I really liked last year's. I was sitting there all pissed at Kenny not even budging when the Tigers got Jarrod Washburn (who was then pretty good). Then Jon Heyman tweets something along the lines of "Peavy to the White Sox, I'm not kidding". Oh that next hour was full of joy...

If I hadn't watched Bobby's horrible location, lack of control, and his overall reluctance to throw his curveball this season, I'd actually think he was unlucky. His FIP and xFIP are in the high 2s and he's almost accumulated a whole win above replacement as a reliever. But I have watched him, so I can't say he's really that unlucky.

Went to Wrigley the other day, saw some of the shirts they were selling outside and just started laughing at how bad they were.

If Hudson is dealt, we might see Chris Sale pretty soon. Carlos Torres isn't going to last as a 5th starter for real long.

Fielder would put us in a financial pickle next year. He'd literally hand-cuff this team with his arbitration. You don't need a huge .400 wOBA hitter like Fielder or Dunn. You need somebody who's better than the combined .320 wOBA Kotsay and Jones are putting up. Adam LaRoche, David DeJesus, Luke Scott, they all can do that. You don't want to over-do it.

I think of Daniel Hudson's ceiling as being a Shaun Marcum type pitcher.

He was loading more, maybe he was trying to hit for more power? I noticed that he's changed his stance at the plate recently. He's now closed, whereas he was either slightly open or wide before.

Jayson Nix = a half-way decent player.

Javier Vazquez could take one bad inning out of all of his starts and he'd be a Cy Young contender almost every year. The fact that people would bring up Jenks' bad outings just says that Jenks is wildly inconsistent and can't be relied on at all times.
