  1. Who was it that called PK's home run? I know somebody did.
  2. QUOTE (southsidepride15 @ Aug 9, 2010 -> 08:21 PM) I understand. The fact is though is that these types of series' will happen throughout a 162 season, no matter how good of a club you put out there. If the O's are just "bad" and we lose 3-4 to them then are we "bad" or "worse than bad" at 15 games over .500?? All I'm asking is that we don't expect to play .800 ball and run away with it. I want as bad as anyone to pound these teams, but since we're not, the upcoming series' with Det. and Minny are all that much more of a gut check for team called the White Sox that we're all still apparently so unsure of. We're not asking for .800 ball, we're asking for .500 ball against the worst team in baseball.
  3. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Aug 9, 2010 -> 08:18 PM) To quote Ranger; If we don't make the playoffs, it's cause of pitching. Talk about trying to make a point...
  4. lol why is he sueing Rawlings and Castro again? Did they make the bat "too hard"?
  5. QUOTE (southsidepride15 @ Aug 9, 2010 -> 08:09 PM) Yeah, blow it up...we're terrible. Twins rule. We go on a bad stretch of a few games against a "bad team" (there are no bad teams) and everyone's ready to pack it in and b#$% about how we look like we did in April and May. NEWSFLASH: It's not going to come easy. We just might have to play the last 50 games and see what happens. I need you to something for me. Scroll up to the top of this page. Look at what is inside of the parenthesis after "Orioles". Now tell me if you think there are bad teams... They're 37 games under .500 and they have 37 wins.
  6. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Aug 9, 2010 -> 08:08 PM) shhhhhh, u might be accused of being "negative" Stating facts like those will definitely count as being negative.
  7. I've had enough of this bulls*** from the offense. My god.
  8. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Aug 9, 2010 -> 07:58 PM) Castro cant catch for EJax. AJ way better at blocking in the dirt A.J. had a passed ball earlier on a strikeout.
  9. Horrible play by Konerko, just terrible.
  10. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Aug 9, 2010 -> 07:52 PM) The strategy of 'dont waste any outs ever' works when you have a skull-crusher of an offense to make up for it. We don't, so I think most here would rather get runners in scoring position when you can. It works better in that type of offense, but overall, it works well for the average offense, too.
  11. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Aug 9, 2010 -> 07:51 PM) Did Dayan's foot get caught on the bag during the transfer? Yeah, but he still should have had the transfer easily. He rushed it.
  12. QUOTE (southsidepride15 @ Aug 9, 2010 -> 07:49 PM) Please tell me you're kidding. IF Q man's up and does his job right there Rios' contribution to scoring that run is just as great as the man who knocks him in. If Rios gets a hit there, we'd be leading 2-1. There's the difference.
  13. That run we couldn't score would look even better now.
  14. That second run sure would have been nice...
  15. That inning was starting to look really bad.
  16. QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 9, 2010 -> 06:51 PM) I should start taking count of how many times that saying screws up rallies. Ok, that's once now.
  17. QUOTE (Greg Hibbard @ Aug 9, 2010 -> 06:51 PM) Don't stop now boys I should start taking count of how many times that saying screws up rallies.
  18. It's a good thing Alex is hitting again.
  19. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Aug 9, 2010 -> 06:47 PM) Haha at Quentin and Pierre HBPs. I don't think Pierre has been hit hard all season though. Carlos has actually gotten hurt from those. A lot of Pierre's HBPs are the product of his big jersey.
  20. QUOTE (Greg Hibbard @ Aug 9, 2010 -> 06:45 PM) I like the way Hawk is calling every fly ball a hang whiff em That lillibridge one wasn't exactly a line shot That's what I would call a fliner.
  21. QUOTE (Greg Hibbard @ Aug 9, 2010 -> 06:37 PM) And yet AJ is still in there with his .195 average against LHP I'm sure Ozzie has his reasons. It's most likely his "gut" feeling...
  22. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Aug 9, 2010 -> 06:34 PM) So what are the chances Jones is odd man out when/if we add a bat? Kotsay can PH. Lillibridge can be CF. Teahan the corner spots. None really. His occasional home run and his defense are actually quite valuable off the bench.
  23. QUOTE (Greg Hibbard @ Aug 9, 2010 -> 06:33 PM) man, is this a split squad game? Jones, Viciedo and Lillibridge? Matusz is left handed.
  24. Hey Andruw, don't break your back swinging...okay? And maybe you can think opposite field once in a while.
