have Joe Blanton.
  6. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Feb 14, 2011 -> 02:57 PM) Scary.
  7. QUOTE (danman31 @ Feb 13, 2011 -> 12:39 PM) I tried the Killzone 3 beta last night. First thing that stuck out to me was the detail in the graphics. Very impressive. However, the game seemed like a lesser copy of Halo. The second one is still one of the best looking games I've ever seen on any platform - PC included. I like how realistic it feels. The weapons feel like they should in real life - heavy. You also get a decent amount of recoil when you fire. Plus the cover system works nice.
  8. Miller missed a wide open 3.
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 12, 2011 -> 05:45 PM) http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseb...0,995467.column Phil Rogers is just...ugh. Why would the Rangers want to take in more payroll in Soriano? He's getting paid $72 million for the next 4 years and he's declining just as fast as Michael Young is, if not even faster.
  10. QUOTE (scotty22hotty @ Feb 12, 2011 -> 01:56 PM) My video game ratings (overall) Top 5 Rios - 94 Dunn - 94 Konerko - 92 Alexei - 90 Danks - 90 What game is this for? lol

  12. I wonder how good Crytek can make Crysis 2 look on the consoles. It's looking pretty good on the PC right now, but my PC video card is two generations ahead of what's in the PS3 and 360.
  13. So the Beta build of Crysis 2 got leaked onto the internet somehow... Fun, fun fun. Time to see what my PC can do.
  14. QUOTE (Cali @ Feb 11, 2011 -> 05:24 PM) Another list for you all to digest: Top 9 POWER RANKINGS pre-srping training: 9. Brewers 8. White Sox 7. Cardinals 6. Rangers 5. Tigers 4. Yankees 3. Giants 2. Red Sox 1. Phillies SHOCKED to not see the Twins on there.... Shocked to see the Tigers 5th...
  15. QUOTE (Cali @ Feb 11, 2011 -> 04:40 PM) I mentioned it in the catch all thread when the episode aired, but no Rios is a joke.... And for those who didnt see the SS episode, the reason they mentioned Alexei being so high on the list was "defensive issues..." that's just straight dropping the ball like ignorance.... He had defensive issues like 2 years ago. Do none of the people who write these things do any kind of fact checking?
  16. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Feb 11, 2011 -> 01:11 PM) PK's stance is SO different these days. That old one looks weird. He changes his stance on a weekly basis.
  17. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Feb 10, 2011 -> 04:14 PM) Yep it was all about Quantity over Quality in the the end, when you come out with so damn many sequels, it's no wonder. Hopefully Rock Band still keeps coming out though. Something similar should have happened with Call of Duty already, but people just can't stop playing a similar game with the same game engine for the past 3 years. I am also guilty of this I guess. The CoD IW engine needs some serious updating.
  18. It's not the worst idea to sell high on Liriano. For all I know, he could hurt himself again next season. Pitchers with bad mechanics should be sold high on.
  19. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 11, 2011 -> 07:19 AM) So do the Twins have anything on the way up in terms of minor league starting pitching? It seems like they've had the same batch of 5-6 guys as their starters since at least 2008. Kyle Gibson.
  20. It's also pretty sad that Matt Thornton isn't anywhere on the reliever list but Jose Valverde is...
  21. The Twins staff is a lot of mediocrity after Liriano. Please let this happen.
  22. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 11, 2011 -> 12:54 AM) These lists were just supposed to be based on 2010, correct? In general I think. There's no way Jeter should be 3 on the SS list based on his 2010 season. None.
  23. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Feb 11, 2011 -> 12:37 AM) Aparently their lists all leaked for their ongoing list series. Anyways, here's the apparent lists: MLB Network has been running this series for a while it seems. The complete list leaked anyway though. Here's the rest: Starting Pitchers 10. Josh Johnson 9. Chase Utley 1. Robinson Cano Third Basemen 10. Casey McGehee 9. Placido Polanco 8. Scott Rolen 7. Mark Reynolds 6. David Wright 5. Adrian Beltre 4. Kevin Youkilis 3. Alex Rodriguez 2. Troy Tulowitzki 1. Hanley Ramirez Left Fielders 10. Raul Ibanez 9. Carlos Lee 8. Jason Bay 7. Martin Prado He's not even a real LFer. 6. Delmon Young It's sad that I see this guy right after Matt Holliday. 5. Matt Holliday 4. Carl Crawford 3. Carlos Gonzalez 2. Josh Hamilton 1. Ryan Braun Center Fielders Where is Alex Rios?!?!?! You're telling me Matt Kemp and his horrible season last year can get #2 on this list and Grady Sizemore can be #10 after not playing a full season for two years and there's no Alex Rios? 10. Grady Sizemore 9. Jacoby Ellsbury 8. Torii Hunter 7. Vernon Wells He's in front of Rios...? 6. Colby Rasmus 5. Austin Jackson 4. Shane Victorino 3. Curtis Granderson 2. Matt Kemp 1. Andrew McCutchen Right Fielders 10. Justin Upton 9. Nick Markakis 8. Mike Stanton Already? If you're gonna give Stanton so much love, you might as well put Heyward even higher. 7. Jason Heyward 6. Nelson Cruz 5. Andre Ethier 4. Jose Bautista 3. Jayson Werth 2. Shin-Soo Choo 1. Ichiro Suzuki Managers 10. Joe Girardi 9. Bud Black 8. Buck Showalter 7. Dusty Baker Jesus Christ... 6. Bruce Bochy 5. Tony La Russa 4. Charlie Manuel 3. Ron Gardenhire 2. Mike Scioscia 1. Terry Francona I only spot 2 Sox. Alexei should be higher. WTFs are in bold. This list blows.
  24. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 10, 2011 -> 06:33 PM) The real fact is...the Sox really don't have *That* bad of a contract that they'd be interested in dumping...except for Jake Peavy...and the team's shown no interest in dumping him. This isn't Jose Contreras 2007, at least not yet. Dumping Teahen gives savings that everyone has to admit are small at best. I really doubt Teahen is going to produce at all these next two years. So that's like saving $10 million right there.
  25. The latest edition of CAIRO projections have the White Sox finishing 84-78, but in first place in the AL Central. Says Sox have 36% chance at winning division. http://www.rlyw.net/index.php/RLYW/comment...ected_standings
