  1. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jan 27, 2011 -> 12:45 AM) It's not hard to prevent Sony from banning me? How so? All I have to do is log on PSN, and they would match it and then ban my account, right? There's applications for that kind of thing already. Might not be 100% effective, but there will be one one day. Sony was unable to do anything about PSP homebrew for a long, long time. Hell, they still haven't really affected it. BTW, Sony just unveiled the new PSP2. 5 inch OLED screen. Two analog sticks. Touch screen on the back and front as well as cameras. It's gonna be awesome. http://kotaku.com/5744558/a-closer-look-at...-ngp//gallery/1
  2. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jan 26, 2011 -> 11:36 PM) I'm too worried about being banned to hack my system. It's not hard to prevent them from doing it.
  3. QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Jan 26, 2011 -> 10:28 PM) yeah man the guys that release these hacks are geniuses, specifically geohot who also hacks the iphone 4, he usually has the new jailbreaks out in a very timely manner.. whenever a new update is released its usually nothing more than a minor nuisance. Well, the origin of this hack wasn't exactly Geohot's doing. But that dude hacked the PS3 with an oscilloscope earlier in the year. I can't even fathom how that's possible.
  4. QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Jan 26, 2011 -> 10:11 PM) oh jeez this is just like the iphone 4, wait a couple weeks for the new jailbreak to come out and dont update.. thankfully im playing deadspace 2 and dont need to sign on to the PSN for multiplayer at the moment.. My plan for this was to not buy the single player games, but buy the games I really like (like The Show or Madden) or were online-heavy. I hope they'll have 3.56 figured out sometime soon. It shouldn't be too hard. The hack itself is hardware oriented.
  5. Sony just released the 3.56 update. It currently disables homebrew. I had made my CFW file and then read about it. Then I just deleted the CFW file and decided to save the $70 i was going to use on a 1 TB external HDD. I'll wait until they have 3.56 figured out I guess.
  6. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jan 26, 2011 -> 09:02 PM) Where can I get the custom firmware, and how safe/easy is it to use? http://psgroove.com
  7. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Jan 26, 2011 -> 06:04 PM) Lol yes. And RedBox and Blockbuster stands are like $2. Best part is the SNES and Genesis Emulators. Why pay the middle man when you can just get it for free? I have a huge backlog of games right now. No incentive for me to really download games at the moment. Plus, I'd need to go get a nice external HDD.
  8. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 26, 2011 -> 08:38 AM) 'Bachelor' Contestant Michelle Money slept with married Carlos Boozer Isn't Carlos still married?
  9. He'll end up missing again somehow.
  10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YmqOSu0Ngz8...layer_embedded#! It appears Cutler played a whole quarter with the MCL injury. Including the two plays at the end of the video, where he didn't slide on a scramble and also blocked Eric Walden. After this whole entire incident, I actually like Cutler more now than I have before. It really highlights his toughness as a player.
  11. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 25, 2011 -> 11:30 PM) http://www.sportspickle.com/picture/4917/2...prove-his-image Wow. Just...wow. I guess it's better to be a criminal than a douchebag.
  12. Napoli's a better player than Guerrero. More versatile and not too far off offensively. Plus, he's cheaper and is arb-eligible. Not sure I like the trade for Toronto.
  13. QUOTE (JUSTgottaBELIEVE @ Jan 25, 2011 -> 06:50 AM) how do you know the game would have been closer if cutler wasn't injured for the second half? he showed nothing in the first half to say the bears would have even scored 14 points with him in there. don't even get started on injuries either. GB was missing nearly half of its opening day starters, how many were the bears missing? also, you say miracle trip by rodgers, i say uncharacteristic and awful pass by rodgers on 3rd down that cost them 3 points. it's all in the eyes of the beholder... Does it even matter how many players GB was missing? I said they're the best team in the NFC. What else do you want? And that interception by Urlacher should have gone for 6 points or at least gotten the Bears into FG range.
  14. QUOTE (T R U @ Jan 24, 2011 -> 11:17 PM) I was just citing some instances of the Bears being fortunate, im not saying they only made the playoffs by beating depleted teams.. And lets not try to make it sound like the Bears gave away the game against the Packers, it took a furious comeback by Hanie to make it look close, the Packers were well in control of that game for the majority of it.. But the truth of the matter is, the final score was pretty close and the Bears did have a chance to at least tie the game up. The Packers did dominate the majority of the game. But it was not a easy win.
  15. QUOTE (T R U @ Jan 24, 2011 -> 11:10 PM) Thats fine, but the point is that no one really had any faith in the Bears, except Bears fans.. I don't see how that isn't agreed upon here.. no one gave them any credit pretty much all year long That's because everybody in the country pretty much took up your point of view - how the Bears were fortunate to face backup QBs. Well guess what, other playoff teams did too and some of them LOST. The Packers lost to Drew Stanton, the Bears didn't. The Eagles lost to Joe Webb, the Bears didn't. If you get the whole "oh look how many backups they faced" out of your head, you'll see that the Bears were one of the top 4 teams in the NFC this season and that they did have a chance to win yesterday. Hell, it took Green Bay a pick six, an injured Cutler, and one miracle trip of Brian Urlacher by Rodgers for them to pull that game out yesterday. And the Packers are the best team in the NFC.
  16. QUOTE (T R U @ Jan 24, 2011 -> 11:06 PM) Really? Because I didn't hear one positive thing about the Bears, or anyone who thought they could win, all week leading up to that game.. there was literally no one that was backing the Bears for this game, it was pretty much a given GB was gonna be in the Super Bowl.. The only people who I heard give the Bears a chance, were Bears fans.. whether they were call ins on ESPNRadio or my mom, but no one else.. that's why I said what I said, and I don't think it was an inaccurate statement nor was it meant to start some fight.. One of those backup QBs also beat the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field. Yes, the Bears were fortunate, but they also executed when they should have.
  17. QUOTE (JUSTgottaBELIEVE @ Jan 24, 2011 -> 08:30 PM) just did a quick lookup and median qb rating for nfl starters this year...Orton: 87.5 (#15) and Cutler: 86.3 (#16). so I would say an 85ish qb rating is average by today's standards. by those standards, all 5 of his games were below average with one game borderline average at 82.5 It's 3% above average. Cuter's QB Rating+ was a 103 this year.
  18. Good thing Derrick's getting to the line now. If he wasn't doing that, he'd be in a real slump points-wise.
  19. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Jan 24, 2011 -> 05:15 PM) I think the problem, as we see by this thread, is his attitude. That's why people are questioning him. Had it been any other QB with a charming personality, there would be no complaints. But since it's Jay and we don't like the fact that he mopes, that's where all the calling out comes into play. I agree. The media don't like him since he's not a good interview. Fans of other teams don't like him because he came off as a total douche in the Denver trade fiasco. A good amount of Bears fans don't like him because he's inconsistent and has a "jerk face". There is no winning situation for Jay Cutler when he has a bad day. Everybody will bag on him.
  20. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 24, 2011 -> 03:37 PM) Seriously, can we just let this go? There is evidence of players playing through it and evidence of players not playing through it. I can clearly recall LT moping on the sideline of the AFC Championship game against the Cotls while Phillip Rivers was running around with a brace on his knee trash talking to the Indy fans. Some guys just seem to want to win more than others. Not saying either is right or wrong for them personally, but as a fan, of course I want someone like Rivers. In the end, the point is kind of moot. Rivers could have easily screwed a good year or two of his career by playing with an injured ACL. One big hit could have put him on the sidelines for the next year. Is it really in everyone's best interest to have Cutler injured for all of next season?
  21. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jan 24, 2011 -> 03:29 PM) LT missed six weeks with a 2nd degree MCL sprain (which is what ptatc thinks it is from seeing the treatment and movement on TV). http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3222896 Oh, and Sanders criticized LT for being a p****, too. Damn, 6 weeks?
  22. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 24, 2011 -> 03:22 PM) Todd Collins = Mark Kotsay? Mark Kotsay can at least run into a hit once in a while. Todd Collins can't even complete a 10 yard pass.
  23. QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 24, 2011 -> 01:20 PM) It's so hard to deal with lovie. On one hand, some CRAZY stupid things done yesterday. on the other...he took a team with so many holes almost to the superbowl. And we held the most potent offense in the playoffs to 14 pts. How do you manage the two? He's both a really good coach and a bonehead. Well said.
  24. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 24, 2011 -> 12:15 PM) Dilfer just said that "there's some players who look for a way out of a game, from his history Jay Cutler looks for a way out". Ok, yeah, he was pushed out of town by an insane head coach hell bent on destruction. Jay Cutler also has missed ONE F*CKING GAME in his career. lol what history? That he wanted to get traded from Denver because that idiot Josh McDaniels didn't want Jay Cutler as his QB? Trent Dilfer must never watch Cutler play. The guy gets the s*** whacked out of him every game because of our o-line and never goes down easy on a run.
  25. QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Jan 23, 2011 -> 07:08 PM) Anyone who watches Cutler play knows he's tough. He doesn't slide. He hangs in there behind a poor line. This is just silly. Exactly. The guy takes huge hits at the end of almost every run. I don't think he just decided to quit.
