Simply put, Lincecum's just not as good as he was a year ago. The FIP and xFIP are up with his ERA, he's no longer a super dominant pitcher. He's given up more home runs, his change-up has been much less effective than it was last year resulting in less Ks. He's also walking more people. It might be a combination of things.

The 05 defense was better.

I think Bobby Jenks would be somebody they would like. But if it's SP they want, we don't have any to give.

Alexei Ramirez's WAR is now 1st in the AL among all SS. He's also third on the team among position players behind only Konerko and Rios. Alexei Ramirez has a +/- of +21. That is #1 among all SS in MLB and #1 among all position players in MLB. I knew Omar Vizquel was going to have somewhat of an effect on Alexei, but I didn't expect him to have THIS much of an effect.

Luke Scott makes $4 million this year. He is arbitration eligible next year. Would be a great trade for the Sox to make if they can't get Dunn or DeJesus in a reasonable deal.

The problem with getting McGrady is that if you do get him, how much do you pay him? The Bulls have $4 million left to spend before reaching the cap. Even if you give McGrady a two year deal worth $5-6 million, they'd have less than $2 million left to spend on a big. We don't know how good Omer Asik will be.

Man the Indians defense sucks. That official scorer in Minnesota must be blind, a ball went right off of Jason Donald's glove that was hit right at him and he ruled it a hit. Either that or he's doing favors for the Twins hitters. Another reason why errors are a horrible way to evaluate defense. Not only is it subjective, but these guys are doing favors for their home town hitters at times.

Holy s***. Pittsburgh just scored 9 in the bottom of the first. Pedro Alvarez hit a grand slam. There were two consecutive errors and the Pirates had back to back to back doubles. Dave Bush is absolutely terrible.
