  1. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 12:25 PM) Bulls: We'd really like to have you Wade: Seriously? Bulls: Well if LeBron goes somewhere else, then maybe yeah Wade: Oh Bulls: Wanna watch "Come fly with me" and maybe "Michael Jordan's Playground"? That should explain why it lasted 90 minutes.
  2. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 12:11 PM) Some loyalty. That meeting should have lasted 18 years.
  3. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 11:12 AM) I actually think 2008 is Ozzie's and Kenny's saving grace as much as 2005. Because that showed they could build a winner a year after disaster. Still, the game is evolving. I'm still satisfied with KW as our GM. But I'm not certain this franchise can fully take off with Ozzie as manager. Even though Kenny isn't a saber guy, most of the guys he acquires are good players. It's not like he's pulling off terrible deals like Dayton Moore or Ed Wade.
  4. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 11:12 AM) Am I the only one who sees D-Wade as a VAST downgrade from LeBron? (not that i think anything will happen with Wade, jsut reading a few of the latest posts. Everybody is a vast downgrade in comparison to LeBron.
  5. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 10:43 AM) Gooden signed a 5/32 deal with the Bucks. Think they're overpaying on that one. If they can sign Salmons, they'll have quite a deep team going into next season though if Bogut can get back to 100%. Drew Gooden's not good enough to deserve a 5 year deal...
  6. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 10:32 AM) Not that my opinion means a thing, but if we don't win the central, I want Ozzie's ass gone. As long as we get a replacement who can make a lineup and manage a bullpen, I'm for it.
  7. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 10:37 AM) Obvious guy is obvious. Thanks.
  8. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 10:33 AM) I saw a rumor about Jefferson that he's gay and they kind of found out about it in San Antonio, which is part of why he wants to get out of town. It's certainly sketchy as to if that's true (I think those rumors actually started last summer), but even with the lockout potentially coming, it makes no sense for him to opt out of 15 million dollars next year. I'd be surprised if the TOTAL for the deal he ends up signing is even 15 million. lolwut?
  9. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 10:30 AM) Definitely, but we've known that all along. Hey, don't ruin my moment of being obvious.
  10. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 10:27 AM) Yeah, I don't think he'll actually win it. Even if he were to maintain this pace. But he's having a hell of a season. He's always been one of my favorite players to watch. I wonder why we never went after him. At $6 million, he was very affordable. That's we offered Damon... I swear, this whole rotating DH idea has been a huge disaster. And any supporters of it have to realize that we've been screwed out of Thome, Vlad, and whoever can't play the field because of it.
  11. Reality definitely sucks. If we don't get LeBron, Wade (yeah right), or Bosh, we're pretty much screwed.
  12. Vlad is a DH, so no... You almost need Barry Bonds numbers if you want to win the MVP as a DH. Look what happened to Ortiz in 2006.
  13. QUOTE (Pants Rowland @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 08:44 AM) Wrong thread? http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=78227 It does fit nicely here, though. ;-) No, it was definitely for this thread.
  14. YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARD, YESSSS, YESSSS! Mercy!
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 30, 2010 -> 09:49 PM) Didn't matter at the time, but ump screwed Pena on the 2-2 pitch to Guillen. The check swing? Yeah...
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 30, 2010 -> 09:48 PM) I agree, it didn't cost us the game. It just made it more difficult to comeback all the way to tie/take the lead. The usual issues were present again for the Sox...underachieving starting pitching, poor clutch hitting, NO power from anyone besides 3/4/5 What are you talking about? Brent Lillibridge and Omar Vizquel were the only guys who had extra base hits...
  17. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 30, 2010 -> 09:41 PM) Yeah, you reallystepped out on a f***ing limb there It definitely required a lot of thinking. More thinking than Ozzie used when he brought in Randy Williams.
  18. lol, I was right, we lose 7-6.
  19. It's up to Dayan.
  20. lmao, that got me excited.
  21. Linebrink struck someone out?
  22. QUOTE (noodle_53 @ Jun 30, 2010 -> 09:34 PM) Maybe he's learned. Trust me, most Royals fans are thrilled with Yost and would love to keep him past this year. Hmmm...seems a bit weird. He was terrible in Milwaukee.
  23. This gun isn't wrong. GameDay is saying he's throwing 97-98.
  24. QUOTE (noodle_53 @ Jun 30, 2010 -> 09:31 PM) You're welcome for that pointless bunt. How bad is Yost in comparison to Ozzie?
  25. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 30, 2010 -> 09:30 PM) Liney hits 97. He can't throw anything else for a strike though.
