  1. This damn Twins lineup is just so damn bad to even look at. I mean come on, Rene Rivera? If the Sox lose this game, and I'm willing to be that they will, it is just beyond sad. This is literally a AAA lineup.
  2. This team still sucks at situational hitting.
  3. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 16, 2011 -> 08:45 AM) His brother has been really fun to watch too...s***, can that man run... Hawk loves a man who can run.

QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Jun 13, 2011 -> 06:16 PM) The new Eminem & Royce Da 5'9" EP is very impressive. As you'd expect anything else from these two reuniting. I just got it. I'm already impressed.
  5. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 10:20 PM) I actually read or saw something that said the acting was outstanding in Moneyball. It will be cool to see D-list actors play ML players like A-Rod.
  6. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 10:19 PM) Yeah, casting him in a movie like this partially compromises its credibility. But I do love Hill. The way he screamed when he saw that mummy or whatever the hell that was in "Accepted" still makes my ribs hurt to this day. Jonah Hill's awesome. I like all the actors from Apatow movies, but Jonah Hill just doesn't seem like the kind of person to play any role in a serious movie. I mean seriously, look at him. He's made for not-so-serious comedies.
  7. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-l3IXTQDsDg..._embedded#at=37 Teaser of the Moneyball movie. I want to see this, but Jonah Hill as Paul Depodesta? I just can't take that seriously.
  8. I want to get mad, but I think it's good that I don't care that much anymore. Prevents stress.
  9. We still suck against Minnesota.
  10. That's straight up bad luck.
  11. Pavano has Quentin's number.
  12. I'm still not convinced.
  13. Well, different teams, same old story.
  14. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 03:57 PM) Ooooo, late night baseball? In. Nice sig.
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 03:04 PM) He already did that once... Well, I'd like to see him do one today. BTW, doesn't Hawk like Delmon Young a lot?
  16. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 03:06 PM) Jeff Passan thinks he'll get a Carl Crawford-like deal. He sure found a good time to have a career year. Nobody would have said he'd deserve a Crawford-like deal this time last year.
  17. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 03:01 PM) So that instead we play them when Mauer, Morneau, Thome, and Nathan have returned from the Dl. 8-2 in the last 10. They can have a little league team out there and the Sox would still find ways to lose.
  18. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 03:04 PM) .815ish OPS, not that fantastic. I just never thought he had the talent. Raburn's a historically slow starter. Then he turns it on late in the year and rakes for a month or two.
  19. I'd like to see Hawk be a part of a franchise-player draft.
  20. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 07:28 AM) Ahh yes, "The Process." I always seem to get that mixed-up. Regardless, The Process does seem to finally seem to be working, but I doubt it's through any help of Dayton Moore's. I could be drafting these kids from where their draft position has been. I'm not really sure there are a whole lot of moves at the MLB level that Moore has made that really impress me. Even the Greinke trade...I think Escobar is going to be a bust, and I have argued this before, I don't think he is anywhere close to where Elvis Andrus is (whom people seem to enjoy comparing him to). Maybe being bad to get those picks is part of Moore's plan.
  21. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 02:38 PM) Man, are the Sox going to get rained out AGAIN?! Ugh, I actually miss the Metrodome. Scattered T-storms. Hey, if we can not play the Twins right now, by all means, let it happen.
  22. Any Carlos Gomez-like player.
  23. Hell, I'll trade Ozzie for Emilio Bonifacio.
  24. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 14, 2011 -> 11:00 PM) That's actually a lot more powerful than expected (although you can really tell nothing from that article). You guys are kidding yourselves if you honestly believe anyone anymore would be including top of line tech to be a selling point anymore. In fact, it never really was. PS360 are the exception. Every console before them used years old tech and I'd expect we start seeing the same again. The potential tech in these consoles evolve at too fast a rate to keep up, and even developers cannot make games that fully utilize them. Not to mention graphics haven't been the major selling point of the last two gens, so there is no point include top of the line stuff from a business standpoint. That's all not even bringing up that consoles are powerful enough that they are potentially going to start seeing diminishing returns in terms of graphics. The Wii U looks about at least 2x faster than the 360 ( I don't really know how to compare it to the PS3). That's a ton of power, and more than enough to run the two top engines out there now. That's the biggest thing. Essentially, look at it as a PS2. If will likely drag behind the competition due to being released first, but games can still scaled down for it. That was not possible for the Wii. It all depends on what the next Playstation or Xbox will feature. The new Battlefield game will be one of the first games to really push the newer generation video cards on PC. It is not economical for the Wii U to feature a new gen. card given its expensive controller, but I feel like Microsoft and Sony will definitely put something a lot more powerful in their next gen. machines.
