This will literally be the most unimpressive no hitter I've ever witnessed if it happens. Although it is against the Rays...

QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 08:38 PM) Jackson threw 132 in a start last year. This is the 6th time he's thrown 120+ all within the past 2 years. That's cause Leyland was his manager.

He's basically walking the guys he thinks that might get a hit off of him, lol. If he doesn't throw his damn arm out, I'd be surprised. At 125 pitches now.

QUOTE (BearSox @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 07:32 PM) I was really worried someone wasn't going to say Chase Blackwood. I expect some retaliation for this.

QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 08:10 PM) 98 pitches 1 HBP, 7 BB. This won't be very friendly on his FIP. It might be one unimpressive no hitter.

The Buyers Thread
QUOTE (beautox @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 07:01 PM) I would like to see a under the radar move like this: Gabby Sanchez + Taylor Tankersley to the Sox for Morel, Griffth and PTBNL(trayce thompson) that gives the sox a nice looking 1B bat in the vein of Mark Grace and the second LH for the pen in the LOOGY role and an insurance policy if Sale can't make it up in the very near future. Marlins have Logan Morrison Are you serious? With that package, they can probably get LaRoche.

June Catch All White Sox Thread
QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 05:05 PM) I'm not sure what the reason is, but I find Ed Farmer a lot easier to listen to this year. He's talking less. Unfortunately, that means more DJ. And more DJ = BAD.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 05:49 PM) I love Sabermetrics. Five years ago it would be nearly impossible to see that Jake wasn't pitching nearly as badly as the superficial numbers implied. Sabermetrics showed and proved that a correction was imminent. That's why I kept faith. It was only a matter of time. Both Floyd and Peavy had pretty good peripherals when they had really s***ty ERAs.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
I love this team right now. Peavy's ERA now well below 5 and his FIP is at 4.13 and his xFIP is at 3.99. As a nice tidbit, the White Sox starting staff leads the AL in FIP and xFIP. Our entire starting staff is now under a ERA of 5. Pitching has been the key.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 04:30 PM) didn't hinrich come off the bench a lot? wouldn't that change those numbers? He was better last year, when he was a bench player, than he was this year...
